The main reason you get so much trash in games like this is so you have something to show for your time while killing stuff. If there was less junk, you'd just get less drops in general.
Captain Kirk might not be the best example since he commanded at least four different ships. Whatever ship he had before the Enterprise, the original Enterprise, the Enterprise-A, and the HMS Bounty (Star Trek III and IV). Besides, this is a game. If this were to hold more to the design of Star Trek we wouldn't be firing…
I started an upgrade yesterday and the timer does not show up in the space map. The game displays the item as if the upgrade process is complete and says "claim item" which does nothing. I have to transfer to a ground map to actually see how much time is left till completion. Also, I can not upgrade any of the MK XII…
Talking about the 5+ second for missions to actually complete when you log in. Used to be you could log in and they'd all be in the completion tab already. Makes me wonder why they were in such a hurry to release it if they knew they wouldn't be able to provide much support for it before switching over to the expansion.
Another update, I was watching my doff assignments complete after logging in, and watched "Investigate Rumors of Rich Dilithium Vein" show up in my completed list as a failure only to disappear a few seconds later. It doesn't show up in the Assignment Log and it's as if I never had the mission at all.
Throw your condescension out the airlock and try again. I asked for a quote where someone with authority within Cryptic has said that this is intended. You have thus far refused to provide any evidence of your claim.
And assignments are still slow to complete after maintenance. I'm starting to think we won't see any more major changes to the doffing system until the expansion launches.
Well, here's the patch notes for this week: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=18708581#post18708581 Worried about the slow doff/R&D completion not being a known issue.
I must have been very lucky the first time I did it yesterday, the collapsing particles still need to be tuned down somewhat. Also, how about giving us more variety in holographic enemies and not just klingons everywhere. And the cadets that follow you around could use some pathing improvements and speeding up whenever you…
Well, the only place I could really use AND is when trying to grind doffs with certain bad traits. For most other doff missions OR works OK since the game tries to put the best trait matches at the top of the list. The doff grinder doesn't care about traits so it throws them in a random order and you have to scroll around…
A small problem I've noticed with the doff filter, it doesn't allow you to narrow down by traits very well. Select say, "cunning" and "unscrupulous", and it shows all doffs that have at least one of those two traits when it should only show the doffs that both of the traits.
Turn Over Contraband: This one still appears to be filtering somewhat backwards, my Security Officers are usually near the bottom of the list. Also, the doff missions at the Academy should display their cooldown timers when not available. Actually, it would be nice to have a tab just to show missions that are on cooldown…
Hmm. I have a small pile of Mk VI beams and I'm seeing 4800 for VR, 4200 for Rare and 3600 for Uncommon. But the beams with [Over] modifier don't have a TP value. A VR Mk VI RCS Accelerator console is 1560 TP, an Uncommon Mk VI Plasma Infuser console is 1170 TP, an Uncommon Mk IV Resilient Shield is 960 TP and a VR Mk II…
Moving the Request More Duty Officers button made it more irritating to use. I didn't even notice it at first since it's way off by itself and no longer listed with the other tabs. And the minimized view should still show the same information as the standard view. Being able to see more missions at once is great, but you…
