They run the game and make the marketing decisions. If you don't like it don't buy it, if it wasn't going to work however they wouldn't do it so clearly you are in the minority. The rest of us don't care or can simply afford it, welcome to capitalism.
..... so okay, why are the only choices available here either Z-Store or lockbox?
Considering the following: it's Star Trek's 50th Anniversary year, and the new movie is out in a month or so, I'd wager that if the KT Constitution class were to be made available in-game, it could potentially be a limited-time-only mission arc reward.
This has happened in the past several times in the game, ships being given out for sparse amounts of time as rewards. And aformentioned celebrations considered, it could make some sense. It'd also keep the actual in-game instances of the ship itself shockingly low, even lower than those from lockboxes; you either get it while it's there, or you don't. Period.
i very much doubt it will be an arc box reward...
chances are low for an episode reward grind.
bit better for z-store (my hope)
odds on favorite for gamble box.
end of the day ships help to drive $ to this game... i feel z-store will be better since these are main ships of the player factions... not some odd minor or original game enemy ship. only pw knows the financials of the gamble boxes in how they rake in the cash.
I'm am guessing they will prolly make the connie and the kdf raider zen. The vengence and nerada for lockbox. That would be the most logical and best way for them to make money on em.
Lockboxes are in no sense a scam, a scam is a dishonest scheme, where something is misrepresented.
It's a false allegation, a lie, and you shouldn't repeat it.
first of all who are you to tell me what i should or shouldn't say, + you are not allowed to call me a liar. I never insulted you, try to do the same.
a scam is a dishonest scheme
not in all cases (business tactics), and yes, it is a scam (not a fraud); not by lies but by omissions. they don't give at the players all the facts needed to take a decision. I learnt this lesson when I was a noob in this game.
oh! yes, the boxes are intended to give 4 lobis (no lie here), and if you are lucky you can have more. then, you want to buy the stuff from the stores at ridiculous prices, and the uniforms/outfits are not even useable by the boffs. you could tell me, no need to buy these stuff with lobis, there is the exchange. oh! yes it is true, but when i see the prices of these items, I can not prevent me laugh.
greed still has a bright future.
anyway, have fun with your beloved boxes. end of discussion. there are more interesting subjects.
Someone who is right. You shouldn't repeat lies, its morally wrong to lie.
Stop and organize your thoughts, what you posted just now was just scattershot rambling. Don't get angry when you get called out for doing something wrong, be introspective and try to figure out where you started to go wrong, and how you can fix it.
well, something is sure, you have enough arrogance to think that you can think for the others. If you can't understand what the others write and try to explain, don't try to argue. And no, you are wrong. if they wanted to be really honest, we will have each percentage of chance of having the items from the boxes, added in the box description; 0,0000001% chance of having x item etc.
btw, like you take the right to insult me, I have the right to do the same thing: its morally wrong to be a moron.

except for the fact the NARADA IS A ROMULAN CARRIER *according to datamining*, again the most asked for ships from romulans because we have none!
so most logical is c-store because romulans have no carrier they can call their own.
i think it would be cool though if they were promo's for seeing the movie though *think of what wow did for warcraft*

That promo was just to login to the game, it didn't require anyone to see the movie.
Movie was awesome btw (saw it twice), but if you haven't played a warcraft game you might get a bit lost ...

The Narada fits for being a C-Store ship since it is originally from STO's universe and went to the Kelvin Universe. The same applies for the Jellyfish and maybe the Kelvin ship assuming that there was a USS Kelvin in the 23rd Century of STO's universe that looked the same as the Kelvin Universe version.
The only one that really bothers me is the D-4. Except for the intel qib and the raptor that came with the DR pack, all the Klink ships look like big rust buckets (obviously, this is my view). The only KDF ships that have come out that aren't are some of the Naussicans and what will soon be two lockbox ships. The first one being the Temporal Science Vessel which was a double slam against a faction starved for a decent science craft, and the second one being this updated BoP.
I don't mind that the Kelvin ships are lockboxes. I just mind that I feel as though KDF gets a huge shaft when it comes to ship design asthetics. The Feds, the Romulans, they get interesting designs that are very scifi feeling. The KDF, they had an interesting design, but the rest of them are just rusty phallic objects.
/end rant. I realize this will have no baring on anything anyways.
If jjtrek is the trek of the next generation, the next generation are not trekkies. They can complain and moan about it, but it's true. Their complaints won't change that.

Complaining and moaning about the new generation of Trek won't change the fact that that's what is bringing people into the fold now, either.
They're just as much Trekkies as anyone else, and have just as much right to it as us older fans.
No amount of whining about that will change it, and it should be up to the old guard to be welcoming of them.
As soon as you start deciding who is and isn't a "real Trekkie", you pretty much start betraying some pretty core principals of Trek itself.
But, that entire film, every part of it, is JJ Abrams' work on Star Trek. No matter what part in the timeline, alternate or otherwise, the film happens to be taking place in ... it's all part of what Abrams and his team brought to the table in Trek.
True. That would be no different than comparing what B&B brought in with Enterprise compared to TNG and TOS. They've added to it, just like JJ Abrams has.
Who made it doesn't really factor in when we're talking in universe.
In Universe, nothing in the timeline changed until the Narada appeared before the Kelvin. Out of universe... it is all JJ Abrams contributions. All of it.
I disagree, even though it will never be acknowledge prime Kirk was born on Earth in Iowa but alt universe Kirk was born on a starship (the U.S.S. Kelvin) and that will be considered cannon, but alt Kirk ask prime Spock if he knew his father and Spock replied with yes he saw you take command of Enterprise, the timeline change long before the Narada appeared before the Kelvin. the alt universe is just that a alternate reality with some similarity to the prime universe i.e characters, some will show up at different times i.e. Khan some may not show up at all.
My guess is a temporal lock box similar to the old one. Open it on one faction and get a ship to match it. Rom - carrier/KDF- raider/Fed TOS both get KT connie and the grand prize is the vengance.

So calling it the Kelvin Timeline might be completely inaccurate. A timeline means that either trillions of people cease to exist due to changing the past or the timeline is split into two different realities. Travelling to a parallel universe that looks almost identical to the 23rd Century would mean that there is no temporal paradoxes or other problems to worry about. Caitians that look like humans with cat tails and ears is an indication that it is a parallel universe and not another timeline.
Khan being discovered early is not necessarily due to it being part of a parallel universe, but due to Nero interfering with the natural future of the Kelvin Universe.

but even though it was not confirm (or maybe it was) that "cat like person" in Star Trek V was a catian and do somewhat resemble the catians in ITD they are similar in looks so what we have in-game are more like what was in the animated series but we have in the movies are similar too I don't see the big deal on the looks to the girls Kirk had in bed to the one we saw throw Kirk across the room in ST:V there are catians in the eyes of the creator of each movie, and are catians to me but maybe not you or others.

That has never been confirmed nor claimed to my knowledge.
Cat people have a long tradition in sci-fi, for whatever reason. Not every cat-like alien is a caitian.

I highly doubt they would make the Nerada c-store. It is has borg tech and you know what they did with the previouse borg enchanced romulan ships. 1 in the lockbox 1 in the lobi. Hence why I think the Nerada will more than likely be lockbox. If people want to quit over that don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Prolly what ships cost now. 3k zen for cash shop t6 ships, 300m-700mil ec for lockbox ships and the usual 800 lobi for lobi ships.
