I am but I'm not disappointed. On one hand, I LOVE the Vorgon design, on the other I'm not a fan of carriers, mostly because hangar pets are almost always constantly broken. Like now, they can't even keep up with a ship and they don't always engage in combat.... they need work, hopefully they will be resolved by the time the Summer Event rolls around.
I am wondering which model design they would use for the carrier, would it be the battle-ship model or the cruiser model that are in game already. Not sure if i would prefer seeing a science or tactical lean on the carrier, but also wondering if we might get the vorgon heavy escort model as a frigate pet on the carrier too.
If the Ryn'kodan-class is going to be based on one of the two known Vorgon capital ships (reference), I think the Arbarel-class BB would be the more likely candidate.
I know what you mean an do freel in many ways that they would use the battle-ship design at least as a base platform to start from, though they might do something like what they did with the breen ships (specifically the breen carrier and dreadnaught) where they redesigned the existing in game design for the event ship. Though i could see them maybe adopting some parts from each of the two designs (the cruiser and battle-ship) to create a largely similar design yet with a look that is quite original in many aspects.
Still, as long as I can colour it red, a 200 impulse, 40 turn carrier could be a blast

I've pootled around in a carrier before this fix, sloppy ai won't stop me just for the joy of commanding a squadron of ships (plus while the ais not improved, the fact they won't die to warp core breaches is a godsend as it now means I can spam the ships, rather than having to hold deployment as I know at 10% enemy hp, that fighter wing will explode when the core goes)

Well the Vorgon ships don't look bad. Particularly the battleship is very nice. It'd be great as basis for the carrier.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

I guess there's now two things which will disappoint me about the next Summer event the ship and the lack of night and day transition, if they would've only found a new way to implement the night and day mechanic then I would still play the event but alas. Oh well, I will just give it a miss this time.
