My photonic fleet ability still spawns plenty of glorious Typhoons. But I'm still a bit pissed at the developers for making the sector space 'abandoned ships' Typhoons. Because, one, Starfleet doesn't do that to decommissioned vessels, and two, it feels like a deliberate snub at those of use long asking for the ship. That might not have been the intention, but that's the vibe I get from it.

Photonic fleet and Fleet Support Typhoons got finally replaced with command cruisers.
I don't want to step on anyone's toes here, but I am grateful for that. It's about time the ship models got overhauled and the Typhoon model still looks hideous.
I am, however, still in favour of a T6 Oddyssey-typhoon skin option. It does, however, not justify being a separate ship in my book.

Well looks like that new Omega Variant of the FED Carrier took a Very tiny amount of inspiration from the Jupiter's Shape, so we have that to tide us over unless that design doesn't win lol.
I was looking for this thread. And it's not that tiny of an inspiration, it's the Jupiter with the middle struts between the hulls taken out.

So this thread has seemed to have served it's purpose. The Typhoon was resurrected in the form of the command cruisers. And the Jupiter in the Omega variant of the design your ship voting. (Which is the likely winner.)

Command Cruisers no thanks for replacing the beloved Typhoon. We still have the Stardancer holding on for us ingame. Btw the Typhoon battleship was in a novel as well. Not just in the game. U.S.S Athens in 2381 in the novel was with the Enterprise-E.
