The Oddysey tac is the first cruiser that I found suits me fine. Even better with the 360 degree phaser I added recently The Mogh cruiser has the right mix of weapons, hull and maneuverability. It turns so well, I put 2 Dual heavy disruptor cannons up front. The Vastam warbird is the right balance I've been looking for between the Mogai/Valdore and the sluggish yet still fun Scimitar
Man I went through all kinds of ships. never felt like anything to be an enterprise. Most time in Alien Lockbox ships. Until the command cruisers.
Both Heal Team/Tank/DPS all at once. Gonna take one hell of a ship to get me out of the Kitbash Prisidio/Concorde I'm flying Fed side. Same on my KDF. Finally a ship that can do what I always wanted to do in this game. Great Support/DPS.
I have many ships , old and brand new , but i allways come back to the best designed ship in game , the Aventine class , she allsow has the perfect boff/console layout perfect for me , and a proper name : Santa Maria from one of Stradivari's best violins.
Since I already mentioned that the free T5 Sovereign cruiser is the "Enterprise" for my primary Fed toon, I figured I'll mention my other primary toons.
The "Enterprise" for my primary KDF tactical toon is the free T5 Hegh'ta Heavy BoP since I flew in that ship for the longest time before purchasing the T5 B'Rel BoP Retrofit back in December when it was discounted.
The "Enterprise" for my primary Rom science toon (Fed Aligned) is the free T5 Ambassador Support Cruiser I received during the 2014 Summer (???) 4 day giveaway event. Why? 'Cuz the 40 point power penalty of the singularity core is a huge nerf for Rom science toons. Rom Tactical and Engineering toons aren't affected so much since they can ignore aux power. Currently flying the Breen Carrier.
That means I need to purchase the Assault Cruiser Retrofit from the C-Store for 2,500 Zen and then use one of my remaining ship upgrade token from the DR Ops Pack to upgrade it to T5u.
Since the ship I have is the free one given at level 40, it is not possible to upgrade it to T5u. Besides, since I was able to play level 60 content with my MU Heavy Cruiser Retrofit with Mk XII gear, I am sure I will be able to handle level 60 content with the Sovereign cruiser that will hopefully have at least ultra rare Mk XIV gear. If not, then very rare Mk XIV gear will have to do.
You can't upgrade the mirror ships to T5U? I didn't know that. That sucks.
Not that I'm interested in one myself, but those who've unlocked mirror ships should get access to purchase a fleet version of it, and should be able to upgrade them to T5U.

Nope that's why Mirror ships are relatively inexpensive. In essence they are merely free T5 ships with different console layouts / Boff seating or refits of free lower tier ships.
I believe the only T5 starships that pop out of lock boxes which are not considered "grand prize starships", like the Galor and Temporal Science Vessel, which can be upgraded to T5u are the T5 APU Cruiser and the T5 Kazon Heavy Raider. They are recent additions to the game. These ships do not come with any special consoles like the "grand prize starships", therefore, they are pretty inexpensive on the Exchange.
My Klingon main, K'troQ, switches beween two ships - the IKS HughchopwI' (Throat-biter), a fleet Tor'Kaht, and the IKS HovleH (Starsword), a Ty'Gokor BC.
My main Fed, Abbas El-Amin, flies the USS Hajj, a tactical Odyssey.
My Romulan, Takaram Aelha Mirok, flies the Liorae s'Anarhai (Light of Dawn), a Haakona Warbird.
I find myself wanting to go back to my Steamrunner a lot. I haven't upgraded it yet, even though I have the EC to do so. Especially now that I haven't run a borg queue for some time (only one sci slot means picking between HE and ST).
Lately I have been enjoying my odyssey a good deal.
My main ship is the Odyssey Operations Cruiser. If I switch the ship I mostly use the Aquarius Destroyer. It's nice to fly a more agile ship from time to time and it fits also quite well to RP as it is "part" of the Odyssey Class.
Whats the ship you fly the most? Your kirk/picards enterprise, the ship you just got to have, im flying the fleet excelsior T5U at the moment with phasers, its a beast lol
What specific Phaser type are you using? Just curious.
Fleet Olympic is my mains starship. I'm still feeling out the necessity for use of the T5U tokens. I won't waste a token upon a single class of starship that only one character may use dominantly.

I've used the Intel ships, the Command ships, and pretty much everything else, and while I like using different ships on all of my alts, on my 'main' character I always go back to the best ship I can make look like a Sovereign. Currently a T5-U Fleet Assault Cruiser.
My main char flies a Fleet Galaxy Dreadnought upgraded to T5U. It may not be a DPS monster, but it certainly has staying power. Previous to that I was flying the Mobius Temporal Destroyer.
On a side note: I remember the day the Fleet Galaxy Dreadnought was released, at least half a dozen people in the fleet I'm part of all hit the shipyard for one. Luckily we had enough provisions for that, otherwise there would have been screaming and waiting for a provision project.
Play one character, FED Tac. Have several ships, but my U.S.S. Graf Spee (Excelsior, Fleet T5-U)
is without question "my" Enterprise. Mounts (6) Retro Phaser Banks, (1) Fwd Photon, and (1)
(Aft Mine Rack). I know "quaint". Only way I'll fly her. :P
the Victoria has always been a galaxy. currently a fleet T5-U Dreadnought Cruiser would perfer to use an exploration cruiser but the boff layout just can't

BCW.
It's your Enterprise - it can be as quaint as you want it to be

Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.

Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
I have a t5-u Fleet Excelsior and it's a tanky monster.
Free Tibet!

Yes, I fly a Dreadnought cruiser. Deal with it.

Either way, that sounds like a fun boat.
