  • Sure the science is wrong, but if it would be consistent it would be a little better. No sound in space, no turning at warp, no combat at warp for that matter, and give up on this no money idea - no highly advanced civilizations return to the barter system (even if GR thought so). For this mission I was really only like…
  • Dang it, who did the consoles out of order and shut down the servers?
  • Really good mission again, and thank god its single player so I can enjoy the story.
  • Live is obviously a subjective term much like their idea of a thank you event...
  • Why would the FED/KDF/ROM build in an alien bridge? I hope we can swap that thing out or I will never be visiting my bridge again. I like the idea of this switching mode, not crazy about how we have to switch modes to get the ship; swell anniversary thank you - now if you could reach down and grab your.... Its like sending…
  • They are not supposed to try and make money on an "thank you" otherwise it isn't one, period.
  • For the 4th anniversary we get a great big "prison shower" style thank you..
  • OK not crazy about the grind idea again. I don't agree with others about how bad this is, we get a 400 part head start after all and maybe I don't understand why someone feels the need to "grind" this on every toon. It's a sci ship for the most part and my tac is pleased with their breen ship already that I had to "grind"…
  • I just wanted to add a more general comment; I really enjoyed hearing about the process and not just "here is a cool new ship". Those are always welcome to, but its interesting to here the challenges. I am curious however on some points, like how long does it take to get art/concepts approved? Is it just the STO team, how…
  • Well there is a fair amount of mark X gear for new players including sets like the gem, breen, etc available. I agree that it makes little sense in the rep system, the new way is far better. What we need is a little retrofit on the old reps given the MACO/OMEGA gear is still some of the best for many players.
  • At least this will cut down on the number of people in the Voth zones, seems like everyone came back in droves for some Lobi and now are just waiting around...
  • I noticed that myself; the Voth beams look like the current AP one but the text all states proton everywhere. So the question still stands, will it improve the current AP weapons or not?
  • Exactly. Also why someone in command of a tiny little science vessel like Voyage should still be called captain but not have that actual very high rank - but they threw that s*** out the window with Janeway while shafting Sisko... Lets get these servers up :D
  • That would explain the size of the doors - we are giants!
  • I know how this all works, the game was created for people who pay money to support it; its simple. I have been playing since beta, first as a paid and now as a f2p. None of my toons have paid for a c-store ship. Granted they have given us several for free over the years like they are right now and I suspect they will…
  • The fact that you are quoting bill maher discredits your post.
  • I believe the point of this season is that they are stealing Omega in an attempt to learn its secrets so that they can, not that they can already - but as there is so little story this time around maybe I missed that. As for the borg, if I recall their nano technology is powered by it - somehow they can't replicate…
  • I am not trying to be a jerk but that is the dumbest thing I have read all week. Why would a company spend massive amounts of money to create a game for players who don't pay? I mean how do you think all the devs and staff at Cryptic pay rent or eat? The episodes are the story of the game, they take maybe 20-30 min each…
  • From an episode of Voyager. It was a good story about science vs doctrine expressed in the beliefs of the Voth. Yes they evolved with/from dino's P.S. I don't recall if we found out that they had space technology or perhaps if it was done by the preservers
  • Actually there is a option for just that type of play, where you can turn in a large amount of the gameplay tokes for 5 of the "daily" tokens - If I read that right. Specifically the devs said they wanted to address the casual player who only played on weekends
  • I understand that but it was frustrating when people would get the same drop for gear they already had, building a set shouldn't be like the lockbox lotto. Now a toke drop that could be turned in for the piece a player is missing would work and has been done in other MMOs. Still most players prefer this system, one that…
  • Well during this era the got rid of the comadore rank or fleet captain rank as well. Much like the current navy battle groups have RAs in command now. I do agree that canon ships are why a lot of people play, and the power creep has hurt some of those. They need a little buff or perhaps they should not have appeared at T4…
  • I think you are correct, given the Lexington had commodore Wesley in command it would have been the flagship (at least for some point in time). Also given Kirk broke regs far too often for the brass back home they may have had issues with this...
  • As I recall Kirk's Enterprise was well over 20 years old when he took command. Including a refit it flew as the flagship of the fleet for another 20 years. I would not be surprised in less famous conny were the same plus another couple of decades on non front line duty. Aircraft or not a good example, not that there are…
