Good points. I think that Arleigh Burke might be the best example of a real-life Admiral who had a ship (first of its class actually) named after him, while he was still alive. Burke, like Ross, was a war hero and late in life, had a ship named after him. I would like to add the USS McCoy and the ISS Spock to your list of…
I like the idea of the real Kahless coming back. Maybe through the aid of time travel? Kind of a Babylon 5/ Valen twist... "I am called Kahless and we have much work ahead of us."
According to at least one novel ("Engines of Destiny") Scotty survives until at least 2422! Unknown whether this novel is canon in Star Trek Online, however.
In real life, ships are named after living people. I'm sure Starfleet would continue this tradition. The aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush comes to mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._military_vessels_named_after_living_Americans
That is what I suggested earlier. In 23c, the Starfleet ships/stations assigned to the Donatu Sector could have one unique assignment badge, that they would wear, including Drozana Station crew.
We're talking 2233 here. It is quite possible that Robert April, may have commanded ships before the Enterprise. In fact non-canon sources establish this. I simply proposed this as a possible way to have included Robert April in the Kelvin timeline. Not shoe-horn him in like the comic did. It would have been a possible…
Every non-TOS example you have given, can be chalked up to lazy continuity or a blatant attempt to retcon the pre-established Star Trek universe. I am talking complete and total TOS/Roddenberry canon here. Scrap the Starfleet Command badge idea. Really, Drozana Station should be given its own unique assignment badge. You…
Thanks for the heads up, but that thread seems to be for Tailor and player-related costume issues. This thread is meant solely for NPC related costume issues. I have amended the title of the thread, to reflect this.
Commodore Jacob Ross in "Night of the Comet" is wearing a 25th century badge and a 25th century starship bridge is in the background. This mission takes place in the 23rd century (TOS-era). The starship background should be changed to a TOS Constitution-class bridge, akin to the backgrounds used with Captain Isaac Garrett,…
I must disagree with you. Every ship had its own assignment badge in TOS. The Enterprise badge was one of many assignment badges issued to a certain ship/crew. The Enterprise badge eventually was adopted as the primary Starfleet Delta. This was post TWOK however. The 2 instances you have mentioned on TOS, I chalk up to…
The crew of 23rd century Drozana Station are all wearing the 23c Enterprise assignment badge. This badge was solely used by the crew of the Enterprise, at this point in history. I would recommend changing the badges on the uniform costumes to the 23c Starfleet Command badge. This would be more appropriate for Starbase…
JJ-Trek screwed things up for the sake of making a "cool movie". What they should have done was have Robert April as the captain of the USS Kelvin, with George Kirk as his first officer.
I would like to see the Sydney-class (USS Jenolan, from the episode Relics) as a Lieutenant-level ship: I would like to see the Federation-class (USS Star Empire from the TOS novel Dreadnought!) as a T5 or T6:
I for one, consider Captain Robert April to be canon, so the Enterprise was closer to 40 years old. The comment by Admiral Morrow, was a goof by Harve Bennett, who wrote ST3. He probably never watched The Animated Series...
There is an older foundry mission called 'Not Our War' by Zondi. For anyone interested in foundry missions, set during the Dominion War, I think it's worth checking out...
While receiving a visit from Counselor Deanna Troi aboard the USS Mercury, Tom Paris' ship comes under surprise attack. The Mercury's helmsman is killed. Tom orders, "Deanna, take the helm. Get us out of orbit!" Deanna manages to to surprisingly outmaneuver the enemy in a very creative fashion. "Wow. Not bad counselor."…
Enjoyed this mission, for the most part. The story was simple and straight-forward. Fit with what had been established in DS9. However, there were some errors in details. Such as NPC uniforms and 24th century ships. I would recommend changing every character uniforms to the grey and black uniforms seen in Star TREK FIRST…
Nog - Enjoying himself in a holographic night club, Vic Fontaine is performing "Mack the Knife". Nog is tapping his hand on the table to the beat. Vic gets up very close to Nog, pulls a knife and slips it quickly between Nog's ribs, just as the song hits its climax. Nog falls from his seat shrieking. Vic in a very upbeat…
