It's not about the Enterprise, but the Kelvin, who at introduction was radically different than the NX-01 to TOS transition ships we're familiar with in the regular prime-verse

*sighs* There's no hole. Cochrane's Phoenix is the branching point for the warp engines, not the Narada. Without the TNG prime-universe pollution, we get the bulkier JJ-verse nacelles.

Could always play the DS9 card and say the outpost was setup near a wormhole to the cloud...would give a "fresh" exploration angle while keeping one end of the stories grounded in the proper area.

I haven't really done any "in depth" reviews, that's more evil70th's thing...I'm just playing missions and maybe pointing out some things here and there, but mostly just sharing the fun of foundry. So I guess what I'm saying is that I'll play a mission, but don't expect the kind of thing evil70th does :)

You need to get out more, Star Charts isn't the "official" map...STO's map only loosely follows Star Charts and has made some notable differences. As a milestone: all the existing STO sectors have been "plopped" and the overall map is updated to reflect this. Integration of TNG seasons about 70% complete. The stars database has over 11,000 entries.

The one caveat to Y-axis is don't use reach markers...in my experience the casual player will have problems locating them. So if you make Y-axis changes that are going to be beyond the radius of a reach, better plop a flasher.
