Okay, this has some disturbing implications. The simple explanation is that an enemy has slipped into the temporal agency and is sabotaging their efforts.
It was three Ferengi that boarded the NX-01. One of which was turned by archer to betray the other two. . . If he decided that he needed to ensure his place on Enterprise he might have shot his previous self. Mucking his/her personal timeline. Now they need her to capture himself so he stops running around in the 22nd century.

I liked this story (I enjoy a good temporal paradox), but the lack of breaks between "time jumps" made it difficult to follow. I had to stop for a second and realize that time had passed from one paragraph to the next at certain parts, it kind of broke the flow (though maybe that was intentional, I don't know. All I can say is that interrupting the narrative to figure out what was going on didn't really work for me) The other story blogs have had clear breaks in them which made the flow of the story less confusing.

So...
Did she shoot herself and inserted herself in her own timestream?

Also, I'm pretty sure the person that "Thunked" her on the head was herself.
Also, this image came to mind.
Also a potential fan of Heinlein. Gender-swapping time travelling agents with amnesia is treading very close to his short story "-All You Zombies-"
