Some of your argument applies to c-store ships but not fleet ships. Ownership is the act, state, or right of possessing something. A lease is a contract by which one party conveys land, property, services, etc., to another for a specified time. But there is no specified time when buying c-store ships or fleet ships. You…
I am going to wrap this up. gavinruneblade I already covered your first point with post #21 Your second point is valid I never proposed raising the Dil cap corelogik Then it should be really easy to prove me wrong
How about used ships lose a console slot and dmg resistance is reduced by 10% and a lower shield modifier? I think the simplest solution is to sell the ships back to cryptic at 50% value
I think they should let us get partial value for our ships instead of upgrading current ones. I am suggesting that this would be a better system than what they are proposing 'You are just leasing the ship from Cryptic, you own nothing. Cryptic has the right to repossess/terminate the agreement whenever it wants. You have…
ooliteflight: presents idea corelogik: I think the system works fine as it is. Why add complexity where none is needed? ooliteflight: You should be able to resell your obsolete ships corelogik: I don't really see... You got your moneys worth... I just cannot fathom why people insist on treating in games assets as if they…
You are right about one thing, this thread is somewhat pointless as it has devolved into condescension. I simply threw the idea out there. Tell me what is wrong with the idea
You can resell movies and games can't you, at least for the most part. Yes I know that cds are 'real objects' but as I said STO is a virtual galaxy so why can't you resell 'real objects' in a virtual galaxy.
The main reason is that eventually your favorite ship will go obsolete and useless in a few years just as they should like in the real world but you should be able to sell it.
I think 500 zen is reasonable for fleet ships or ships worth 2500 zen and perhaps 1000 zen for ships worth 2000 zen. The benefits should include Scaling HP, Additional console slot, 4 mastery levels, AND an additional BO ability. The Starship trait and specialized BO seats should be t6 exclusive imho.
I would use universal consoles (that aid escape) from the exchange for your science console slots For front weapons I use 2x Breen Custer, 2x any plasma torpedo For aft weapons I use Nukara mines and a plasma torp. (I'm in a B'rel) When it comes to BO skills the best way to determine what to do is trial and error
My B'rel is my primary PvP ship and I have no issues staying alive in PvP or getting kills. However right now it is a slightly underpowered ship spec-wise. I think all it needs is a unique console, an impulse modifier increase (.22+) and maybe an ensign universal.
I fly a Fleet B'rel Retrofit (Transphasic torpedo boat) and I have absolutely no issues with it when it comes to damage or surviving so I don't know what you are talking about. Thats not to say the T'varo isn't OP compared to the B'rel but it definitely isn't as bad as you say Edit: Somehow I was quoting someone else
I recently went on tribble to test the flanking bonus and it works nicely (on NPCs). Also the Raider class is getting a 10% increase in hull. I think the raider class should have gotten a universal ensign bridge officer slot, an increased impulse modifier, and sensor analysis. I think that the B'rel's EBC should only come…
