First, Earnestly, the rubberbanding is seriously interfering with my enjoyment of the game at late.
Not to put too fine a point on it, it's infuriating, so very much so, that before I spend another red cent on the game, I really must insist that it's taken care off. Please.
Second,
- I bought the intel ship bundle.
- I participated in the strike ship event:
- I bought the command ship bundle.
- I bought the Iconic ship bundle.
- I participated in the latest Xindi lock box ship event.
Consider "me" saturated in so far as ships and especially ship bundles are concerned at the moment. Thanks -
For me the problem exists in the frequency of the releases.
The price one must pay every three months for having a new play-style to try out is simply un-affordable to me.
I have to agree with this sentiment. The frequency of these bundle releases have ramped up considerably, so much so, that it's starting to outpace my ability to enjoy any of my ships before you release a whole new set again.
Nine more pretty much identical ships, for two special gimmicks (manoeuvres and pilot boff seat) that likely these nine ships will be the only ships to receive. Yay.
The only thing I like about this is the look of the ships. Though the Romulan one does remind me of a Protoss ship, it's still nice.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!
I wish they would have made the Romulan version more like the T'varo, or Daeinos. I like the T'varo. It's a classic Romulan look. They should have streamlined the body of the T'varo for this one. I don't like the look of this one.
I like the Defiant feel of the Fed Version, But; The wings fins should be straight, not curved. Tom Parris wouldn't approve of curved fins. The Deflector's line of sight is blocked. so... how's it supposed to work with bits in the way?
My complaint for the Klingon Raptor is the same as for the Romulan bird. Why isn't it a Bird of Prey? It should be a bird of Prey with a more streamlined profile. I figure the reason it's not a BoP is they are working on a T6 BoP. To bad. I might have considered getting this for my Klingon characters if it was a BoP.
Wow the more I look at Pierre's BoP the cooler it looks.
If the Romulan version was more T'varo like I'd get these.
If the Klingon version was a BoP I'd get these.
No real complaints about the fed version. Hopefully the bits can be changed around a little. Otherwise it's a nice rethink of a Defiant like ship.
Nice concept, but I'll pass on these. To bad, The Pilot abilities sounded fun.
Finally decided to make a sig.
I see allot of them with a character, and ship.
though I'm not sure which ship to put on there...
I'll think about it. This will do for now.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
That fed ship looks like the ugly love child of a Defiant and a Peregrine Fighter with rebellious nose piercings.
Oh! so those are nose piercings? I thought somebody had integrated 4 large carabineers for when they had to hook up the space tow ropes when it breaks down...
Why should I buy new ships when the game lags heavily with the ones i already got?
Also fed and rom ships look terrible and kdf one is barely visible but may still look okay.

While I appreciate that some thought went into these and that your graphic designer has some fresh ideas - the latitude they were given lately has gone from upgraded classic icons with a refresh to something that looks like a Ferengi repainted their ship and is trying to convince you it's a steal.
I love the ships, and I can tell you right now I will be buying the fed 3 pack at a minimum, possibly the rom 3 pack as well, or even the 9 ship bundle. I can't stand all the perma-sad people that get on here and complain. Don't listen to them, they are the type that will complain regardless of what you do. I for one am happy with the ships. I just hope they will come with 11 consoles like the command ships! I read post after post from people who wanted more t6 escorts. Well here they are.
Wow the more I look at Pierre's BoP the cooler it looks.
That's right on. Real nice designs there, unlike these pilot ships, sad to say.
Have to point out: Romulan command ships are a beauty seeing them in 3-D, then it went way downhill with the new D'D that looks like a toy and the trend continues with this, sadly.
As someone pointed out already, is this a more like a mislabeled elachi than a Rom ship. Out of all possible designs, it's like someone picked the very worst one possible, and then threw in unnecessary blocky fins that suggest anything but speed.
T'varo, Scimitar, Faeht, Rom Command Battlecruisers, Aelahl, Rom DSD, Daeinos, all real fine designs/re-creations, let's see more of this instead.
Everytime i see a new ship bundle i think of the old Shamwow infommercials lol
Hi it's Iconians from ShipWow, you'll be saying wow everytime! It's like an escort, it's like a cruiser, it's like a warbird. A regular T5-U ship doesn't work without a T6 identifier, this works with or without a trait!
This is for the Tactical Officer, the Engineer, or Science Officer.
ShipWow holds 20 times it's weight in DPS, look at this, it just does the work! Why do you want to work twice as hard? It doesn't need skill or talent to fly!
You mod it with your equipment you already have on your favorite ship! Made in Los Gatos, you know the cats always make good stuff!
You can cut the bundle into threes, use one as a tactical ship, one as a tank, one as a support ship. High DPS players, they use it as their main ship!
Put a Borg Cube in front of it, it kills the Borg Cube!
Here's some Undine, Tholians, Voth, Elachi... not only is your damage going to be on top, there's your awestruck teammates gazing in envy at your awesome new T6 ship!
Now we're gonna do this in real time, look at this, put it right there in that queue... okay, maybe not real time... maybe wait like 10 minutes for the queue to fill up. Okay, you following me camera guy?
Look, 50% of the mission is done already because of how awesome this ship is... oh, wait... rubberbanded, let's do this again and see if it registers this time...
It acts like an XP vacuum, and look at this virtually 1/14th of your way to another spec point!
See what i'm telling ya! ShipWow you'll be saying "wow this is extortion!" everytime.
I don't like this format at all. I think it is lazy across the board. I don't appreciate having three ships shoehorned into a single "type" with a slight shuffle of e/s/t consoles. If all designs are actually viable it leaves me under the impression that the central design is too diluted to justify purpose in the first place.
More importantly I am disgusted by the aesthetic limitations. At the point of this writing I have yet to see the physical differences between the three of a kind faction variants but I have the sinking feeling it will play out something like the command ships. There will be one ship type I will be interested in purchasing for gameplay purposes yet I will have to buy all three types unless I want to captain an eyesore. If you are going to lock aesthetically pleasing combinations behind a paywall how about selling the costume variants separately so it isn't necessary to buy two unwanted and unappreciated statlines with them?
On a positive note I feel the the Federation and to a lesser degree the Romulans got their very own an'quat. Congratulations. I should also mention I very much enjoyed the iconic bundle. The new ship designs were sharp and allowing the classic skins to crossover into the ship's tailor made them a joy to play around with. I would happily pay for more of the same.

