OK not crazy about the grind idea again. Well there is a fair amount of mark X gear for new players including sets like the gem, breen, etc available. I agree that it makes little sense in the rep system, the new way is far better. What we need is a little retrofit on the old reps given the MACO/OMEGA gear is still some of the best for many players.

I noticed that myself; the Voth beams look like the current AP one but the text all states proton everywhere. So the question still stands, will it improve the current AP weapons or not?

Exactly. Also why someone in command of a tiny little science vessel like Voyage should still be called captain but not have that actual very high rank - but they threw that s*** out the window with Janeway while shafting Sisko... Lets get these servers up :D

Actually there is a option for just that type of play, where you can turn in a large amount of the gameplay tokes for 5 of the "daily" tokens - If I read that right. Specifically the devs said they wanted to address the casual player who only played on weekends

Well during this era the got rid of the comadore rank or fleet captain rank as well. Much like the current navy battle groups have RAs in command now. I think you are correct, given the Lexington had commodore Wesley in command it would have been the flagship (at least for some point in time). Also given Kirk broke regs far too often for the brass back home they may have had issues with this...
