I like this. Give it a combined Risa/Andoria purpose and use it for hunting dangerous animals, dualing other klingons in melee tournaments. Maybe a "hunt the prisoner" mission that requires players to speak to locals with varying degrees of honesty.
I can stand behind this theory. But I'll point out that (until fleet starbases) the only use of the transwarp gate was transportation to Gamma Orionis so it would be my guess they're preferably used for extreme long range transport. By linking two portals you create a stronger and more stable bond than a ship independently…
I agree with you, I've just had diminishing returns used to describe the afformentioned situation which causes confusion over whether to stack consoles or not. (the answer is do it, for our viewers out there) Just to make sure the word doesn't scare people off
I think you down it too easily. I concur shield capacity is a problem, but we're talking an extra 2000DPS with the tractor beam. In my case, thats like adding two beam banks. I'd still suggest it if you're in a sci ship and have the consoles for it.
Technically all consoles have diminishing returns, its just more obvious with hull plating. Just an example, a console that adds 10% to base damage. You have 100DPS and add this console. You have 110DPS now. Add a second. You have 120DPS which is only 8.3% return. Common misconception that may have obstructed many people…
With HE3 I've managed 25000 but that's all I really have. Ordinarily a hull tank is a bad idea, however. Shield tanking is used so often because it diminishes kinetic damage by 90% while exceeding the hit point regen of a good hull tank.
If you're not specced for torpedoes and you don't use any torpedo abilities, HarPeng is great. The base damage is good with an effective proc. Thats why I recommend it for scis who don't want to go all energy. You can use the space you didn't use for Torpedo Spread or High Yield for something else. This is especially…
Even though its value is not based on its actual condition. The only reason apple computers appear to last longer than other computers is because they're being compared against the dells you buy by the pallet. Construct a PC out of quality parts and it will last just as long and at half the price.
Its an okay ship, but the DSSV does the exact same thing. And now that mirror ships are 50k a piece only the hardest role players are going to ever bother
The Tachyokinetic is as essential as the Assimilated Borg Console. The rest of the set is... okay? But the set bonus isn't worth the monetary cost. If you're already using Antiprotons, then it can be a neat damage augment but who uses chroniton torpedoes?
Definitely less damage potential. Maybe a choice between or a crappy version of both? Also I've seen one D'kyr in the last week. Sooo... I don't think the vulcans will mind
I posit that tactical team is overrated but having engineering team in that Lieutenant spot is kind of a waste. The bonus over Engiteam1 is so minimal compared to what could be there. I do perfectly good damage without any tac abilities (and it gives more room to keep up an excellent tank) Grav well 2 is so nice- I get…
The reason the environments are so wide and tall is for the camera. If you've ever walked in the Temporal bridge (the only one I know), you'll notice its perfectly proportioned but if you try to look from a birds eye view, the camera runs right into the ceiling. They could stand to tone it down just a bit, though.
During World War Three, the Eastern Coalition was repeatedly bombarded by nuclear warheads which caused a localized Nuclear winter over the region. In an attempt to correct the issue, they developed nanomachines that would dissipate the cloud. The machines quickly went out of control without any sort of shut down switch…
They really should just open up more competitions to design ships. And why don't they design some ships that make support/cleric more of a viable career path?
You really have to luck into a person in the wild, usually. The RP community is pretty poorly organized so the hundreds of us there are often distributed into twice as many fleets.
Correct. The only reasons to buy one is you want an advantage for the short time you'll be in that rank, have a particularly favored ship, or want a discount on the fleet version later on.
The delta flyer had that little back room with two beds and a medical bay. And the Aeroshuttle was supposedly not finished. The canon reason was the ship was brand new, and an aeroshuttle wouldn't be necessary for a quick trip to the badlands. The actual reason was that Insurrection was in production and they didn't want…
I think the Delta Flyer must have been larger than a runabout or at least have more operational capacity. If you remember, the Runabout has two chairs up front that control all systems. I think there were four officers positions in the Delta Flyer, though. So just by that, it makes sense that the Flyer would probably have…
I'd love to have a starfleet uniform in my closet, soon as I can find one that doesn't velcro together or look like a cheap costume. So I guess that just makes me a wish-he-was cosplayer?
Imagine trying to land the DSSV with its dangly sensor module. These things are designed for warp dynamics and as a result most are too top heavy to balance on a planet. Thats why we transport everywhere.
PWE makes its money off the zen store. But people are only going to spend so much on a single game so having multiple games encourages players to buy something for each one. Increasing their game inventory increases they're player base as well.
