The emotes are stupid. They're completely immersion destroying, and that's saying something given the lack of care towards Star Trek immersion that is already present.
The change sucks, but once the people in charge make a decision that seems to be it. Anyone who thinks these "talks" will accomplish anything whatsoever hasn't been following the game for very long. The game will never be the wonderful casual friendly game it once was. I expect to see continued movement towards player…
Why should anyone care? It will just be followed with the T7 JHSS, and then the T8 JHSS. More expansions will serve to simply invalidate old content so the same thing can continue to be sold or offered as gambling prizes again and again. Tacofangs was right when he said we should view the items sold by this company as…
I'd like to see effective and accurate communication in STO's future. I think reconsidering how the Community Manager system works would be a good start. Community Managers should be informed, frequently interacting with the community, and responsible for maintaining clear lines of communication. Yet, I find Reddit is the…
I really don't understand the player base. XP was nerfed. Kills award, proportionately, less xp. DOFFing rewards less xp. The only communication on the issue is unpleasant and principally ignores it. Why doesn't this bother people? Is it just that the folks bothered by such things have largely already left? Is it that the…
This could be a great opportunity to rebalance some of the existing pets. Geko, it would be wonderful if the team could take a little bit of time to try and even out the playing field with certain pets. Elite Federation Shuttles, Caitian Stalkers, and certain other pets are rarely if ever used. I fly: Elite Jem'Hadar…
I'm confident that you are not alone in feeling insulted about recent issues in Star Trek Online. I, for example, find the lack of worthwhile communication about recent changes to be exceptionally insulting.
The videos are long, the narration is unplanned, and they amount to watching someone "umm" and "uhh" their way through content. If you really want to make a useful resource then plan out what you're doing, use a video editor, and practice speaking for an audience.
My tickets are viewable, but in a sense it is broken in that there is no one to read or answer them. Many players have tickets that are months or years old. I'm in the same situation with the Intrepid Retrofit but I didn't even try posting another ticket to add to my two current ones about other issues. No one cares on the…
Upon reading more threads, this looks great. A reasonable compromise all around. Thanks, I'll be buying a package in reflection of my appreciation for your keeping so many ships quite competitive.
I'm looking forward to seeing what "competitive" means, exactly. I have an extremely large number of ships from years of dedicated play, including the top ships in the game, and if I feel like my best option is to fly T6 ships and not T5, even if T5 is still a decent option, then my interest in the game will come to an…
I just invested the incredible amount of resources in purchased C-Store points to acquire this trait and have also learned that it is broken. Please repair it promptly. I am disinclined to purchase additional areas of crafting while the first thing I strove for does not function.
I dig the new doff recommendations. On the whole I spend less time making assignments in the new system. The new uniforms are wonderful. The Xindi lockbox had a lot of fun additions. I like the idea of trying to make older STFs relevant through the crafting rewards system.
Good ideas! I also wouldn't mind seeing the crafting system tied into Bridge Officer skills so that we can craft, say, a skill book that teaches Torpedo Spread 3. Which really just augments the point that that should be a part of the current crafting system.
If the company's goal is to sell items to allow me to more easily craft end-game items, then I don't understand why the company is further pushing out the time it takes to reach this point. It seems counter to everyone's interests to so substantially delay players from reaching a higher rank in a single school. In fact,…
The exploration clusters have always served as a wonderful tool for those that enjoy roleplaying or getting into the 'Trek mindset, as they allow us to explore new systems not knowing precisely what we will be facing. I have very fond memories of doing this, and still consider them to be a draw and one way I can…
Thanks for making it easier to convert old materials into new ones. It would be nice if I could queue multiple crafts of the base components, as sitting here for extended periods just making other needed materials isn't very fun and doesn't encourage me to continue playing.
