Shall we leave the heated discussion behind us?
What we know is that there will be a costume unlock with the visuals posted in the blog.
What we also know is that there will be a coalition repulsor armor either with or without new visuals.

If it happens that the new armor does not have new visuals then that would be a shame imo, but if it DOES have new visuals then i hope pictures will be released shortly.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Not every event armor that comes out has visuals. The previous one I can think of, the 4 piece klingon set with the drones didn't come with any visuals or costume unlocks.

This one unlocks the Coalition Uniform. Will it have any associated visuals like a vanity shield? Don't know. Maybe maybe not. But we do have armor in game that doesn't come with visuals.

I have a feeling that the costume unlock is the main thing for this. Most of the Coalition forces we see are wearing that uniform, not the full armor that our Andorian friend wears. So... in theory... it does have a visual, its just a costume unlock.

Of course, I missed Borg Resurgence (wasn't playing at the time) and Reflections of Empire (couldn't care less about a holo Mirror Janeway BOFF) but if a buyout still nets me the grand prize then I may go that route once I see the remaining campaigns and can commit to finishing those.
And the grand prize is also another selling point for this event, I suppose. Love the armor and/or costume unlock or not, if you want that grand prize goodness then you'll grin and bare it I guess, or at least buy it out.

In order to get the campaign grand prize, you need 3500 progress (or 70 days, it gives 50 points per day).

Each participating event is 21 days, so if you are currently at zero, and do every day of all three remaining events, you would come up short (63/70).

(If you started at the beginning of event #1, you could finish for free after the first week of event #4, and if you started with event #2, you could finish for free after the first week of event #5. Or, as designed, if you ONLY do enough days of each event to win its event reward (14), you would need to complete all five events.)

However, if you buy out one (or more) of the participating events, the buy out(s) includes the equivalent number of days of campaign progress... and you can still earn normally from that event(s) as well.

Theoretically you could earn the campaign grand prize in only two events, if you bought out both of them on day one.

There isn't a direct buy out option for the campaign itself.

Yeah, I think I have that stuff figured out, or at least figured out enough.

What was really tripping me up was literally the part where it said third in a series of upcoming events.

Because that doesn't make sense. It can't be both of those at the same time.
The third part can be upcoming, but the series can not be upcoming if they are talking about the third part.

Now that I have seen it laid out I see which part was wrong. My brain is working again.

    Mostly, anyway.

    I think.

Since Cryptic is apparently capable of knowing we are playing other games than STO thanks to some data of questionable origin, I'd be curious to know if they keep track of how many runs of Pahvo, both space and ground, would a player have had to do so far if they decided to do all events (even just to acquire the rewards and not the dil) involving it since its creation.

So they basically reused the enviro jacket type from the winter event and reskinned it.

Edit: Don't tell me the thread died just because I pointed out how it uses the same model as something else.

I could care less about the armor. I do care about advancing the event grind

The uniform is nice looking, I have ideas where I can update the looks of some of my characters, and there are some good possibilities for new characters using parts of or all of it for their outfits.

At this point i'm also leaning towards that.
The TFO's for this event aren't really working for me.

Only one which is mildly interesting is the elite version on ground and that one almost doesn't pop.

When you claim the armor it has an infinity mark.

Just right click the armor and press upgrade and it will convert to a Mk XII without cost. After that you can reclaim the armor, upgrade reclaimed armor for free and reclaim again.

Unless something has changed during the last week it still works because i have two or three boffs equipped with that armor on one character.

Edit: Did a quick test. The upgrade trick works, but you have to move the upgraded armor to a boff first. After that you can reclaim and repeat the process.

Tested On PC, Delta recruit Orion Science character.

On which platform are you trying to reclaim?
