My bet is on R&D promo, since the bog standard Crossfield is in lockboxes (and remains the only hero ship not available in the C-Store).
Well....the T6 Connie was also lockbox. I think R&D? As was both Kelvin (JJverse) ships, Enterprise and the intel dread.
But I agree that the mirror Crossfield will likely be a gamble ship. I would love to see it as Cstore, but agree that is unlikely.

While the Mirror Escort Carrier apparently unlocks Mirror skins for Discovery era ships...
This feels like a teaser for a new ship. Mirror Crossfield might be interesting, and almost sounds like it might either be a Temporal or Miracle Worker ship. Or at least have the BOff seating for it. And the talk of a Mycelial weapon... new console incoming. Probably an AoE blast type centered around the Crossfield. Might even be compatable with the Standard Crossfield.
The main thing that interests me though is the markings. In game the Crossfield's shuttlebay is closed. Yet those screenshots show it open.

The T6 Constitution is (lamely) R&D, true, but you can still get it at T2 for free (or the T1 and Exeter versions in the C-Store). I'm not particularly a fan of DSC, but it still sucks that the people who are can't easily fly the show's main ship.
It's gotta be another lockbox or R&D box. They can't just pop a lockbox-ish ship on the C-store. But if an R&D box ship, its not that 'special' compared to other ships in those boxes. And essentially double-dipping a Crossfield as a new! lockbox ships seems underwhelming, imo. Cause we all know ship consoles are generally under-powered vs top tier consoles.

Probably something to do with those 'suicide shuttles' the mirror version carries. And presumably a simple case of being able to use both skins on the mirror version.

Lets be honest, they have an 'odd' history with regard to the main ships of the show at Endgame level. I mean:
ENT: T6 NX class is a Lobi store ship
DSC: Crossfield class is a Lockbox ship. (Status of mirror Crossfield TBC)
TOS (inc TOS movies): T6 Constitution is a R&D Prize ship
TNG: Galaxy class is a C-store and Fleet ship. Also has full interior via C-store;
Sovereign class is a C-store and Fleet ship
DS9: Defiant class is C-store and fleet ship. Also has full interior via C-store
VOY: Intrepid class is C-store and fleet ship. Also has full interior via C-store
Don't forget that the Galaxy, Defiant, and Intrepid also weren't endgame ships when STO first launched, they were all T4 ships. The only T5 hero ship was the Sovereign class, the rest were all Cryptic originals (with the exception of the Luna, which is an odd case in and of itself since it's a book ship).
R&D probably. Honestly I'm done with the gamble methods, if it's not C-Store, then it is the surest and fastest way to make sure I spend my money elsewhere.

The Connie and NX were even lower tier ships when the game opened too. Which made sense, because by STO time they're 150 and 250 years old respectively. Galaxy, Defiant, and Intrepid are over 50 years old, so made sense to be a step below the Sovereign's end-game status (which is only 30 years old).
But then folks wouldn't stop screaming for an end-game Connie, and it all went to hell from there. Now ships from the 2150s and 2250s must go toe-to-toe with one built in 2410, 'cause that makes sense...
Honestly, Mirror Disco will definitely not be C-Store based. Because the C-Store hero ships are placed where they should be in the pecking order. Disco fans would riot if the ship wasn't end-game usable.
Although if you think about it, putting the Disco in the C-Store at its proper tier would make it max 1,000 ZEN. But because Disco fans will whine about not being able to use their ship against the Iconians (just like folk did for the Connie), they have to spend more like 100,000 ZEN
Can you tell me what ship was placed into the Lobi Store when the Emporer's Lockbox released?
...Anybody?
There wasn't any. Isn't there always a Lobi release with a Lockbox?
Emporer's released on January 23rd and we normally get a Lockbox every three months or so, meaning a new one late April to early May.
When is Age of Discovery Phase 3 anticipated for release?

Well, that explains the patches to the Dyson Science Destroyers after all this time. The Crossfield will be pretty interesting with the mode switch ability.

Either way they do it, it's a fan-boy's wet dream. It's either perfect 2410 tech where all the ships stack in the power order as they should, or it's a free-for-all where everyone gets to hero their own ship from whatever time.
I'm only complaining because Cryptic chose one strategy to start with, and then complete 180'd on it. And because I'm afraid to see the space shuttle Enterprise at T6 one day
bulky ships in the range of 200-1600+ meters maneuvering around like fighters - or at least bombers in the case of the larger ones - looks stupid too, but star trek does that in spades

Could be. If so, it'll hang out with another Disco-Mirrorverse ship, and Burnham's first ship.
Kind of hoping it'd be part of the second set of Discoverse ships in the C-Store.

I wonder if Cryptic got that direct from the showrunners?
