I hate the Romulan ship. It looks like an insect. Apart from it being green, it doesn't look Romulan.
The Klingon one is nice. I like the sleekness of it, and the touches of the Kitinga I can see in it. It's a huge improvement of the horrible flying shipping crates that are the Klingon command cruisers. Nearly every Klingon design we see should look as well built as this.
The Fed one, just another Defiant wanabe. I couldn't care less. But it looks so blocky to be even worse than the Defiant... It's a pig nosed ugly brick... Come on... who approved this piece of TRIBBLE?
Okay, so I was actually expecting a cross-faction bundle, but doing another three-pack per faction, especially so soon after the release of the command ships is...well it's personally something I find quite annoying and tedious/tiresome.
I had been planning to buy the pilot ships for my ship collection when I expected it to be one pilot ship per faction with a cross faction bundle. Now though...I'm not sure. I'm going to have look at the stats and decide whether I want to pay that kind of money for the ships or if I'm going to just give them a complete pass. Hopefully if I give them a pass like I'm leaning towards right now then I'll be in the minority.
Edit:
Just to be clear this isn't an "entitlement" thing, this is me not being sure that dropping a hundred dollars on the cross-faction bundle is going to be worth it to me.
We've got the Federation Muscle Car...
We've got the Romulan Rice Burner...
We've got the Klingon...er...beat up ol' pickup of the guy that works on the other cars?
They don't look that bad. Still... Not gonna buy them.
Give me a Typhoon and I'll throw the money at you Cryptic. And so will half of the players. Till then, you gotta create a very very nice ship for me to buy it.
You're mileage may very and all, but I kind of like 'em. The Romulan ship reminds me very much of the Elachi escort, and I can totally buy that Romulans are studying captured Elachi technology.
I hope these sell well. Pappa needs a new expansion.
We just had an expansion that introduced a bunch of new skills and traits that are starting to lag many out as more and more get them. I don't think we need a new expansion until they fix the current skills and traits causing issues now.

Expect to see a pack every three months - this is the new standard for T6 spec ships.
The packs are a great deal for everyone if you think about it. If you only want one, you can get one, but the packs allow them to get the money back for the art resources invested in the ships' customization options. The 9-packs are a way to justify making ships for the lesser two factions, which if you remember used to get maybe one ship a year. They've gotten SEVEN in the first quarter because of the new dynamic.
As the usual disclaimer, nobody is making you buy anything. If you want them get them. If you don't, don't. The ships you already have aren't suddenly useless because a new batch came out. If they are too expensive, wait for the next ship sale, it's not like if you don't buy them this week, they will be gone.
Kinda surprised at a megabundle instead of a one for each like the iconics. I guess I was fooled by the appearance from the delta flight episode.
Fed ones look good. Klingon one is amazing. Not liking the romulan one at all, really hope the other two variants are more appealing.
Please tell me there's one of those awesome behind the scenes on design blogs coming for these? I know we'll get the stats, but I do love those concept art blogs. ^.^
Upgrades of the Defiant, Raptor and Dhelan, aren't they? Therefore no worries folks. You'll get to put the older looks on them.
Most likely we'll get an "Iconics 2" bundle in about a month if the trend continues.
Intel ships were released and the Iconic Science ship were released alongside it with an Intel seat (Pathfinder/Intrepid)
Command ships were released and the Iconic Engineering ships were released about a month later with a Command seat (Andromeda/Galaxy, Neg'Var, D'Deridex)
Now the Pilot ships are coming out, so I expect the Iconic Tactical ships to come about a month later with a Pilot seat. (Defiant, B'rel, T'Varo)
So, I don't expect to see the Defiant parts to be usable on this ship.

One question: why could it not have been a bird of prey for the kdf?
It just seems like a fit for pilot specialization.

Too bad they (so far) look like TRIBBLE.
Pass.
Set a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.
Also, I'm surprised you actually went with "Pilot Ships". I was actually anticipating their classification as being corvettes.

The Risian Corvette and Orion Corvette would disagree with you.

The fact that it's a set of factional 3-packs (for a grand total of 9 ships) would strongly suggest otherwise.
Corvettes usually have 50-100 man crews. You can't fit that in a runabout.

I give up with trying to argue about how out of control things have gotten, and we haven't gotten to the traits and consoles.
Back to playing Rust, where it's PvP all day and teamwork and balance exist.
Has money started to grow on trees, or something?
Also, I wonder how those Pilot Maneuvers will work under such lag...
Hrmm, I read it listening to the Chipmunks doing it from Batmunk.

Typhoon... C'mon...
Maybe marketing can make it sexy by saying all Piloting ships come with integrated Temporal Backstep.

Yeah, they're too big anyways to fit Defiant parts.
Go put a Defiant next to the Pilot ships in 'Delta Flight' they're way bigger.
