This mission is a Klingon version of the Romeo and Juliet story...not like "Hamlet" as a human play in klingon...but instead a klingon re-telling of R&J without any human context at all.
This mission also serves as a basis for two other upcoming missions, the second mission based around "Much Ado About Nothing" and the third "King Lear" -- characters and settings introduced in this mission (and survive) will appear again in the next two missions.
The Klingon action in this mission are much "harder" than some may like, by that I mean they are not the "empty threat" or "soft and fuzzy" Klingons of TNG or DS9, who talk a good game but are more often than not targs who bark more than bite...on the main city maps there is a loresinger popup which contains background info, etc. which may answer some questions about some things.
That being said, this isn't a "grinder" mission...it's an "immersion" mission, a story mission...there is combat, but you are often given the opportunity to exercise your choice if you'll fight (in some cases its not even appropriate for you to intervene, etc.)
Anyway, here's "the hook" summary:
"Survival Must Be Earned"
ST-HFRZNLYYO
Author: malize
Lang: English
Faction: Klingon
Level: Any
Description:
**Survival Must Be Earned **
* a klingon Romeo and Juliet *
Survival Must Be Earned -- This is an ancient Klingon axiom that has lost some of its meaning during the time of the Federation Alliance. But not in areas of the Empire far away from the more cosmopolitan Qo'Nos, like the ancient colony world of AnSa'ra.
Here the ancient households had withdrawn during the time of the Alliance, but when Gowron called for war, the warriors of AnSa'ra answered and returned to their world with great honors and Cardassian riches.
Now the old warrior leader, Klasq, hero of every campaign of the Cardassian and Dominion Wars has died, suddenly in his sleep. The houses of AnSa'ra are eyeing each other warily while waiting for Klasq's son, Kreg, to return from the front and take control of his house.
What they don't know is you'll be coming with him to the Kahless Expanse in the Omega Leonis Sector Block.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
Oooh, sounds interesting! I had an idea for turning a (non-Shakespeare) classic into a KDF mission, I'm surprised there aren't more. Will try and play this soon!

So it definitely inspired me to get some more work done on my own Klingon Shakespeare adaptation. Here's the one I want to do http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolanus
There was a great movie adaptation that came out last year I think. That one put it in a modern setting but with the original wording. I think I'd rather change the wording to something more accessible.

Do you have any tips?
that's somewhat hard not knowing exactly what you are doing to convert the story...but...if I were doing this play I'd have the player in Aufidius' role.
titus as head of the primary (or great) house of the world and agrippa (now female and titus' wife)
coriolanus as head of his own house, subsidiary to titus (members: wife, son, mother)
brutus and sicinius heads of their own houses, lesser than coriolanus' house but also subsidiary to titus' house (perhaps valeria as one of their mates)
the player represents another great house wishing to muscle in on the world in question
scene 1
setting: great hall of titus
titus away in service to the empire, his wife fulfilling his role while he is absent
a terrible blight has damaged the food supply and the player has been sent by the empire with the macguffin to repair the blight.
at the great hall of titus, the player has beamed down with the crates of macguffin...there is a confrontation where titus' wife wants the aid and but coriolanus rejects it as coming from the hostile great house, and insists that titus would do so also if he was there...she ignores him/overrides his objection...he blasts the crates of macguffin and tells the player to bugger off and a time limit to leave orbit
the player beams away to get further instructions
scene 2
setting: orbit
player is awaiting instructions on how to proceed, coriolanus shows up with his battlecruiser squadron and announces that the time limit is up...player fights coriolanus and is forced to escape
scene 3
setting: space
after a short time since scene 2 player has joined a relief fleet from the great house...coriolanus shows up in a toron shuttle, titus had returned and given him dis-commendation for his actions...and his own mother had taken the step to shield his own house from censure by invoking a little known "dowager" clause in the event of what has happend to coriolanus ... and through that has banished him from his own house, his own family.
he arrives at the player fleet location looking for an honorable end in hopeless combat against the fleet...instead the player suggests that his previous actions were proper and that it is titus and coriolanus' own mother who's actions are dishonorable...and you would be willing to help him rectify the situation under the guise of the player's ship delivering another load of mcguffin that this new fleet has brought
coriolanus agrees
scene 4
setting: great hall of titus
player beams down with the new crates of mcguffin, titus is thankful, etc. but then the player states that he had brought something else too: coriolanus beams in, he tells titus that he has returned to reclaim what is his as a true klingon should and that already the troops of this other great house were beaming into the city
squads of friendly soldiers beam into the great hall, general combat ensues which sees titus and his mate fall
at the end of combat coriolanus says it is time to retake his own house, but the player gets the message that the ships and orbital forces of titus house are putting up resistance...the player tells his ship to call for the fleet and beam him up.
scene 5
setting: orbit
the player and the reinforcement fleet battle the orbital fortresses and fleet of titus that is lead by brutus and sicinius
at completion a communication is had from coriolanus which states that he has executed his dowager mother and claims regency over the colony as first house...the player asks coriolanus if he would pledge fealty to his own great house...coriolanus refuses and the player is given the option to end the mission by firing torpedoes on coriolanus' location or respecting his decision as a klingon

I'll be putting your mission in my list to review.
