check this out..!!!

http://mashable.com/2015/05/19/enterprise-building-star-trek/

And to really put this in context.. None of the Startrek series or movies to my latest knowledge..which might be a tad out of date... can be aired in China, or shown in theaters as Trek has one major attribute that is considered "counter revolutionary" (Ie; Bad!)

Trek has Time Travel... and time Travel is a nono as far as the party is concerned.. so, they don't officially watch star trek, and they don't play STO... and thats just the way it is...

(And they are quite serious about it...)

So it makes this particular image just a bit unusuall... and someone obviously has a great deal of Gurumba over there..!

This looks awesome. However I am going to be moving it over to Ten-Forward simply because it's not specific to STO. That being said, I've been seeing a lot of news about this. :D

I don't know whether you could watch them today.

But I remember back in early 2008 seeing Generations on TV in China. I was visiting the country with my girlfriend (now wife) and meeting her family. We were having lunch at my wife's brother's apartment (with his immediate family) and the TV was on and it was showing. I assume one of the standard channels and I also remember that the voices were changed. I can not remember whether they were dubbed to Chinese or in English but with similar but different lines (I just remember Worf did not sound like Worf).

Didn't watch the whole thing and I don't think they were either, probably looking through what was on and happened to end up on that channel when we arrived.

I think the article said it's an officially licensed building.

Man, that's a great homage if you've got the cash.

I don't know, but lets find out. Fetch me the largest jet engine you can find and a roll of duct tape.

Geko pointed out something interesting on twitter.... It's most similar to the Chimera-class.

Make it several rolls--it's a sizable building.

Weren't they going to build one in Vegas at one time? They could have a hotel/casino and reopen the Star Trek Experience. We can only dream.

oh that is very cool, and very surprising.. that a game company (director/owner) with that level of passion, spends that kind of money, on a homage to Trek, and they don't even produce a Trek game.. kinda makes you think doesn't it?
