Since Klingons and Romulans weren't featured in First Contact, probably not gonna have one for the promo release. They might make them for a later C-Store release pack. Don't know what's going on really.

Indeed, and in the rare case of Romulans getting something before Feds, the T6 Scimitar was out long before this speculated T6 Sovereign. Though both are in Nemesis.
I read the description in the link and it says the Enterprise E is "Following the destruction of Starfleet’s Flagship, the U.S.S. Enterprise-E was built to be bigger, faster and more powerful than ever." The only thing bigger about the Sovereign class compared to the Galaxy class is the length. I am still hoping that we get a T6 sovereign class someday.
Looks like we are getting a T6 Sovereign. Not exactly how I had hoped we would, but I guess I'll take it.
Maybe we'll see some other ships given the same way?
This has nothing to do with STO......Nothing to see here!!!
Even if you already own the U.S.S. Enterprise-E you are going to want to purchase the new repaint both for the new paint job as well as the chance to get a free ship for use in Star Trek Online. Don’t miss your chance to grab the U.S.S. Enterprise-E Expansion Pack (Repaint) and relive all the exciting moments and missions of the U.S.S. Enterprise-E.
Note that it says a free ship and not a free Tier 6 Command Assault Cruiser
Seriously, read what I posted:
"Use the code included in your pack to claim the WizKids EXCLUSIVE Command Assault Cruiser, a $30 value, in Star Trek Online for FREE."
Let me break this down for you...it's a Command Assault Cruiser, a $30 value. T6 ships are worth $30. Command ships have Command Boff seats and only T6 ships have command Boff seats. There is no current T6 Assault Cruiser, much less a Command Assault Cruiser. The-E is a Sovereign. The model is a Sovereign. Am I making it easier to digest yet?
Too bad it's just an attack wing jawn and not a T6 Sovvie for STO!
(totally kidding, this is awesome news thanks for sharing the link)
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of First Contact how about a Wizkids exclusive Intel Borg Sphere with a $30 value.....along with the sovereign? The only way to get a borg ship in game.
This is in response to someone saying kdf and roms werent in first contact.

Well, 22nd November this year is 20 years since First Contact debuted, so at least someone seems to care about one anniversary this year after the joke attempt at commemorating the other one on STOs part.
Seriously, what a joke, devoting an entire expansion and a bunch of ships to TOS for the Anniversary of Star Trek, was a pathetic joke.
One single ship, that however is totally a real appreciation of an anniversary.
The "expansion" came out long before the anniversary, what they did to recognize the actual day WAS a joke.

Personally, I prefer the look of the Borg Cooperative Sphere. Borg Cooperative Tactical Cube looks better, but we know the chances of getting that.

Thank you for posting something I already know. There is definitely not enough answers to prove if this is a T6 sovereign class. Need more evidence.
You don't think that the ingame ship being referenced as a Command Assault Cruiser and the $30 value are enough evidence that it is a T6 ship? Especially considering that T6 ships sell in the C-store for 3000 zen, which is for all intents and purposes $30; and that no T5 ships are labelled with a specialization (Command Cruiser, Pilot Escort, Intel Cruiser, etc; all T6).
"I'm not big on telepaths myself. I'm not big on guns either. But if everyone else has them, I want to make sure I can get my hands on the biggest one I can."

Like he said, we all need way more evidence before we can confirm that this unsubstantiated rumor with a link to a possible leaks based website is even close to being considered maybe a tinsy bit true and on the record.
As it is, this is the very definition of "I saw it on the internet, it must be true!"

Very well, but I was not aware that Startrek.com (which is where the OP linked to and the article can easily found there without the link) was considered a leaks based website.

I'll be picking up a Sovereign Attack Wing minature if this is true. Always liked the design of the Sovereign.

It was announced on the official Star Trek website. I originally saw that via Facebook, and they regularly announce Attack Wing expansions. While the Enterprise-E expansion is a re release of the model and everything that comes with it, the paint job is superior to the original release paint job.

Why must every cruiser be command? Might as well not have spec seating at all for how useful that is ... can we get an Intel or Pilot Assault Cruiser in the C-Store please?

You mean like the Guardian Cruiser or Eclipse Intel Cruiser? The Guardian Cruiser should be a Guardian Command Cruiser since it doesn't make any sense for it having an Intel slot.

The Guardian came out before they made Command spec. The Mirror Guardian has Command seating.
As for intel and pilot... Cruisers do tend to lean more towards Command over Pilot due to being large, typically slower ships. Pilot fits the Escort style a lot more.

Hello anybody home. Wake up STO fans.... This has nothing to do with STO but the "Star trek Attack wing" game. lol
IF it's even true! I'm still not ready to accept confirmation of fact here. But yeah, totally just Attack Wing. I can't believe this thread has gone on as long as it has. I blame JJ Abrams.

While the actual model is for Attack Wing, apparently there will be a promo code for a ship in STO. So technically it is STO related.

Riseofthephoenix is a relatively new player assumably and is either not aware STO codes for DLC can be found in unconventional places or has a reading comprehension problem.
I for one am going to look for a table top game shop in my area and going to pick one up the day it comes out. I am a collector of rare and odd collectables in STO. Hopefully it won't be available via CSTORE so it wont be common and would make a great conversation piece.
I'm conflicted on this. Realistically speaking, as long as you purchased for around 30 dollars its a good deal. My biggest concerns are supply, and demand. If this is the only way to obtain the ship, then I could see complications in obtaining it down the road. Furthermore, some people may not even be in a position to purchase this attack wing thanks to there being no local game stores nearby. Granted, you could always order the ship, but then this becomes even more tedious, since you will have to wait till the actual attack wing is shipped before you can even use the ship in game. This is an interesting idea for sure, and I might take advantage of this just because I like cool collectable ships, but this way of releasing T6 ships has some problems.
I couldn't care less if everyone else in the game has one or not. It only matters to me if I have one.
Having a snifter of brandy in the library at the 'Club' with Colonel Mustard and reminiscing over a digital ship from days gone by just doesn't have much appeal.

enh, I'd happily get one of the minis if it meant I get the T6 ship from it.
Now for the REAL question.. what's the KDF/Rom equivalent gonna be?

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) was a 24th century Federation Sovereign-class starship operated by Starfleet.
