THIS IS ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!! (unless you forgot what happened with the Excelsior) but better to start talking about it now than weeks from now.
Also keep in mind this ship has been in development for some time (pre-dates the new KDF ships being worked on)
Ok... here it is
Nebula
A StarCruiser variant (Its not a Retrofit. It utilizes the StarCruiser Skill).
Requires:
Rear Admiral
Weapons:
4 Fore
4 Aft
Boff seats (4 Boffs, 11 Powers):
1 Lt Tact
1 Cm Eng
1 LC Science
1 Lt Universal
Mods:
4 Eng
3 Sci
2 Tact
3 Device Slots
750 Crew
Unique Ability:
Tachyon Detection Grid: PBAoE buff that increases your, and allies w/in 10k, Starship Sensor Stat and Cloak Detection. Each buffed ally in turn will buff more allies within 10k of them - thus extending the grid.
Turn Rate = Galaxy
Any other stats not mentioned are the same as a Star Cruiser.
Screenshots attached - the second is one of the mission pod swap out configuration options
1. Klingon players will NOT be happy with a universal BOff slot. That's the main selling point of the BoP, and with two cloaking Fed ships expect some outrage there.
2. Tachyon Detection Grid seems like a Science-type power, and we're short on Science ships, heavy on Cruisers. Might want to consider retooling the Nebula into a Deep Space Science Vessel offshoot.
3. This ship has a combat-focused special ability, the standard 9 consoles, versatility of BO slots thanks to breaking up the LtC BO position from the Com one. Kinda seems like there needs to be a bigger disadvantage than Battle Cruiser-style device slots (especially when devices aren't such a boon) and 50 fewer crew than an Assault Cruiser.
So there's going to be two Nebula's right? Probably a T3 and T5 refit, like the Excelsior?
So how about the reverse of the Excelsior compromise this time around, and instead of a free T3 ship and a T5 ship in the C-Store, we get a free T5 refit and the T3 hits the store? That seems equitable.

Listen to this man errr robot. Except for point 3, no nerf please.

A T4 for energy credits probably, then the T5 for who knows what. Someone will dig up a link for source.
As a regular eng/cruiser player, I'm afraid I have to agree that I'd like to see the Nebula as a science ship instead. We got the Excelsior, let's spread the wealth to the scientists.
On a purely cosmetic note, I hope we get to see the "fat" and "thin" deflector/engineering hull variations from the shows.
I would be very much suprised but elated if a new ship design appeared in game instead of for 1200 c-store points, the way this game is going with c-store they will continue to exploit it regardless of how many subscriptions they lose due to c-store exploitation. Eventually they will have to realise that it only brings them bad press and turns players off ever playing another cryptic designed game.

Personally, I would like to see ALL of the Klingon ships utilize universal slots. Klingons are not as likely to be scanning random anomolies, and charting stars, as the Federation, so having a science officer-heavy Klingon ship is pretty ridiculous. I am hoping that the Excelsior and Nebula represent a beginning where all of the ship BOFF slots are looked at and reworked, some.

Nice, but.....
1) seems off that cruiser is getting the majority of all the 'new' ships in-game. And albeit the saucer and mentions of this ship are cruiser in nature i cant help but feel selfish as a Cruiser Captain.
2) IF it is going to be based off the Star Cruiser ship skill, THEN it should have all the inherent turn and inertia values of a Star Cruiser.......otherwise, make it an Exploration variant with a 'true' Tier 5 edition like the excelsior!!!!!!!!!!
3) IT IS ABOUT time we see some use of the universal BO. Keep it tied to slot-tiers but at least give every 'new' RA / VA a BO universal LT.
4) Lastly, a ship such as this with its nice fleet power should have it tied to the "mission-pod", so you can have a "mission-pod" for torpedo's[ 1 fore & aft facing torp tube]. THIS way you live up to cannon/fannon expectations of players and also offer them the choice to take the pod with the power or the pod with an extra torp tube.
Q: will there be a Mirror Universe Skin eventually for it?
Just my view on it all.....

If the station assignements are what the station assignemnt are then what difference does its class make?
other than the power levels bonuses, any Profession can choose any ship class. Stick it where it makes the most sense.

Available in-game for emblems? C-store only?
Looks pretty though.
ship looks good
where are the escorts?!
C-store purchase?

but im not diggin the nacelles on your "work in progress" pic...just fyi
Since apparently the justification for not making the T5 Excelsior available for emblems was "it's a RA ship, and you can't get emblems until VA"...

Another ship I won't use - maybe have marks trade-able or available for energy credits?

rather have a definite answer tho.
NEVERMIND: says Requires Rear Admiral.
that could mean anything
Actually that's my Champions Online main. He's power armour/might with a touch of force and gadgetry... so he's sort of a man in a robotic suit...:D
The Excelsior said the same thing, so go figure.

lmao...dont make me post against you again...last time i got an infraction...lol
(at least this one has the LCdr Sci slot... )

I think that when it was first announced that the Excelsior and Nebula were being created, they were both announced to be C-Store ships.
