The Ch'Tang's mission pod is floating very slightly above the ship, this is much more noticeable if you try using the Ch'Tang mission pod on an otherwise stock Ki'tang. The smaller/slimmer Ki'tang body leads to a larger gap.
It's unfortunate, but I would imagine that the ship artists (whether intentionally or not) made the Andromeda to configure with the Monarch, Venture and Galaxy models, and not the Celestial or Envoy models (of which I didn't think were compatible anyway). A further shame cause those nacelles really do suit a revamped Galaxy. It still baffles me as to why those two models are not available to use with a T5 (or T6) Exploration Cruiser in the first place.
Just started using my SuQob Raider and played a Borg Alert knowing beforehand how great a day to die it was.
I already found it odd beforehand when the SuQob's warp trail happened to be inifinitely wider than the actual ship model. Fighting the Borg just confirmed it.
The extra effects, which include warp trails, near death burning damage, etc. fit a much bigger ship model. That means that when you're near death and the ship is damaged and on fire, for the SuQob, these textures will be hovering above the ship. This was later completely confirmed when I went into a PvP and asked my friend to use energy siphon on me. The blue trail from the siphon appeared above and a little behind the ship.
So it's confirmed. The SuQob, or my ship at least has a 'Poltership' following it 24/7.
Do any of the Ship Artists actually visit this thread? While a lot of these bugs are annoying and need to be fixed, some are just worse than others, like the MVAE/AE mini-nacelle sticking up on any saucer other than the Prometheus.
I do think I know the problem though.. whatever 'hook' is used to center the mini nacelle is the same hook used on the Prometheus saucer, no matter which one is actually selected. It'd be nice if they'd actually fix the other three saucer hooks so they nestle and extend properly.
God yes and mentioned so many times in multiple threads. Yet still not fixed.
Well the next batch of iconic ships will probably be the Excelsior, B'rel, and T'liss, for use with pilot specialization. I understand that it has to be the B'rel in there, but the next iconic tier 6 klingon ship needs to be the K't'inga. It won't be TOS overdose, the B'rel was all over modern trek and K't'inga had its fair share of appearances too. That model needs to be updated so bad, preferably to the Kronos one version, which formed the basis of all further K't'inga models.
Not sure of the extent of these problems, but it seems ships with "animations" have issues. Two issues being the vet ships in sector space and normal space, and the b'rel. The vet ships in sector space don't shift into warp travel position, and occasionally on normal space maps the switch between regenerative and tactical modes will animate at random. The B'rel's wings when exiting combat don't actually move back up, it just instantly appears back in flight configuration.
I noticed on the Tier 6/Fleet Tier 6 Negh'Tev/Negh'Var Heavy Battlecruiser that hull material Type 4 doesn't have any options for hull patterns like the others. On the Tier 6 Mat'Ha Raptor hull material Type 4 does allow for patterns to be used in conjunction with this hull material, so I can only assume that this oversight is an error currently.