Almost perfect; except for the last part. Should be saying "Wow this is what I need!" in exaggeration of the fact that you don't actually need a Pilot ship to do all that (at least, the top DPS'ers don't).
Ok so I have another tier 6 ship...and it has special officer seats.....
Just what exactly do these seats do aside from just being the typical station seats?
They don't give a bonus tot he abilities...they don't give extra skills....they do have a symbol for that station but that's seams to be about it.....
So I am just wondering.....
I mean wow I have two pilot seats....well that's neat....but if they are simply just the typical stations then what is the point?
Right now I have to swap out powers to have the other powers....which most are not that big of a deal....I mean they might be a big deal if I had more commander stations or something...but I don't think that's going to happen...and if I could get extra skills...that would also be impressive...
Right now these ships....sound kind of lack luster....I mean wow neat I get special commands to do maneuvers....but am I going to have to sacrifice officer stations....and other powers now because of this.....for a bunch of powers that can only be used once every 10 minutes?
< had to edit this bit in>
The really silly part is that my one character with a marauder supposedly the most maneuverable ship in the game....now cant even compete with these giant clunker vessels that can turn better, fly better, have more weapons and shields.....kind of sad in the end....the once supposedly super powerful marauder that was penalized on its shields and weapons and devices and console slots and bridge officer station seats and hull strength....is now a pail shadow to these new ships.
oh well....
Power without Perception is Spiritually useless and therefore of no true value.

You have officially moved from a trusted source to "ranting poster". I hope to see you come back as a informed, "wise" and even enlightend source of info,
Somehow you have changed into a noob, rage poster who obviously lost touch with reality. I think you need to change your sig to "Blame it on PEBKAC". Now that we are fighting the Icionians you may need a new excuse....
If the Romulan ones don't have Tovan emulating Slippy with random sentences like "Helm, do a barrel roll!", "Boogie on our tail!", "Yes, you did it!" "Ah ha! Thought you could hide from us, eh?", "Hey, leave us alone!", "we're epohn food if we don't leave!", etc... when doing any maneuver, I'm out!
I would be much, MUCH happier if we'd could get more "Iconic" designs (Defiant, T'Varo, B'rel) to take advantage of these new powers and traits instead of these... I don't even know how to describe these designs. I'm not even sure if "design" is the right word or that Romulan thing.
From a story/realism standpoint, there's a real problem with all these new designs. Last I checked, it was June of 2410 in the STO timeline, right? Mid-July at the latest. There have now been over twenty new Starfleet ship classes rolled out since the Odyssey-class was released. Ther is just no realistic way the SCE can crank out twenty new starship designs a year. Let alone the KDF or the Republic Flotilla. (For cripes' sakes, the Romulan Republic's greatest source of income was farming khellid nectar just eighteen months ago. How can they afford all of these ships?)
From a game developer / income standpoint, do you really think you're making more money selling your designs than you would by bringing our favorites from canon up to speed? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work the ship artists do and many of your designs are really beautiful. But a lot of them also miss the mark, and stats just don't sell as well as looks. Surely the safe bet, then, would be to bring the ships we know and love from canon up to speed.
I don't know, Cryptic. I thought you guys had turned a corner coming out of the Delta Rising fiasco but I keep seeing decisions that just don't make story or business sense. I'll keep playing, I may even buy one or two of these ships when their on sale, but I can't help but feel this is a missed opportunity for all of us, developers and players alike.

I am surprised there is not a Risian ship for the pilot class. What other race in the galaxy is more likely to have good pilots? Heck, the Risian Corvette is pretty much a 60's Hot Rod. Its like if a 65 Mustang had sex with a Cokeacola bottle, and gave birth to a space ship. (my favorite ship of course) They really need a Risian Pilot class T6 ship.
Hmmm.... Makes me want to go draw what I think such a ship would look like.
The Risian Corvette reminds me of a Megatokyo comic. I swear somewhere they had a quote in the comic, or on a product that says "Junpei sorry car half engine.". This comic has a variation of that. http://megatokyo.com/strip/1343. I think this is darn near the Risian strategy for many of their ships. Not including that big bloated party boat they call a cruiser.

Darn it, wish I waited on training a Boff, like the intel, unless you have the ship its a waste. Wish we could train the stations as well as the Boff?
With Andy Dick voicing it.
