Gamma Quadrant comes to mind. DS9 themed updates are coming, so I'll remain optimistic about being able to poke around a sector block in the Gamma Quadrant. I'd be down for the Dominion being an adversary similar to the dynamic between the Federation and the Klingons in TOS. Not at war, but opposed to each other while they…
DOffing with ships sure, not having heartburn about that since I'd rather DOff with them instead of have them sit in spacedock collecting dust. Sending my ships to conduct a patrol of Heralds, assist with disaster relief, or provide support in establishing a colony all sounds great to me. Even sending them off to do some…
Really hoping it's a genuine betrayal from Gaius. I'd be disappointed if it just turned out to be Sela having control over him through his Borg Implants.
Good topic. 1) In what way did you reduce or end your participation in queued content? It wasn't abrupt, but seeing Foundry doors on fly by in space factored into this quite a bit. Foundry accessibility and the abundance of ad-hoc group content has rendered the queues obsolete and serve more as tools for benchmarking your…
Max level characters would have something to accrue regardless since they would start the system with no points just like a newer character would. Whether a player had one or several max characters doesn't prevent the system from being introduced earlier in a player's character progression. EDIT: The original point I made…
The Iconians have done a great job at being a catalyst for bringing people together. At least in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.Their plans of conquering the galaxy by instigating conflict saw very limited success, and has resulted in the "Grand Alliance." I'm not entirely clear on the connection between the Spherebuilders…
I can dig that. My personal taste would be as soon as you hit Lt. Cmdr., since Cryptic is already throwing a little bit at you at a time (such as DOffs being a thing not at start).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDrABWb9VIQ Sums up my thoughts on current state. A more organic experience would be great. Or content released at a quicker pace to keep me busy. Foundry needs to be integrated better and not hidden behind a UI.
Right, which the marks go straight to where they need to go. Collectable at the end of the encounter similar to the mark box selection. We wouldn't be flying around the map if we just get it all in a nice neat little box and hit 'accept'
I'd indeed be in favor for removing the roll system altogether, and replacing it with personal loot that is collectable at the end of an encounter. Similar to the mark box selection we get at the end of queued events.
As has been mentioned, the metagame marches towards the "apply damage ASAP" banner without wavering since much of the game is about plowing through encounters as quickly as possible. It didn't start with the revamped STF's, but it's been reinforced by them, and has become commonplace in the queued content. It stands to…
Some of the topics I've talked about on the show come straight off the forums, and I've occasionally posted on the forums, indicated by the post count under my name. I can't speak for Teri or Hav, but I don't interact on these forums very often because there's often very little that can be contributed to, or that is worth…
This has been my sentiment for awhile, which was why I pitched it to him during the interview. Not sure I would go so far as to produce a passive AoE heal (like a HoT). Added damage resistance aura as an option, similar to some of the engineering consoles. Adding value without automating certain functions would be my goal.…
This wouldn't be a server-side setting. It would just be client side, which wouldn't affect anyone outside of the person making the change to their own VFX. No problem here for PvP. EDIT: For example, changing my draw distance doesn't mean the opposing ship can't see me until the distance I specify.
More in-depth investigative gameplay would be welcome, regardless of what faction it is that has it. Preferably all three of them should have something more cerebral than just talking to NPC's. Something on the level of what The Secret World has with regards to it's Investigation Missions would be awesome.
Actions define, words are but a TRIBBLE in the wind. I'm excited over the recent announcements, but we'll see how awesome it all is when we get to start playing it.
I'm hoping for just an announcement, not a patch. Any content that's coming should get shoved onto Tribble first so we can test it, allow us to give feedback, and then have the content be released on Holodeck without the suggested fixes from those of us doing testing there.
Looking at the picture has me leaning heavily in the direction that we're going to see a return of Hakeev in some way. The glowing eye makes a strong case for this, while the rest of his face (while could be interpreted as Reman) looks to be scarred up from when we left him for dead amidst the rubble of the city in Cloaked…
Robust Economy There's some semblance of economy. It tends to revolve around selling high end Mark XI and XII items, and items that come out of Lockboxes or the Lobi Store. Not a "wrong" model, but it's not one that really promotes the player to player economy so much as it promotes buying Lockboxes to sell the items…
I think it has more to do with the return on investment instead of player's that are interested in them. It might have been Dan that said this awhile ago, but the cost of making the FE's was so high that it required the attention of a majority of the team at that time to do them. Granted the staff is bigger now than what…
If there were an incentive to get on Tribble (Zen, Dilithium, cash, or other), would I test? Maybe... My chosen occupation isn't as a Game Tester or QA. I have Star Trek Online installed because I enjoy playing Star Trek Online. Being one of the hosts of a STO Podcast though, I find that it's beneficial to hop onto Tribble…
