It wouldn't be quite as frustrating (still frustrating, but not as much) if it weren't for the fact that this... this... THIS happened suddenly despite the fact that the game had been working fine for at least the last three hours!

This thread has been re-opened to allow further feedback if you're experiencing issues with logging in that are not related to today's ObjectDB shutdown.
Since today's server issue, I'm encountering login2_timeout? error messages when attempting to log in. After a few attempts I successfully logged in, but once in-game I am now encountering moderate to heavy latency, similar to what others have been experiencing. This issue is not new for me - I've had rubberbanding/latency ever since the 5yr anniversary, and it was only recently during week 2 of the DR event that such latency was alleviated (I'm still not sure how). It looks like, however, whatever happened during today's server mishap has reverted my game back to being nearly unplayable.
I am unable to play all day today due to constantly being kicked out. My characters are just in the social zones (i.e. Q'nos, New Romulus Command, etc).
I haven't had a chance to do anything except acknowledge some doff assignments before getting kicked out. This was after the server crash...

ever since i started playing the game back in august of last year, i have been disconnected in between missions, and at random. recently about a month ago, is when the getting disconnected at randome started. i get disconnected for no reason, and i lose all of my progress and have to restart missions. i noticed that when i am about to be disconnected everything stops responding except for the movement of my character. if i try to mdify my character costume after any mission, i get to were i am trying to save it and exit out of the tailor shop, i click save and i klick exit, and the game does not respond then i am booted. i used to see these red numbers in the loading screen that said "server not responding" with stopwatch like red numbers flashing, then i would get disconnected from the server. every time i have to log back in. please help me out.
new update, i cant even play anymore. i cant transition from a system to that space area i forget what it is called, the astrometric thing where you go to travel from system to system. point being, i cant play worth a darn anymore the game just wont work.
FYI - Still cannot complete the log in process - It did download the update today, but then went right back to sticking on the "patch" sequence without continuing to "engage"
"Login2_Timeout" error on login.
Slow to load launcher.
Lots of lag in game - unplayable.
Tracert for me.

Hope this helps, if needed.
I'm based in Australia. What does the above tell me about where the problem is?
Seems to be a jump at 9 - 10, which may mean it is before it gets to STO servers (???).
If this happened with any other application, or with any of the other people on my home network running applications, I'd say it was all me. If it only happened on log in, and wasn't happening randomly as I zoned maps as well, I'd say it was all me.
But, it isn't. And I see this thread is still active and has plenty of hits. Not a lot of responses though.
In fact, not even a response that says "We're looking into connectivity issues."
The thread started that way, was derailed into lag, and then abandoned. Well, not by the people that are having problems. They're all over this thread.
So if there's zero info on this just say so.
If there's another place to go for info on this, just say so.
If it really is all our ISP's problem, just say so.
If this is really just a collection of many different problems that you couldn't possibly address in one thread, just say so.
If we should all just be opening tickets and not posting here at all, say so. And THEN close the thread.

Same here hopefully resolved soon

Since today's server issue, I'm encountering login2_timeout? error messages when attempting to log in. After a few attempts I successfully logged in, but once in-game I am now encountering moderate to heavy latency, similar to what others have been experiencing. This issue is not new for me - I've had rubberbanding/latency ever since the 5yr anniversary, and it was only recently during week 2 of the DR event that such latency was alleviated (I'm still not sure how). It looks like, however, whatever happened during today's server mishap has reverted my game back to being nearly unplayable.
I haven't had a chance to do anything except acknowledge some doff assignments before getting kicked out. This was after the server crash...

Hope this helps, if needed.
I'm based in Australia. What does the above tell me about where the problem is?
Seems to be a jump at 9 - 10, which may mean it is before it gets to STO servers (???).
Thanks.
But do something.
