Yay, another year, and another thread full of bad advice on how to complete the race. It's simple, hold down both mouse buttons, and hit shift when the race starts. Turn in the opposite direction to slow your momentum, also cut into the snowbanks to slow you down. No need to let up, jump, or perform a tactical somersault.

Lock boxes aren't gambling. Gambling includes a chance to win nothing. Just because you don't win what you want doesn't make it gambling.

There's no need to jump, roll, or do anything that stops you. Just hit sprint and go. When you hit a corner, turn in the opposite direction you are running. Use snow banks to slow you down. Finally, my prayers have been answered. I've been rocking the Vesta since the release of the T-5 (Aux cannon boat.) Can finally upgrade to a T-6.

What day is the dev panel? I can only attend Sunday. Also, to the Europeans complaining about the US con only giveaway. Frontier does the same thing with their "Elite" giveaways. No way to get the special paint jobs and decals unless you attend a con in the UK.

Yeah, doesn't help me. I rock an all Aux build with my Vesta. It doesn't win any dps prizes, but it gets the job done, and done quickly. As an aside, I'm really not sure why the Aux cannons are locked to the Vestas. Why not open them up to all Science ships? I mean, Auxiliary is the Science ship/captain's mojo. You'd still…

Well, with no T6 Vesta variant in the near future, they need to start opening up these Aux Cannons to other ships. I mean Cryptic would have my money now if they allowed the Eternal to equip Aux Cannons. Guess I'll have to wait for my T6 Vesta.

Think it's intended. They're trying to reproduce the effect Roddenberry used to soften the face of a cast members during close-ups in TOS. The only problem is that Roddenberry mainly used it on female cast members, I think it's over used in STO.

There is absolutely no need to bunny hop or roll in this race or the Fast and the Flurious, especially the latter. Both races can be easily won at full sprint. As has been said you need to learn how to counter your momentum.
