The darkest timeline.
BRING IT ON
Eh. It works if you realize the ship is all Doctor Who on the inside where they mess with spacetime as part of the framing. It explains the angles of the windows and the thinness of the saucer.
I wasnt referring to the mechanics of it... I just think the pancake-prise is far FAR more fugly than the JJprize
Patience, young Padawan eager young space cadet... patience...
Unless you mean the D4 from Into Darkness, in which case all bets are off...
The surprising implication of any of that coming to STO: ships would be allowed on ground maps again.

I believe that the Koro't'inga is actually the D6.

I must be behind on the lea ... er ... "news"
What? I mean with all this time travel, it must be inevitable.

Its possible that its from the same era as the Ent-J, hence the design similarities.
IMO the Ent-J is just too big for a player ship. She'd dwarf even the Tholian Tarantula, and that's one of the biggest player ships in the game. And before anyone says Scimitar, I'm talking mass wise as well as length. The Scimitar's size is mostly in its wings, while the Tarantula is bulk.
I think the Ent-J might be the size of 2 or 3 Voth Citadel Dreads put together at least.
While you are right about no on screen scale for size, we do gotta consider that each successive Enterprise has been bigger, typically a member of one of the most advanced classes of their respective eras.
Furthermore, the statement about a designer's word not being cannon only goes so far. When Cryptic redesigned sector space, they made a concerted effort to match up as many star systems as possible with their locations in the Star Trek Starcharts book, even though that book is in no way canon.
If Cryptic did decide to bring the Ent-J into the game (most likely as a set piece for the inevitable battle of Procyon V), I would bank on her being very close to Drexler's original vision.
A more appropriate comparison is what the designer of the Akira wanted for it and the Heavy Escort Carrier. Then there is the Vesta ships, Odyssey, and Chimera which all had the original creator's input even if they were just a fan of the game that was chosen by a contest.
If we ever get the Enterprise-J, then it would be 2 miles wide, called the Universe-class, and have some highly advanced engines. Although, if we do see it in STO, I don't see it as a playable ship, but as a mission location. Probably find a heavily damaged one and we have to help it get repaired or keep it out of the hands of some hostile alien force. There is absolutely no need to see the ship move since it is supposed to be able to fold space so the devs would only need some visual FX.
