Very bad, bad and sad decision. The Foundry is in fact the only thing that keep me attached to this buggy lame game. I wrote several missions, and enjoyed the Foundry and its community so much. Some of the best stories in the game are in the Foundry, and the runners of STO did all the possible to chunk it down season after…
I got the impression that that is not the key issue, futhermore I suspect this issue is caused by some change in the "gold missions" algorithm. Many of my friends authors as me had almost all their missions axed down to red, thus out of the Top 3 system. As of now, this is acting for me as a powerful dragging down factor…
A mission that spawns to mind for me is "Latinum can't buy me love", a nice, warm little mission that lift the heart. Have to play Some of the missions you mentioned, however I recommend wholeheartedly everything done by @johnnysnowball, and if you are in a TOS mood, everything done by @rickysmith1.
The truth is, at least for me, that "bad" reviews most of the time are just rushed whinings. "I can't find the insert point..." Written in plain sight on grant text. "There's no pew-pew". Stated in grant text that there is almost no combat. "Can't finish the mission due to your glitch" Was it his/her Internet connection,…
Try "The Mutara Nebula" by helixfungus (me). Picks up events from two classic ST movies, Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock. Mission starts with the player that has to decommission that old facility in TWOK in which they assembled the Genesis device. An incident causes a temporal rift, something exiting from it changes Fed…
At the moment there is the "ominous trigger bug" in the editor... I think you made the "Viper" episode before this s@#t. Nowadays is a little more complicated to see immediately how triggers works. The triggered objects remain in initial state. Period. You have to test with publishing to see how your triggers work...
About new bugs... a visual one? Did someone notice the TOS bridge now has all the black panels substituted with some sort of reddish hue? There's some of it even in TOS interiors.
Foundry bugs are becoming nastier over time. This prevents authors like me or matt to continue using it to convey fresh ideas and stories to it. This said, this particular issue I propose my solution (as I have a mission in which I use N. Khitomer) : add some floor slabs in the transporter area. It's a pity (to say the…
Thanks for your pass. I think I will work on almost all the issues you mentioned. I am aware of the grammar issues, unfortunately I can't do much about it, unless some proofread volunteer shows up (English isn't my mother tongue), and it's really difficult to get one. And I know because I tried several times to get aid on…
I always love the size of your ultradetailed maps... I know you have emailed me ingame for that little Vaadvaur touch - I am experiencing difficulties to get a successful login into STO account, so for what it's worth I can only advice to render more visible in some way the Vaadvaur arms dealer. I liked the investigation…
No. I think it's just a waste of my time really. But I could do it. Without prior warnings. And I really don't care about it. I do care about the fact that this thread is open and well visible to other Foundry authors that felt the 1 star ninja fetid stench in their review tabs...
to grandnagus: I just don't care really. It's this karma feeling that I like. to djxprime: there a workaround to avoid the name/shame blade. Example... @melixfungus, @Ashkrok22, @eastmetal... Have I mentioned any of the names in this thread...?
to Westmetals... Absolutely... there's no copyright on it, so you can use it after a fashion or straight as I gave it. To Greendragoon.. thanks, I appreciate your kind words. It's just that something CAN be done about it cheers me up. I wonder if just a warning "of consequences" at the end of mission could work. Something…
YEETCH... that's is exectly what I am experienging after the FOundry came online post S10....and virtually impossible to manage too, LOC command or not....
Let us know if you succeded in loading up yr mission... on another thread I read that there is a known bug that blocks publishing mission with the current ESD interior...
Tried your numbers, works pretty fiine pax, thanx! It will be so useful when it wll be possible to actually publish a mission with Taco's ESD interior ... there's an issue with the cargo deck though, I noticed that the farer you get from concourse balcony, the more essential it comes, like no ceiling on the ESD inner view…
Fair enough... it should be a Fed world in STO that also is a foundry sector door... it would be a pity doing as I do usually (entering a fictional transwarp hub) I wish a different approach this time.
