Reward Details: Coalition Repulsor Armor
Completion of this Event will grant you this new armor, based on that worn by Rae'Yeet and his Coalition Compatriots. This advanced Coalition Armor is designed as the staple of protection in facing the Terran Empire. It grants an assortment of defenses, with a primary focus against Phaser damage. It also is an excellent choice when facing environmental hazards, as it gives defenses against Cold, Fire and Toxic. It's construction also offers accelerated ground movement. Many seek out this coveted Coalition Armor due to its special Repulsor Burst capability. Upon activation of the armor, its wearer can send a foe backwards while delivering Kinetic damage on a frequent basis.
Let's discuss what we know about this upcoming reward.
The resistance against hazards like cold, fire and toxic is all right IMO, unremarkable though.
The Phaser resist is unsurprising, but how often will we face off against terrans once this storyline is finished.
The biggest problem i see is that the repulsor does kinetic damage and is therefor largely resisted by shielded enemies + pushing enemies away is unwanted if you intend to use melee weapons or short ranged weapons like shotguns.
Ideas/opinion?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Comments
We just got a good set (even though I hate the pink special dragonball effects) so this single armor feels abit underwhelming but it might be the missing chest piece for the current set. So saves us about 17.500 zen because the other matching chest piece is in the terran anniversary bundle.
The kinetic damage is not really something, the apparently singular hit that comes with a dot (frequent damage) is not indicating any strong ability and the push back is usually undesired and will be like the temer raider experimental weapon that pushed enemies far out of weapons range.
Overall uninteresting.
That being said, you still don't need it - plenty of other armors, with far better stats and/or set synergies, have large amounts of phaser resists.
#LegalizeAwoo
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Let me at it.
Also guys... one minor point about the kinetic damage... Borg don't adapt to Kinetic, so that repulsor blast might be somewhat useful against more melee oriented enemies. Just because its geared more towards fighting the Terrans lore wise doesn't mean we can't find other uses for its capabilities.
It depends on the range of the repulsor and the effect.
Difficult to get the balance correct. Either borderline OP or useless. It will be interesting to see the stats of the set as well.
Not over the moon, but that's because of the repulsor effect which pushes foes outside of melee range while the coalition has melee loving klingons/andorians.
I think this is it, really.
Stats may or may not be as good as something else, but people will want the costume unlock.
Heck, I would be interested in the costume unlock and I don't have any intention of using it. I just like to have the option because one day, who knows?
Also there is the whole "part of a campaign" thing, so this could be rank junk and people would still participate for the bigger prize.
I am more curious about this line...
The third in a series of upcoming events? Say what?
Is this just more copy/paste confusion or did I somehow miss out on something?
There are only pictures of the costume, not of the armor itself. That and a short description which i added to the OP.
We're in the middle of an Event Campaign where we can earn progress towards either, I wanna say 2 Free T6 C-Store coupons, 1000 Lobi, or a lockbox/promo ship of our choice.
And if I recall, we've had two participating events already in the Campaign. They're not having every event that comes up be part of the Campaign. They're spreading it out a bit over the year. And if you just do the minimum, it will take about 5 events to claim the prize. You put in more effort, you can effectively knock out one whole event to get your prize around the start of Event 4.
This is I believe the second Event Campaign we've had now? Yea I think second.Last one I got the Mirror Warship for my DSC Character. The only stipulation on the Lockbox/Promo choice box is that only ships from up to this last December are going to be selectable. Anything after that will not, so the California class is not an option for this Campaign, but will be in the next.
Yes, the previous two Events in this Event Campaign were Borg Resurgence (February 17th, 2022 - March 10th, 2022) and Reflections of Empire (March 17th, 2022 - April 7th, 2022).

My philosophy is the same one from the AVP movie: Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
Besides... this one comes with a costume unlock. Which as the costume fiend that I am, is the primary draw for me.
Thank you for the answers.
There was another post where Baddmoonrizin gave me the answers I needed, but the thing is that this is the third part.
And as I said there, once you get to the third part the larger thing is no longer upcoming, it is ongoing.
This is the third part in a series of ONGOING events etc. The only post that could have mentioned upcoming was the one for the Borg Resurgence, and at the first second that that went active it was no longer an upcoming event campaign but an ongoing event campaign.
But once that was clarified for me, after looking at the event window in-game it came into focus.
Yeah, the third part, and there are the other two on the bottom and then two more after this next one.
Of course, I missed Borg Resurgence (wasn't playing at the time) and Reflections of Empire (couldn't care less about a holo Mirror Janeway BOFF) but if a buyout still nets me the grand prize then I may go that route once I see the remaining campaigns and can commit to finishing those.
And the grand prize is also another selling point for this event, I suppose. Love the armor and/or costume unlock or not, if you want that grand prize goodness then you'll grin and bare it I guess, or at least buy it out.
Thanks again for the answers and see you all in-game, maybe.
At this time no pictures of the armor have been released.
Considering that it is based upon the armor worn by the andorian reistance fighter of whom i cannot remember the name, the closest picture currently available is probably this one:

That chest armor is the same that you unlock from the terran task force reputation.
The coalition coat, collar, & badge are probably the only new costume unlocks we'll get.
The official pictures are already on the announcement blog. The Mirror Coaltion Uniform is the only costume unlock for this Event.

I can play that, too. Watch...
What's this?
^ THAT'S your costume unlock.
Who said anything about it not being new? What does it look like? The armor? I suppose, if this has anything to do you with it...
...then it looks exactly like the Terran Reputation armor, hence why there's no new visuals for it.
