I'd consider it IF it came in reverse, so to speak - you could buy a ship & got the C-store version to fly online. That's the one you should customize.
Marketing is akin to hypnotism.
Offer me Attack Wing ships that come with an electronic version to use online, then we'll talk.
If it's only fifteen bucks, I will probably pick one up. I said I'd consider it if they ever gave out codes for Online ships to accompany ship models, though it was about those 3D printed ones. Price seems more than fair for an attack wing expansion, too.
Well, 22nd November this year is 20 years since First Contact debuted, so at least someone seems to care about one anniversary this year after the joke attempt at commemorating the other one on STOs part.
Seriously, what a joke, devoting an entire expansion and a bunch of ships to TOS for the Anniversary of Star Trek, was a pathetic joke.
One single ship, that however is totally a real appreciation of an anniversary.
The "expansion" came out long before the anniversary, what they did to recognize the actual day WAS a joke.
And, does it matter? The day is over in the blink of an eye. The AOY Expansion will be with us until the game servers are closed down, and be a significant monument to TOS that will be available to present and future players to remind them of Star Trek's origin.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I read the description in the link and it says the Enterprise E is "Following the destruction of Starfleet’s Flagship, the U.S.S. Enterprise-E was built to be bigger, faster and more powerful than ever." The only thing bigger about the Sovereign class compared to the Galaxy class is the length. I am still hoping that we get a T6 sovereign class someday.
..... ..... like the one I linked to in the initial post?
I hate to say it, but we probably won't get a Romulan or Klingon equivalent. We should. But if you look at the history of STO, they don't always do Romulan and Klingon counterparts to stuff like this. I wish they did. I hope I'm wrong. I would buy all three ships. The chances are, this is a one time deal. Again, I hope I'm wrong. But if they do keep doing this, it would certainly encourage me to buy more Attack Wing stuff. But, if we are going to speculate that they will do this kind of promotion again, and, we want to speculate on what ships they will offer, then take a look at the next two expansions for Attack Wing. I really hope I'm wrong, and that they do this more often. In fact, I would also love to see STO specific content in Attack Wing. The Dhelan is my favorite design. An Attack Wing mini and a tier six version of that ship would be awesome. For me, the draw is not that it is the Sovereign, but that it is a combination Attack Wing/STO deal. So, Cryptic, please do more of these.
Hello anybody home. Wake up STO fans.... This has nothing to do with STO but the "Star trek Attack wing" game. lol
You clearly did not read the article, or perhaps it is you that is not home. I'm not the media, nor am I expected to fully vette what I post. It appeared to be accurate. The picture of the product clearly shows a notice that it contains an STO code. The article is about how the product will have a code for an STO ship. This makes it STO relevant and obviously, until Cryptic confirms it, it's not fully supported, but that doesn't change the fact that it is there and for some of us that would love to have a T6 Sov, it's far more hope than we had last week while in the same boat as the poor Nova fans...no offense Nova fans! I hope you get your ship soon as well.
@reyan01 don't lose hope. I think they will eventually release a t6 nova. The good thing about cryptic taking so long releasing the nova is that it might actually get a good specialization and boff layout.
...the poor Nova fans...no offense Nova fans! I hope you get your ship soon as well.
I'm losing hope on that front. Cryptic only seem to do cruisers now.
yes i saw link, tho it not has nothing with game, as its about Enterprise E so, i i went about NX
also i want to say it would be nice to get t6 Sovergain, t6, Nova, t6 Vor'cha, t6 Wells, t6 Miranda-ok this one is quite old, but if its used in 25th cenutry, let tradition continue

Riseofthephoenix is a relatively new player assumably and is either not aware STO codes for DLC can be found in unconventional places or has a reading comprehension problem.
I for one am going to look for a table top game shop in my area and going to pick one up the day it comes out. I am a collector of rare and odd collectables in STO. Hopefully it won't be available via CSTORE so it wont be common and would make a great conversation piece.
Yes I'm a new player. Well 4 years new player. (lol). and no I don't have a reading problem. Unlike some I'm much more concern about the state of the game after so many years out (I'm talking about bugs here. For PC).
But when I look at all the bug fixes on the release note for console compare to PC release note (which has got as many bugs.), I have to wonder if the game isn't going to desappear from pc.
...the poor Nova fans...no offense Nova fans! I hope you get your ship soon as well.

