I'm having a similar problem on my PC. Haven't played the game in a long while. Needed to install it, as current install doesn't have it. I downloaded it from Steam earlier this evening, and on the first run, it of course wanted to patch up. It keeps going to about 26 GB downloaded (of 22 GB, lol?), then back to 14 GB…
I agree. I have over half a million credits per toon in the fleet, and no way to use *just* the credits, unless I want to buy hundreds of 100 Fleet Mark bonus pools.
Add my voice to this list. I finished the "Tour The Galaxy" event (2 loops, in fact), and at the end of my first loop, in my chat/loot window, I saw "You received 1 Trait Unlock - Space Trait: Well Travelled". However, the traits does not appear in the available space or special traits list, nor in my active traits list.…
I must agree. Adding enemies just for the sake of adding enemies somehow feels wrong. I feel that new additions should be backed up by solid story, and I fear that the Chodak would not be, in Cryptic's hands.
To be honest, I'm no fan of Cryptic's brand of cutscenes, I think the animations look stilted and wrong. There is a screamingly obvious difference between a Cryptic cutscene and Star Trek on TV as we know it, and it shows, glaringly, to me at least. If they did add this, I was hoping, that like the original, except for the…
I don't see that similar cutscenes would *have* to be made for any factions, for example the KDF got along with much less content than the Starfleet side for quite some time. As much as I loved A Final Unity, STO didn't give me that same sense of deja-vu, because it, like most MMOs, is all about grinding at higher levels.…
Yes, the scale is off, but consider, the cutscenes were pre-rendered and if the display resolution was higher than that of the clip, it was simply centered, not stretched, by the game engine.
Seeing that STO is now down for maintenance, it makes me think of this. A short clip, 18 seconds or so, from the 3rd season of Enterprise. YouTube Link
