Gornar position

(Gornar like the homeworld of the Gorns) I am toying in my mind with a story centered on Gorn people.I wish to add an extra edge to it giving the starting point somewhere near their homeworld. What would be the nearest star system ? To me Regulus system could be close enough... other candidates ?

I also noted that they put Ferenginar into sector space... I tried to visit it but so far we can't go there.
Anyway there is a new space asset: an huge Ferengi space station... we could give it a go and do our custom made Ferenginar.

    hmmm... one map I have puts it south of Qonos near Cestus.

    But yeah, south of Klingon space.... off the map really.

    Is Cestus on the map ?

    It might be in Kassae block.... not sure. I think it's where Researcher Rescue happens.

    yes, it's in the south of the klingon empire, where the sto map ends. just looked here:

    Fair enough... it should be a Fed world in STO that also is a foundry sector door... it would be a pity doing as I do usually (entering a fictional transwarp hub) I wish a different approach this time.

    Side note...
    startrekmaps was fun to browse.. after a few clicks I discovered that the Cait homeworld is confining to Tholian space... brrrr...

    I did something with that for Catastrophe at Cait.
