I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    I feel like most people use torpedoes for the secondary effects. Particularly On Science Builds.

    I have multiple canon loadouts, I have a "strong" kinetic build in the works, and a few science bombers. But for the most part, FAW is love, FAw is life.

    I would say none of the above exactly. Most of my characters use gravimetric torpedo and one uses neutronic. I feel that torpedoes are important to Trek so I use them and have great results with those 2 torpedo types especially, and especially on my particles builds.

    Basically I use all beams and 1 torpedo on all my ships except for my wizard who uses 2 torpedoes.

    If I want to be totally ineffective I will use torps... especially the targettable heavies... they miss a lot lol

    Science torpedo build, DHC/Turret build, SC/Turret build, EBC torpedo bomber, Trico Bomber and some BFAW/mixed sets to top it off. Probably missed a few builds in that list though.​​
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    I try to go beams + 1 torpedo or cannons +1 torpedo or science +1 torpedo. Very rarely do I just go energy weapons. My favorite is GW + CSV + TS.

    Almost all builds have 1 torp for fun, but so fair I have only 2 builds with 2+ torps.

    At least two from Options 3-7.
    My main is using full beams for high DPS runs. For everything else i have a variety of builds but mostly beams + 1 torp or cannons + 1 torp. My Sci alt has a heavy torp build on a Phantom and a Grab and Smash build on a Vesta.​​

    1. Main toon(Fed Eng)/main ship (T5U Tac Oddy) - as seen on TV. One torp in front (neutronic), one in back (the new FE one, I forget its name), all phasers
    2. Main toon(Fed Eng)/secondary ship (T6 Fed Vet) - antiproton beamscort. iconian AP set (with torp) and 2 DBB in front, 2 AP Omnis and cutting beam in back
    3. First Alt (RomFed Sci)/only ship (T5U Dyson Destroyer) - I went all in on the Dyson set, gravimetric torp, AP Omnis, cutting beam, the works
    4. Second Alt(Fed Tac)/only ship (T6 intel escort) - as seen on TV(sort of), phaser cannons and photon torp (bio-molecular), phaser turrets and cutting beam in rear

    My main builds are mostly beam weapons using FAW for the everyday grind in the game. I do for fun a canon build with one fore and one aft torpedo on many of my ships. Since the release of the Quantum Phase torpedo with the featured episode Sunrise I have been using this torpedo a lot. The Quantum Phase torpedo is amazing and it is fun to use torpedoes again on my T5U fleet tactical escort retrofit. I was initially not going to bother with the Valiant but I am thinking about getting it as I have a few ideas for a build with the Quantum phase set and parts of the Terran Task force Space and Starship Technologies sets.

    Every single one of my builds includes at least one torpedo launcher. Not a big fan of mines, but my crowd control Science Guy makes good use of those Web Mines.

    Same, 6 beams and 2 torps on all my cruisers and 5 beams and a single fore torp on sci and carrier ships

      My Fleet MatHa has a perfectly synergized Torpedo/DHC build that causes serious damage without diminishing either.(
      I have an Enhanced Bio-Molecular Photon that can crit for over 200k damage, the disruptors do a real nice job clearing a path for it. ^_^

      Then of course I have my Intrepid that uses Beam Arrays with an Overload Proc and Gravimetric torpedoes to equal effect.

      My Sci Torp Build Started on a DSD, then went to the Tholian Orb Weaver, then a Nicor, and then is currently on a Nandi!

      Funny enough the Nandi works Quite Well for this... 8 weapons slots, (7 torps, 1 Mine) and enough Sci Abilities to have a lot of fun... I had an extra slot so I put Lock Trajectory on it... which pretty much allows to target any ship with any torpedo fore or aft. LOL

      I havn't ran it in a while, but here was the equipment at last run.

      125+ AUX FOR THE WIN BABY!!!

      Every single one of my ships has at least 1 torp on them. I won't fly a ship without torps.

      As much as i like torpedo builds, does that combination not get stuck on the global cooldown for torpedoes?

      Why not use 1 harpeng, 2photon/quantum and 1 cluster up front. That may you avoid most of the global cooldown.
      In the rear section you can use nukara or tractor mines.​​

      Torpedo in front and the back. The bio-enhanced from the Undine Rep (back) and the wide angled quantum torpedo(front). The bio-enhanced because of a two-piece set that increases phaser (and disruptor) damage. Wide angled because of the area of attack it has. That helps take down frigates like nothing for me.

      And yes, I run fire at will too. So sue me.

      DPS-Bronze, DPS-Silver, DPS-Gold, etc. are FAKE! They were created by an outvoted minority who destroyed the original DPS channels!

      Tactical Team sucked, once upon a time. I got it buffed. Don't think for a minute that Cryptic ignores forum feedback.

      I would not say FAW is EZ mode...

      II wouldn't call it easy mode, but having flown both, I'd say FAW boats are easier to use than a torp boat.

      I have all options from 4-7. I don't use any science ships anymore, so I don't have option 3. (Edit: Unless my 125 aux drain-scort counts.)
