With Polaron Tech being available in the Alpha quadrant, they could move to that technology instead to add variety, but even standard phaser that are goldish yellow wouldn't bother me. And I just thought of another under utilized race that they could not only use, but it could be your starting vessel: The Tzenkethi could…
Exactly. The concept of no free-wwll makes it completely rediculous to think of players controlling individual spheres and cubes doing their own thing.
When the mainstay population hasn't been taking part in any of the major wars for the last generation and these other factions have, your numbers are on the rise while others are on the fall. They got pummeled pretty badly during the Dominion war, but that was TWO generation ago. Only a handful of extremists have been…
Flat out, the RNG hasn't worked correctly since the map merger for both getting missions available and completing missions to the same rates listed on the missions themselves
The percentages are not running correctly. Instigate Defection missions in particular are failing at rates FAR beyond what it lists. The RNG for completing certain missions and even finding particular missions is way off.
Yep. There is none of the starting 20 that get spared from the executioners axe. Really wish they'd integrate those 20 in with other exchanges and give you a random 20 unbound with certain specifications (1 Common Gorn doctor, 2 Common Security Officers, 1 Common Klingon Assault etc). Always hate game aspects with little…
I'd also like to see more varied prisoners for both sides: Tal Shiar, Borg, Delta quadrant, other races for each side not currently found (Ferasan, Lethean, Saurian etc). There is still so much improvement that could be done with the Doff system that could absorb players for hours on end fly around managing the right…
Or integration programs, prisoner exchanges with different factions, or even just dropping them back off at their homeworld, as per the overly empathetic, no way starfleet would ever actually win a war, style of Star Trek.
If you played City of Villians, you'll know Cryptic is proficient in TRIBBLE all other sides then what they deem is the "reason" of the game. The first mistake was making Romulans a mutt faction, and nothing will ever correct that now. I don't understand why they didn't just decide to ally Romulans with Starfleet…
This is cryptic. They will NEVER know how to treat different factions the same in their games. They'll just assume everyone wants to play who THEY want to play, and then make all other factions play similarly as to ensure different kinds of players aren't attracted to those different factions, neglect the other factions to…
Saying Cards are a bad idea then claiming Borg is a good one makes me dismiss the comment altogether. Borg are best served as an imminent threat NPC faction. Cardassians have political ties to the current factions and makes sense for them to have times where they put aside differences to defend the Alpha and Beta…
It's probably the best for many of the people here, but it's not the best and it's not without its flaws. Modern MMOs are more like single player games in a online environment. This game consistent detracts from the fact other players are there. I was a Gorn teamed with a Romulan the other day and playing the Roms missions…
I'm noticing that the only Reman is Lo'nek, the Security guy you start with, which is making this difficult as well as diversity is smaller then I thought. I'll probably expand the reach with Suliban, Romulans, and Remans that are Klingon cards as well. Didn't realize Romulan cards were strictly Romulan. But this bridges…
Another Breen ship bites the dust. I just wish they'd stop dragging their feet with the Cardassians. The longer they wait, they more options they freaking lose.
Wow nothin'? I would have thought a vet somewhere would have had something. Guess market it is. Not sure how many purple doffs will be around in the late game with the green border unfortunately.
This is one of the better I quit threads I've seen. As someone who's played this game off and on, I can frankly tell you PvP was destroyed and PvE was built for people who suck at life and need a gimme win to feel good about themselves. This is by far the worst display of excessive OPing of the players in order to ensure…
There is at least 40 things I can think that need to be in game before mounts, and another 40 things that need maintenance performed/adjusted. Like others have said, this is probably not the game you're looking for if you want to ride around on a speeder or horse all day.
Well I owe everyone an apology. I thought Roms got ALL the ships of their parent faction, not just the tier 2-4 vessels. Yes. All three factions should have a comparable amount of vessels for their faction. The problem is the super nerd Trekkies playing Feds buy every awful rehash of a ship for that faction. Even though…
So would Card weapons be Polaron if done? Seems they modified the Romulans weapons just to make them different. Using Jem Hadar tech as default is fitting, with lower grade spiral wave phasers as consistent mission rewards in addition to lots of standard phaser drops and rewards.
Honestly, Siskos rank saved him. He was a Captain, not an Admiral. You don't spend resources assassinating someone that far down the chain when staging an invasion.
People constantly make references to the Obsidian Order being " no more". Why has there been no effort to get them involved again? Story wise they were indeed wiped. Anything past that is us just filing in the details with our mind to make more sense of it.
Am I the only one that has noticed the Roms get more then anyone? What the point of making any other toon? You can get all the same stuff the others get plus Romulan things. I'd have been "all in" with Romulans until the Cards if they were a Legit faction. But instead........
Your the Feds. Just like real civilized earth, your stuck with prisoners forever, no matter what they've done. There's no getting rid of them so deal with it.
I would if it was a new Gorn vessel. The KDF have a unique position where they can dip from other groups vessels. They need to attempt to diversify a bit on the top.
Klingons are a always a risk. They knock each other off all the time, but the last thing you want is a tactful, strategic, charismatic Klingon who wasn't challenging the superior to take his place. He could begin a "Waaaaaggggghhhhh" (sorry for stealing from another IP) that would set the Dominion back 25 years while the…