Actually, it seems that Season 10 may have fixed the problem with the vet ships (well the Chimera, anyway). Here is evidence to support that.
The problem with the B'rel (and, in fact, other BoPs), however, isn't fixed as far as I can tell.
Recently picked up a Fleet Scourge Destroyer Retrofit, plus the upgrade, for my new Nausicaan TAC delta recruit. Flew it through some empire defense missions, found it to be an outstanding ship performance wise....
And then I visited the ship tailor. I'm sure you all know the story, but just in case you don't I'll share with you what I found. When I entered the ship tailor I found the notorious Scourge bug. There is a template attached to the Scourge ship called "Draguas", along with a 1500zen charge, before any changes have been made. After tinkering with the Tailor, and submitting a complaint, which resulted in a very prompt response from a friendly GM who tried to help me but couldn't, I did a Google search on the issue. Guess what I found out? This bug has existed on the Scourge class since at least SEASON SIX, and it has not been fixed. I'm disappointed to say the least.
I read a Dev note from last fall (2014) where the developers proudly listed the Scourge as being one of the ships that had been upgraded to T5U, a ship that has had a bug which renders it un-customizable cosmetics wise, for years, but they have no problem offering an even more expensive version of it. I hear talk of the majority of players choosing the Fed side of the board, so the developers put less attention into the KDF faction ships. I submit that it may be the other way around.
I have an account with four characters that I play primarily, one ROM KDF faction, the rest are pure KDF. Perhaps if the current developers put even half of the time into KDF ships that they put into the Fed ships, they might see an increase in sales, if not growth in KDF faction numbers. My issue isn't even one of performance. Anyone that has a Scourge knows that it's a great design and performs admirably. My issue is with such a ridiculously ignorant bug that it beggars belief, and not only that but with the idea that someone thought "Hey, let's take the broken Scourge and charge even more zen for it! That's a great idea!"
I don't know if it's in the thread already but the Romulans need a proper dark green skin for all their ships. The Valdore in Nemesis had this wonderful dark green color that was very similar to the dark green Scimitar skin we have. I know the T5U skin is a dark green, but it's not accurate and half the ship glows are blue, which the Valdore did not possess.
Missing ventral "thingie" (extension?) on the outer edge of the main deflector. There should be three of these extensions at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the main deflector. The 6 o'clock is missing.
"After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true. Except for a T5 Connie. That would be f*%#ing awesome." - Mr. Spock
Has anyone mentioned the messed up Warp glow on the nacelles of the Fed Command cruisers when coming out of and into warp? They glow at an outward-bent "V" instead of being aligned with the nacelles. VERY annoying and obvious (and likely a simple fix)
Hey guys, thanks for continuing to help document model errors and areas where older models can be improved! I don't know if our feedback has anything to do with the recent interest in revamping iconic Trek ship models, but either way I'm thrilled.
Thank you to all the great work that went into the new and improved Intrepid and Galaxy models, as well as the great changes made to the Negh'Var!
I'll continue the process of updating the original posts to reflect the feedback that you guys have been so tirelessly adding. Thank you again to everyone who's contributed.
I'd like to request that this thread get stickied, please. It seems to have some value as a resource, even when there aren't new posts being added on a daily basis.
I recently purchased the Eclipse Intel Cruiser and immediately customized the ship detail and pattern. Everything was fine for several days, then it suddenly reverted to the original detail/patter. I am now unable to make any changes or even reload the saved custom mods. Any thoughts?

Often stuff like this is fixed by hitting the "randomize" button. If not try to dismiss and reclaim the ship. And if that dosent't work either you might wanna get some dev support for this one 'cause then there's something severly broken.
Well, it seems that the Kar'fi isn't the only 'see-through' ship - I just encountered some Breen Plesh Breks and a Chel Grett in a foundy mission that were windows and deflectors, but no hull, just like what's shown here...

TOS Constitution model shows flickering decals in sector space, no other ship I have shows this beaviour.
Oh, and it may be unrealted, but the registry and name on the model doesn't change, it always shows the default name "USS Orinoko".

The Avenger battle cruiser has a little visual bug on the left nacelle. The visual blast covers that protects the nacelle hover above the the top of the nacelle whenever the ship is under attack. I have tried changing all the graphical settings and nothing seems to fix the bug. It's just a little bug but becomes very annoying while using the cruiser and begins to ruin the feel of the ship.

Yeah, I'm having this bug aswell. I hope it gets fixed in the next patch. Verifying the files doesn't work so it's obviously something to do with the engine.
First off I can't believe this thread isn't stickeyed, but I've recently gone back to my Guramba destroyer, got it looking sweet only to find when it switches to siege mode the base skin remains the same but the pattern and colours used vanish.

Defiant (all tiers) cannot use the Type 6 material on any hull other than the São Paulo.
Hopefully these will be fixed before the Kor and Valiant come out.

As seen here. And here.
As not seen here. Or here.
I thinks it's a lucky coincidence that the chimera somehow became unbugged. The kdf & rom vet ships are still broken, tested it yersterday.
Can confirm. I grabbed some beauty shots of my Chimera while I knew we still had it.