You saw the link...yet failed to read. It's about their new Enterprise-E pack coming with a code for a Command Assault Cruiser...aka Sovereign in STO.
I hope this isn't a promo only ship where I have to go around the houses to purchase the code. I.E international order and wait for shipping. I don't have a comic book/arts and craft type store where I live. I'd much rather just pay Cryptic the full £30 direct to the Zen Store and claim the ship.

Yes. and by more we mean including Rom/KDF ones. Fed ones are fine. But....
Okay, so I missed the STO bit way, way, way down the page, but I also notice that it's in $'s, so that means that this offer won't be available to us over the pond!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
...None of this changes the fact that majority of new ships lately seem to be cruisers, cruisers and more cruisers.
And the worst thing? It doesn't even bring anything new to the table; seriously - it's a command cruiser which means it will be inferior to the Command Battlecruisers and the T6 Flagship Cruisers. By all accounts , I don’t see how this can be anything more than a Yamato, Resolute or Andromeda class in a different skin – and that's a real shame.
And to be clear, my only 'issue' here is that I feel that something other than another cruiser should have been the next new ship release. I don't expect much agreement here; simply stating opinion.
True. It should have been a Temporal Battlecruiser with a LtC Uni/Intel seat, just like the D7. Players would buy it and the forums would be an interesting place for at least a week.
Yes, i found attack wing stuff for online sale at a British retailer because it had a £ on it. They even had the exact ship we are talking about w/code available for preorder. So its not so NA exclusive.
I'm curious as to why it's labeled as a "Command Assault Cruiser". It's not like the other standard T6 ships are named in such a way. Yamato isn't labeled as "Command Dreadnought Cruiser". Andromeda isn't known as "Command Exploration Cruiser" or Hestia as "Command Advanced Escort". Only the ships that have the full Commander specialization seating have the word in its name, such as "Concorde Command Battlecruiser" or "Icarus Class Pilot Escort". I really doubt that Sovereign will come with a full seating and inspiration abilities. It's probably nothing more than a tease to let us know which specialization we're getting. Just wishful thinking.
Also, ship sale today. I was gonna get a Valiant but this tease is making me want to save my zen. Darn you Cryptic for making me have to think.
Buying my Valiant. I'll just pay for Sovereign whenever it comes out. Thanks for the sale!
...the poor Nova fans...no offense Nova fans! I hope you get your ship soon as well.
I'm losing hope on that front. Cryptic only seem to do cruisers now.
You're right when you say cruisers are in much higher quantity, but we recently just got the Eternal, Nautilus, Theseus, and Ouroboros. The important bit is that we still get the other ship types. They haven't stopped making them. I wouldn't lose hope. Nova has a much higher chance than something like a KDF Gorn sci ship.

Even more unlikely when Cryptic seem to be moving away from releasing cstore ships outside of a big bundles.
The last cstore ships were in the Temporal pack months ago, and no ships other than gamble ships since then..
I don't understand this. Bundles are only a good thing. You save money. The Temporal ships can be purchased individually. So if you only want one or two specific temporal ships, you can just buy those and done. You're not forced to buy the bundles for one specific ship.
Nova can still be released as part of a cross faction 3-pack, like how Valiant was released. Even though it's been a while since the last individual ship release (I think it was Hestia?), there's no guarantee that it won't come out like that. I see the cross faction bundles as a good thing since KDF and Roms can still get in on the fun.

I think special ships have the designation though such as the Intel Dreadnought Cruiser and the Heavy Command Cruiser.

Konnie has full Command seating and inspiration abilities. Vengeance has full Intel seating and gather intelligence. They probably wouldn't have the designation if they didn't come with the full seatings and abilities.
I have a Mirror Guardian, I parked it shortly after getting the trait out of it.
You guys aren't missing much except maybe the paint job. Turns like a brick.
Sovy isn't a ship I immediately think of... but it is a nice ship. Not sure if i'll bite on this promo. But it's an interesting way to do it.

Another award winner for not reading closely.
That is fine, it will make me and a few others more special flying in our exclusive wizkids T6 Sovereign. That's okay.
Just start calling the Nova a mini-cruiser....from the side, it kinda looks like one...that may be enough to catch their attention.

I just picture the Sov carrying one on it's back now, much like the -D had that space slug thing on it's back in one of the TNG episodes.
