Just like the title say, what race and career have you chosen for the delta recruit event? Or have you decided not to play the event? I'm thinking of going Romulan male, the career is tactical, and is ally to the Klingon faction.
I'm not sure on this yet. I already have a Fed Eng, Tac, and Sci. Romulan Tac. KDF Eng and Tac. I barely have enough time to play but 3 at a time. So 3 of them are low levels which I rarely play.
Plus from what I read the event will last only so long. That said it will knock me out of it. As I will barely get far into the story to get anywhere. You can only go so far when you play 2-4 hours per week.

Thinking a Joined Trill Engineer or a Romulan Engineer...perhaps both.
I'm just not sure what I want to fly these days...I wanted a Sheshar but I never got one from the few packs I did buy...and now that I thought it over the custom set I kinda want for it would probably cost me as much if not more to obtain.
Just been unsure what I want to fly lately
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
edit: Still think it's oddly funny that they're doing it after the Crystalline event. Create a new toon...that can't get the AP Torp from the event that just finished the week before! /facepalm
The noobiest one I could think of. Generic tactical human male with no customization. He's got the generic Cryptic derp face that is perfect for this kind of event. :P
Need to get more info before doing anything. I have 6 end-game alts that I never use anymore so I'm not likely to make another keeper. Fed-aligned Romulan tac is the fastest to level up a throwaway toon, since they kill stuff the fastest and you have all the Fed patrol missions to fill in the leveling gaps. Based on lack of info we currently have, most likely will do that if I do anything, then delete when finished.
Like others, I'm waiting for more info. I've got plenty of alts already, on both (make that all three) sides, each with their own stories... coming up with another will be/has been rough.
If the Hazari ships didn't cost $texas on the exchange, and I had a reasonable expectation that I'd want to keep the character after this event is over, I might make one of those - under "contract" to the Federation, to represent their interests in the quadrant.
I've chosen nothing for my race and nothing for my career. Why? Because I'm perfectly happy with my 6 toons. The grind to get the last 4 to level 60 is enough of a grind without starting ANOTHER toon. All 6 have multiple rep sets. My main has ALL rep sets. They all grind dilithium every day and have been doing so for months. No, I just don't feel like starting another toon.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
I know it would be a Fed toon and the only two races that interest me which I have not made are Caitan SCI (since I have a KDF Ferasian) that can go into my Atrox Carrier at End-game, or an Andorian TAC to eventually have the Andorian Escorts at VA level.
The problem with the Caitan is that it will cost 500 zen to use this race (not a good deal if I decide to dump the toon.
The Andorian is OK, but I wish the tier 1 Andorian Escort was made a part of the Andorian VA ship pack (it was part of some pre-game pack in Neverwinter).
Right now, Andorian wins since it will cost me nothing but time to make since I own enough Fed tac ships to get by in progression.
Klingon tac. From all the various giveaways over the years and ships I bought in bundles or for the consoles but never actually used, I have enough BoPs and Raptors to go from start to the Mat'Ha entirely in ships that I've never actually flown before, and my current KDF tac specializes in battlecruisers so a raptor will be something different. Moreover, while I"ve done 3 KDF toons already, they're Gorn, Orion, and Aliengen, and have never done an actually Klingon Klingon before, so again may as well do something different. Besides, an actually Klingon character, all the ranting about honor will make sense for once.
Of course whether she becomes a full character or just an alt depends on if this whole Delta Recruit thing turns out to be genuinely worthwhile or just marketing BS to get us to spend cash on something unneeded.
Two characters. First, I'm remaking my Federation Klingon that I had made (and discarded post DR), mostly because I didn't like the fact that I leveled him up via the Double XP event (for some reason, I lose interest in a character when I do that). Don't know if I'll keep him as an Engineer or turn him into a Tac.
Second character will be a KDF-Rom Tac Reman. Because I've never done that before.
I've never done a complete play through with a Klingon before. The second character I ever made was for the KDF and he's only ever reached level 44. So I think that's what I'll be going with. Possibly tactical as I tend to go with the other two.
And while I'm at it, I might exercise my writing skills. Rewrite the missions as I go through them into something completely different
Going for a ground sniper, space bomber fed.
I know saurian and terlite have access to superior soldier and don't have one of those, but might do another species if they have access to the trait.
Making a T5u akira photon bomber for him. Already have a plasma and trans and nothing like boosting that torpedo defense console.
I'm thinking Tac just to get through the story missions faster. Beyond that either a Ferasan because I haven't done the Klingon story missions in a long time, a KDF aligned Rom because they get all the best toys, or a Fed Lib Borg because I've never actually done one blue side.
Romulan liberated Borg Engineer KDF
And should i decide to keep that char after or during the event i will give the command warbirds a try.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

I may also roll a new FED Tactical male... Liberated Borg Human or Human... and he may be a spinoff of my BOFF crew. Haven't decided this yet, though.
Class? Engineering, because I have not tried that yet and Orbital Devastation is green.
Faction - thats a tough call. Part of me thinks KDF.
My one KDFer (engineer) stalled out early on so this will give a goal to shoot for.

Not bashing the event, just stating my personal take on the thing.

If it's not made an option you can still alien gen an Ocampa. Thats how I'm going to get my Vorta. Not perfect, but it works.
