The asking price is way too high. Period. For me, that is the end of the discussion. I don't care if it's a good value. It's out of my price range. For that price, I could buy a library of games on Steam. So, if the ships become available individually or in smaller packs (and once we know what the ships even are), then I…
I got my five commons from the Phoenix boxes and my 50 lobi from the R+D boxes. Thanks for the free stuff. Thank you for reminding me that these things are not worth actually buying. It's nice to get free stuff, and I hate to complain about it. It's just that so far this tenth anniversary is not as good as previous…
Trying to figure out the coded messages was fun. We had some good discussions over it in Discord. I have two issues with it, though. One, it was not made readily available to the players via this forum by Cryptic. (A hearty thank you to the players who did this for us, though.) Two, the secret voice belonged to ... Abraham…
Working as intended? I find using the forum through the launcher to be more cumbersome. The result is I don't get to visit the forum as often and sometimes it won't let me post.
As I understand it, Borg technology varies from ship to ship. This is because each ship, or cube, builds what they need out of salvage from ships and things they assimilate. Their technology is mostly the same, until you look really closely. Also, they had to assimilate Picard quickly, so he may not have gotten the full…
I'd suggest making a Federation character and playing through the tutorial. It does a decent job of showing you the basics. The early game is more forgiving. If need be, just think of it as a practice character. Once you learn the basics, you can start toward making the character of your dreams. Once you get started,…
Yes, they have botched it so far. Can they salvage it? We'll see, I guess. The decoded transmission is interesting, but only because other players have made it available for me to see. I think they should've been a little more open about that one.
At the end of the third transmission, we hear another voice say one syllable. I think it might be saying "James". So, the main voice is part of an experiment involving the Borg. Evidently he was not armed, and there is something repetitious about it, like a time loop. The main voice is trapped in all of this, so I maybe…
Thanks for the gift. I hope we get more freebies. That would certainly improve what we've seen for the tenth anniversary. I'd still say Cryptic could've done a better job building up to it, though.
A couple of people above talked about "regular players" and "farmers". I don't know what you mean by these terms, because I thought all regular players had to do at least some farming. Having a personal economy is part of an MMO. Either you pay real money or you farm, or both. Things like Tour the Galaxy, DOFFing and even…
I haven't read this whole thread, but, I just wanted to say that I do not want to see all bosses get tougher. Maybe some things need to be tweaked, or maybe a better way for an individual to select difficulty setting.
This. I wasn't waiting for the KAB. The Ross looks as good as any other Galaxy (to me), but if the stats are better, especially that turn rate, then the Ross may qualify as something I've been waiting for. I know, the game doesn't revolve around me, but no one else asked for these ships, either. So, what else are we…
Whether it's making the Phoenix boxes constantly available or making the omegas bound, the result is the same. The players who counted on selling Omegas to earn EC have just had their personal economy nerfed. This, in turn, has devalued the game for those players. This is not how to celebrate a ten year anniversary.
Of all the things this blog could've meant for the game, the result is that we get ... one ship. That's it? There must be more. And I don't mean the ship for the next event. Now, about the ship. The Romulans, Federation, Romulans, Klingons and the Romulans form an epic alliance. Did I mention the Romulans? Anyhow, a key…
This set is an awesome idea...but the execution is horrible. The price point makes the set not even worth thinking about getting. Seriously, for what you get, 6,000 is too much. 12,000? No. I will concede that the raider in this bundle may be the only lock box ship Picard actually served on, but I can think of many lock…
Same here. I like the above mentioned bug spray idea. I may try that. I hope this is cleared up in the next weekly patch. I want to get back to doing admiralty again with my characters that are stuck.
I love this idea, except for one word; singularity. I hate singularity cores. Personally, I like to play cruisers, so that's what I'd like to see. A cruiser (with a warp core) that looks Fed/Rom/KDF/Dominion could be really cool. Or, a version of that Ferengi Nagus ship that no one gets to own or even buy. It wouldn't have…
I feel your pain. Yeah, the rest of the world will simply tell you to be more careful in the future. I once had a glitch that cost me an insane amount of EC. I dragged the item to the "sell" window, and the game engine automatically listed the item, without letting me set a price. Long story short; I lost. One thing you…
RUN!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE IN HERE!!!! Oh, no...oh, no...they're coming for me, I don't have much time. Just, get as fare away as you can as fast as possible. I'll try to hold them off, I- *some time later* I'm sorry. Excuse my emotional outburst. I was confused. It's really quite pleasant here.…
When the Vizier first became available, it was as a free code, if you bought a specific miniature for that Star Trek miniatures game. Since I played both STO and this miniatures game, it was kind of like a buy one get one free deal. No brainer, I bought it. Since then, I almost never use the Vizier, because I simply own so…
Here's a thought. If they are going to do two-packs with no Romulan variant, maybe they can at least give us a Romulan skin for it. Accessible to Romulans only, of course.
The people at Cryptic know what they are doing. I would find it hard to believe that none of them graduated from some business school, or that none of them have any experience with the real stock market. They created this game and all of it's markets and currencies. They know how to influence the rates on the exchange.…
I like how it's a cross between the T'Liss and the Reliant. No Romulan ship in this bundle is disappointing. The KDF one, I've seen worse (looking) and I've seen better. There really hasn't been a KDF ship that's made me want to get it, just by looking at it. The trait does look good, but I don't usually buy ships for the…
This is a great idea! I'm surprised no one suggested this yet. In fact, I was surprised the devs didn't add this into the game when T6 reputations were introduced. Adding this would give me incentive to actually do the T6 reputations. I would also like to see these new weapons as drops in the mystery boxes you get for…
I'm surprised that the Chronos and the Cardassian FDC made the top five. They're both great ships, I own both of them, but wouldn't it make more sense to get something not in a three pack? Note that the Cardassian FDC comes in a four pack, four for the price of two. Both are good admiralty cards, too, with the ignore…
