Same here as well...the game client is NOT working for me. Havent seen this before since the last 5 years...whats going on? Less server space for players?
Was looking forward to continuing my Delta recruit missions but alas it is not to be. The launcher app patches fine & then when I hit the "engage" button I just get the Cryptic load screen for a couple of minutes then a timeout error + submitting crash report. Hope the server's up 100% soon!!!!! so I can also enjoy my new T6 Starship !!

I am one of the many who has not been able to log on since the update. This question may have been answered already. If this error lasts too long are the Devs going to extend: the costume sale, the third week of Uneasy Allies rewards and the Second week of Delta Recruiting bonuses?

they said its some thing to do with the game any help please

I know the north is getting some bad weather. Not sure if that is the issue.
EDIT 835AM Central time - I just got DCd and now can't log back in. I had been disconnected several times before. It let me log back in, but I went immediately to SNR.

Hi, I realize you are aware of certain issues preventing players from logging in. However, are you aware that there is an issue that does allow you to even get to the character selection screen from the Launcher?
What is problematic is that once you update your launcher, you click "ENGAGE" and it starts to go into the normal process of taking you to your character selction screen. But, it never gets there. The black screen of death, then you see this little pop up in your lower right hand corner saying Cryptic Error Handler.
Do we uninstall and reinstall? Or is this problem something on your end? After all, you did just complete a patch this previous Tuesday. Was it something in that patch that created these issues?
I hope you figure it out, I for one would love to log in and enjoy the game.
We are aware of the Account Server issues players are facing. Our engineering teams are jumping in to help! Our engineering teams are investigating, poking, and prodding the account server as we speak!

Is this related to the connectivity problems many of us have had since the last patch? Will they be ongoing until next weeks patch?
Not having these issues acknowledged for days, seemingly ignored, is pretty frustrating. So, if we could get an update when they find more out, it would be appreciated.
Ok this is the second day in a row that i can't get into the game and after read this some of the post there others who have been blocked from logging in longer then me.
I have filed the reports with the Cryptic crash window. I have ran anti-virus, malware, driver updates, windows update, and have done the general system cleanup; and everything has come
back clean. As a player of the game i have done everything i can do to make sure that the problem is not on my end. Here is the issue that i am having.
Cryptic screen had approx. 1/3 of the bar completed and the screen went black and the
game quitand dropped me back to the desk top with this error message.
Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) while
checking sync query.
Technical Details: Sync query 7 0x55b9c0 GetData = = 0x887a0005 0 F 0 D3D11 Device

Have you guys with the video driver issues tried launching the sto gameclient directly? Create a shortcut on your desktop that points to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Star Trek Online_en\Star Trek Online.exe" and just double click it. I had the same crashes to the desktop and creating a shortcut to the game program fixed mine.
Server disconnected me roughly three hours ago. I've been trying to log in ever since, but either the launcher never finishes loading, the account server disconnects, or the server stops responding within a minute or so of getting in, on the rare occasion that I can get that far.
It'd be way cool if you guys could fix this.
Edited to add: Someone over there has a sense of humor. After waiting about a half hour for the launcher to load, I get "The website is experiencing technical difficulties. Normal game play is not affected."
Right under that: "Connecting ..."
I guess "normal game play" doesn't count stuff like logging in and staying connected.

Change to Directx9 in the cfg file.. that should solve it..
