i see a lot of ppl complaining about do this on multiple toons, wont the rewards past and present be reclaimable on your account from the event reputation store? like the anniversary ships?

Nope. Only ships are claimable like that as they are account unlock. These events are CHARACTER unlock, so have to be run on every alt.
Would have rather had the shotgun, than an admiralty card (oh, yay!) marks and dil. I get marks and dil in plenty, and cards are meaningless, since by the time you start using them, you have a stable of capable ships to send on missions anyway.
Fail event, Cryptic. An utterly pathetic attempt.

I don't even have to give it a minute's thought, No Thanks not interested in running the mission.
It's a real TRIBBLE when half the team AFKs and I remember all too well what it was like the last time.
I might have run it for a more epic reward, the marks and dilithium are nice, but I get those doing something I enjoy more, The admiralty card, despite it's epicness just isn't incentive enough for me.
Although it's a bit tiresome doing it on 10 chars and it takes a long time (timer, I'm looking at you), I'm having fun. I don't care about people who AFK, more action for me and it's less boring than waiting 3 or 4 minutes for the next phase.
And I'm not complaining about the reward either. 500k dilithium - money in the bank.
The worst part about all of this is that there's been a ton of megathreads and feedback both here and on the STO Reddit where Devs tend to hang...and yet...NOTHING. You don't want us to AFK? Fine...give us an incentive! Make it so our actions matter! Time gates and other artifices only fall into the "Playing as Intended"-philosophy which may make it easier for internal metrics but it sucks from a player viewpoint.
I enjoy massacring the mirror losers, so I don't care whether it "matters" in the big picture. But yes, as I've been saying since the first time this version of mirror incursion went live.... make it so the coffee break is an early mission completion.
After thinking on it, I'm thinking I will pass on the event as usual.
Can I have your marks, pweeze?
I had some time left of my usual playing time. I went on and did a round of it. For my 1st time ever. The group I was in was a good one. So no issues there. I had a decent idea from the tutorial at the start on what to do. Then I did what I could to help the group. My Ambassador did very well in there. Not one death at all. We completed the entire thing with no health drop on the station.
Best part, I got enough Omega Marks for my Omega outfit from the Omega Rep. Which I was wanting for my Fed main. I enjoyed it with that group. So I may try it again later on. But I doubt I will get far into turning in the 14 required for the big prize.

I used to love this event but after a few plays it got old and for a admiralty card it isn't worth it and due to your money grab over the t6 connie I will give this game a rest for a while

This is one reason why I won't keep doing it as well. I got what I wanted. Enough marks for my Omega outfit.

I still have yet to see an afk person yet, though I have been seeing people dropping the mission before it starts... even with 4 people, we have been acing it...
Now, about that time gate nonsense. At least keep the portals spawning... sometimes we get only 20 portals ot spawn... other times, it is up to 30+. At least, if we get more portals we stay busy. Plus if you keep the portals coming, you could increase the bonus rewards on how many are closed.

I've had good teams for my first 3 runs too. So far I'm only doing the event with my AoY captain but I might decide to add 1 or 2 others for the marks.

Like iamynaught said, I'm counting the total form the 10 toons. It will take some time and eventually becomes a bit boring, but it's still worth it. Obviously that at any time I feel it's more trouble than it's worth, I'll simply stop.

It will spawn more if you do the engineering points to raise the station's defense stages before clearing too many portals. Most people try to close the portals as fast as possible so that they are not overrun. Thus being efficient leads to long wait times.
As a side note, the difficulty is increased on advanced so if normal is just too easy try advanced. Although the rewards are not much more it should keep you busy in a pick up group (pug), but premade teams with powerful ships will still face-roll advanced.

Will the card from the previous event be able to be finished? I have run left to go on one of my characters.
They don't seem to allow you to add to any old events. Once the event is over, if you aren't finished - too bad... you can't finish it. Have one toon with 3 or 4 events that haven't been completed.
I wish you would redesign this queue so once a certain number of rifts have been closed, the final phase starts. But I guess we will have to wait for the timer to run out... Not looking forward to all that idle waiting.
More Rifts closed = higher rewards. Think it says that somewhere.
ran it earlier today had two people run around killing everything in sight , me and the other 2 players wound up sitting at the starbase waiting for it to be over.
If people dont want people to just AFK it, give us something to do dont kill everything and expect us to want to participate.
Last night, was with a good Pug. As odd as it is to use those two words together. It was a rare pleasure to run this mission with people who do not see pew-pew as the answer to everything. We closed the rifts first, mopped up the stragglers, and then turned on the station defenses. With about two minutes to spare. It is nice to see the station defenders are as as inept this time as they were in the last MIE. No Terran ships were killed by the station defenses until phase two. Despite Obisek announcing they were doing so. Guess the Terrans are intercepting our command frequencies, lol.
Today, every time I have run this, someone seems hellbent on getting the station defenses up as fast as possible. The result? Far too many Terran ships getting shots in at the station. Someone rage quit. All of this is far too common with this edition of the MIE. The old MIE was better. Obisek is rapidly turning into the Reman version of Kurland.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
Sadly, the bugs from last year's MIE Advanced were not fixed, and have now expanded to corrupt the Normal queue as well. When 3 rifts spawn adjacent to each other, it's not possible for a single player to close even one of them at times before the NPC's completely overwhelm the defenses. If 3 players happen to converge on that area at the same time, there is hope, but the RNG is busy spawning ludicrous numbers of rifts all over the map in some instances.
Once the map loads up with NPC's, the lag becomes fatal, with complete loss of ship/weapons control, resulting in multiple consecutive respawns requiring repairs to the ship. This is not only not fun, but a complete waste of time; many players do do ragequit, they are DC'd from the server due to the horrific lag...

Yeah, I was in that situation last night with a few of my captains. In one instance I think I spent several minutes doing nothing but fighting NPCs. Other ships eventually came by to close the rifts and I made sure to activate FAW to draw aggro.
At least this time around I did not fall asleep playing this mission like I did on Friday night. I wonder if anyone one reported me as AFK because I fell asleep while waiting for the timer to count down and I didn't wake up until after the mission was completed and I needed to choose my reward.
I stopped doing solo runs on the rifts as I'll just get swamped lately. Usually try to stick with 1 or 2 other heavies now. At least then my Escort doesn't then have 20 ships tagging the hell out of it before I can do anything.
When I did it, I was working with a Sci ship. So my Ambassador and the other ship was a good combo. They closed the rift, and I worked on the ships. And we just went back and forth on one side of the map. And the rest worked on their side.
It was a good test to my build. Not once did I get below 50% on health. Not bad from an Event T5 ship. Just shows it can still get the job done.
