I believe they are 'obsolete' in terms of granting access to sector blocks. However both of them grant sector travel speed boosts when you use slipstream or other engines that allow you to travel beyond Warp 10. But you have to have them 'given' to you by another player (like a buff). AFAIK just earning DI/RP yourself does…

Actually when I look at that page (which I did before posting) it does not state how much the power cost reduction is, how much it speeds firing up by and whether it has a 'cooldown/lockout' (eg. triggers max of once every x seconds). Does the trait (Emergency Weapon Cycle) have a cooldown or lockout time? Would it trigger every 30s in a dual EPtW build and last for each EPtW cycle?

My only question is whether to place a crafted omni in the front or the back. I use a 4/4 cruiser and have the ancient AP omni and KCB in the back essentially giving me 6 forward, 4 aft weapons (with 7 for broadsides due to having a torp up front).
