why is the paradox not in the list? it is very clearly called a TEMPORAL dreadnought, yet it doesn't already have full temporal spec
also...as these ships are being modified, will their consoles also be getting their equip restrictions removed like most consoles recently have been out the door?

What about the Paradox-class? I know, she already has a Lt. Tactical-Command seat and a LtCdr. Universal-Intelligence seat. She is however a timeship and classified as a Temporal Dreadnought (not to be confused with the mentioned Temporal Heavy Dreadnoughts of the Universe-, Valkis- and Durgath-classes).
The Valkis really should be capable of equipping droneships, given the stated droneship restrictions. Sneak that onto the list of future minor mechanical changes!
So will the 'new' temporal ships be able to equip the "Cloaking Device" console a number of other ships can?
It would make sense, since they are from the future and would probably have the ability to hide themselves (if they want to fill a console slot with the device). This is would be especially true for ROMULAN time ships.

It's only T6 for the Temporal Change, because T5s don't have specializations.
The change from Flight Deck Cruisers to Flight Deck Carriers is even for the Daciot which is a Tier 3 ship.
They actually updated a bunch of T5 ships, but temporal ones, no. Simply because no T5 ship has a specialization.
That makes sense. Devalues the T5s T5Us even further, but with the new "Fly T6 at Level One" update, I guess any non-T6 ship is pretty much useless now. (Except for the ones with useful consoles, of course.)
Strike Wing Escorts sound cheesy. Why not let them all be Heavy Escorts?
I think I agree.
Why not FlightDeck Escorts?
Also isn't flight deck carrier just a tad redundant? Are we able to think up a better name for them? Probably keep the new carrier part of the name, and ditch flight deck from these ships and find a replacement word of some sort to put there instead.
Fantastic news where the Temporal ships are concerned - it never made sense that ships such as the Verne, from the 29th century, didn't have the Temporal Operative spec - I mean, they're timeships! Am really pleased to see them address this!
Not just timeships. The Wells was the OG ship specifically dedicated to temporal shenanigans in canon that appeared playable in the game.
That the T5 version didn't have the temporal mechanics was normal because they didn't exist back then, but the T6 version not having it at its time of release was ridiculous.
The Orions are the real winners here, because every one of their ships got buffed, from T3, T4, T5, T5 Retrofit, T5U, T6. And I have ALL OF THEM, every Orion ship and Elite versions of every Orion Pet. See the problem with Orion ships is each came with a unique hangar bay pet + Orion Slavers as an option, but Orion ships could only ever use 1 of them at a time which is frustrating. Seriously there are Orion Armoured Maruading Assault Shuttles, Orion Interceptors Fighters, Orion Taychon Drones, Orion Slavers, and Orion Cutpurse Fighters.
Now I can use say Elite Cutpurse Fighters AND Elite Inceptors on my Blsckguard, or Elite Marauding Shuttles AND Elite Orion Slavers on my Dacoit, Elite Orion Taychon Drones and say Cardassian Yukawa Frigates on my Retrofit Fleet Corsair.
I own the Daciot, the Corsair, the Retrofit Corsair, the Fleet Retrofit Corsair, the Marauder, the Blackguard, and best of all the Fleet Blackguard, heck I also known the what is now the Cardasaian Intel Flight Deck Carrier Ghemor Class, so this change is HUGE for me it buffs 8 of my ships in a way that is fun and awesome.
I am curious if Flight Deck Raptors will be effected at all, if not that actually makes them more unique beyond their ability to cloak. I own those too. This seems pure win for me.
I like these changes & clarifications. For the 6 Temporal ships it is pretty straight forward. Nice upgrade for these ships. I still wish the Rom & KDF versions had cloak lol. As already stated though no mention of that Paradox ship???
The Flight-Deck Cruisers & Carriers seem a bit more complicated & could affect, negatively, how players had previously chosen their certain Skill path prior to this change but I still like this change & clarifying.
The Strike Wing Escorts is simply a relabeling so straight forward again for better clarification. Sadly I don't have any of those ships so no effect on me though I want that Hur'q Ravager & I fear it will increase in price even more now lol.
The last patch notes were pretty good & those were right before Cryptic's shindig in Vegas & now this is pretty good too, imo. Nicely done, Cryptic. Now please release some synopsis of your Las Vegas trip maybe?
What do you mean 'devalues' them. T5s would never have a Specialization anyway? That is a fact from Delta Rising many yahren ago.
They did update lower class ships with regards to Hangers, because lower class ships have... hangers.

That could just be an error that the paradox is not mentioned.

Good catch, the Wellsshould be added to that list, itsan important one too because it's canon .
Nice updates to my Cardie and Orion FDCs!
However, the distinction between "carriers" and "flight-deck carriers" seems a bit weird, given that the renaming is supposed to clarify what type of ships they are. Why not something simple, like "engineering carriers", similar to how there are "science dreadnoughts"?
For anyone looking for a link that actually works, Click Me!
Now.. most of these changes seem pretty good, there is only one thing dissapointing to me..
There are some other ships that do not entirely fit in existing ship classifications, such as the Obelisk Carrier, the Command Battlecruisers..
The Command Battlecruisers should be part of this change in my opinion. They're already obsolete and left in the dust, adding a second hangar bay to something like the Presidio could give it a new life and help it fit better with the current generation of ships. It's a shame to not see these changes applied to these ships.. they could really use something to breathe some life back into them.
They could call the mainline carriers like Obelisk and the Orion peanut just "carriers", the heavy mixed cruiser/dread carriers "strike carriers", the escorts with a flight deck "escort carriers". Science oriented carriers could be called "support carriers".
No it doesn't. Specialist seating is not required to make a good build. It's only another flavour.

Strike Wing Escorts sound cheesy. Why not let them all be Heavy Escorts?
i'm happy to see my ships losing the carrier stuff, personally I don't use pets or I forget that I can use them. so for me, this modification is great:
and their Quick Deployment ship mastery is being changed to be Enhanced Weapon Systems.

Is this important? Have I missed something?

8 weapons, 1 hangar = Flight-Deck Dreadnought

7 weapons, 1 exp. weapon, no hangar = Heavy Escort
7 weapons, 1 exp. weapon, 1 hangar = Flight-Deck Escort
7 weapons, 1 exp. weapon, 2 hangars = Escort Carrier
6 weapons, secondary deflector, no hangar = Science Dreadnought
6 weapons, secondary deflector, 1 hangar = Flight-Deck Science Vessel
6 weapons, secondary deflector, 2 hangars = Science Carrier
...or something like that. Flight-Deck Carrier sounds a lot like Science-Deck Research Vessel.
