    I'm not sure, but i thought, that when i saw Phoenix on TV - it launched looking more like traditional ICBM and the drive nacelles were hiden on launch and then deployed after it has achieved orbit altitude?
    Also will there be additional blog, because that one is somewhat light on details... like will there be some interesting rewards? o:)

    as a TOS diehard and "spaceflight chronicles" supporter I do not recognize the "alt history" of the movie Zephram and will not be participating in this event. I KNOW the "Movie- First Contact" is considered canon over the book, but the discrepancy from TOS and movie (since i include book) makes this unpalatble for ME. sorry. enjoy gang!

    Interesting. I don't suppose we'll hear a rendition of "Magic Carpet Ride" during the launch?

    (I know, licensing issues and all that. Just pie-in-the-sky dreaming. lol.)

    The last time I was a participant in an event all I got was a lame ship and a bag full of Cherry Ephoo's I can't get rid of. Four and a half years playing not one bug free even yet.

    You realize that the Borg went back in time first, right? Anything the Borg may have done could have changed EVERYTHING that happened in TOS. The Sound of Thunder, dude.​​

    I usually rag on how (of late) STO Devs have just been regurgitating the same events for the last 3 years, but this one is definitely a new one, so Kudos.

    Is this going to be like the Summer Event scavenger hunt where our Captains had to find "temporally displaced" artifacts only here we are looking for "Cochrane displaced" artifacts?

    The new devs are much higher quality than many STO used to have at the top of their organizational hierarchy.​​

    Last year, actually - there was a week of giveaways from the Store.
    The year before, the Iconians were giving us a thrashing and there was no time to celebrate.
    In 2014, we were able to talk with the Enterprise-F crew at Utopia Planitia.
    In 2013, the Enterprise-F came under our command whilst Captain Shon monitored various ship systems to check some new improvements to his ship. But, the Undine attacked and made the 'tests' far more interesting.
    I don't recall any FC-day event at all in previous years, but maybe others can fill in the gap in my memory.

    Sounds interesting, but if the artifacts are too hard to find like the Summer Event one, it might spoil the whole experience. I am hoping we get a playable Phoenix ship to fly.

    Nah... competition normally allow raise pets by DOFF assignments to exchange them for choice of marks...

    Right Click -> Discard

    And the ship ain't half bad if you have a Sci captain and haven't access to a Scryer.

    This sounds cool. I'm relatively new to the game, so I will probably get my butt kicked. This still sounds fun though. Is there going to be a prize for completing the event or logging on to it each day, like there was for the breach event?
