You'll need to explain your reasoning on how using a doomsday device on a legitimate military target is *worse* than attempting to assassinate an entire race before they commit serious crimes, and alter the history of the past billions of years. Obviously both are acts of desperation and not good things to do, but I don't…
starswordc, while nothing you said was false, giving that story to the 23rd century Klingons would not have worked nearly as well. The Federation has been letting the Klingons off too easily. But these prisoners were not involved with the present-day crimes of the empire. The first priority when dealing with them was to…
Leeta has a point, all of the temporal liberation front subfactions have been varying degrees of ineffectual. The Sphere Builders have destroyed several universes offscreen, but that wasn't entirely intentional and they aren't much good in a straight fight. The Nakuhl may have never managed a successful temporal incursion.…
Okay, this has some disturbing implications. The simple explanation is that an enemy has slipped into the temporal agency and is sabotaging their efforts.
It looks like the rewards are on schedule. Personally, I'm more concerned about whether the admirality ship will remain unlockable for other characters, and after the week ends. It sounds like it should, but the explanation is a bit vague.
I'm surprised they haven't realized that there were more than 17 - that number came from a DS9 episode, and not all of Kirk's adventures would have been well-documented.
Let's not forget that the important thing here is that our money supports charity and anti-bullying. The most troubling thing here is not having too few t6 sets to go around, but that they didn't expect so many people to donate. I mean really, "bullying is bad and must be stopped" is just common sense isn't it? And with a…
I've appreciated every gift in this giveaway, and am even lucky enough to have characters capable of claiming all of today's ships. Thank you Cryptic, for starting the New Dawn on the right note.
This was a good mission, if frustrating in places. I thought that making us tell T'Ket to focus on revenge was a bad move on the writer's part. Upon seeing that nothing else would work, my idealistic characters would have just left her there to die in battle. On the other hand, having her react so strongly to one person's…
I don't see where this anti-Preserver sentiment is coming from. As the storyline is laid out currently, we didn't find them until after finishing up with the Borg Arc. (Which, admittedly, leaves the Defteri battlezone as a loose end with no beginning point.) They haven't been around more than a few months, while the…
The Iconians don't really understand distance or spatial relations. They overlooked the planet's gravity because, well, gravity controlling the movements of planets isn't something they've needed to think about (or even know about). Same for the meeting. The Heralds said there was no one there, and the Iconians could just…
My first character (federation scientist) would become an ambassador, specializing in new species. He'll turn official command over to his first officer, but tag along with her or my Delta Recruit whenever he has an excuse. My federation Felta Recruit would pick up where he left off in exploring strange new worlds and…
That was a reference to Enterprise and the Temporal Cold War arc. And the Iconians were conspicuously absent from any of the futures depicted there. That doesn't mean they last 200 years first - on the contrary, it could mean they all get wiped out in 5 minutes so that their impact has 200 years to be buried. Between that…
My suddenly-evil characters would use that Borg Temporal Node they got in the Specters arc to warp back to TOS era and start an empire with their t5/6 ship. Their First officer would naturally follow them back via light-speed breakaway in a hand me down t4/5 ship to stop them.
I agree with SFDebris' interpretation of the Prime Directive: That it was a vital law that turned into a fig leaf for moral cowardice when people began taking it for granted and not thinking about where and when it should apply. Interference can give a younger race something to aspire to, but it will also stunt a younger…
Well, Cryptic deserves credit for paying attention to the forum arguments and nitpicking, than addressing them in the plot. On a different note, I suspect that Gaius' involvement was shoehorned in as a chance to get rid of him. It's very unlikely that this was the original plan for his plot. On the other hand, I don't…
One problem with that. Most players (and probably npcs too) don't think she knows anything useful enough to keep her alive. Even my nicest character wouldn't consider it a big loss if she had been cut down in a crossfire. On the other hand, didn't Denise Crosby want to give Sela a redemption arc?
I really should reach the mission she reappears in on my romulan character and see how it's different. My Fed character didn't have any personal beef with her, since he was being tricked into retrieving S31 operatives instead of seeing her crimes when she was active.
I've been using it on my Federation main since I got it. Mainly because I refuse to spend zen on another t-6 ship. I think that line of thinking is why so many of them are flying around now. I switched back to my free t-5 science ship for the CE event, though. As for my alts, I haven't gotten around to using it on them.
Even if the missions are mostly the same, they can still add some interesting new things to them. What was it that Sela said, "They aren't waiting at the end of a long road. You need to take a single step, at the right time." or words to that effect. How many times in early missions has there been a suspicious asteroid…
Hm, well this might be worth a shot. I'm curious about what the plot changes they've come up with are. Grinding aside, Cryptic has really improved the writing quality of this game since I first signed up - Even the Delta quadrant arc was alright when the plot was present. It'll probably be worth making a new character just…
