Not sure it will help me or not. Between therapy and docotr visits and being doped up so much, it really can be difficult for me to find the time for these events. I keep little calendars and mark my days and qmendations, etc. I'm kind of pathetic, I guess. I just love the game and a lot of the folks I have met playing but it's become more of a hassle to play and keep up than it should be.
Please post the extended date for me if you find it, though. Maybe I can get lucky.
Could very well be true. You don't just take chat servers offline 'indefinitely', unless you're under some sort of siege. Would be nice if we ever got told the truth about it.
Seattle (which I assume Redmond in particular AKA Microsoft) was getting hammered. Soon after it looked like a laser light show coming into the US from China. I generally don't really care about such things until my ATM machine where I buy a coffee on the way home goes dark but this one seemed to be pretty big (as far as I know as I don't know much of anything about them). Just wondered if there is blowback trickling down the pipes from whomever has the unwanted attention.
The forums are fine. That's the only place I can play for the next couple of hours. :P
Well... it could take two hours if they are reinitializing from bare hardware..... install the OS, drivers, network management, etc. and then install the game (server side) and link up the databases, etc....
I'm past amused and past upset... all i wanted to do was complete Dust to dust for the last time for that ship shield now it looks like that ain't happening today i'm going to play SWTOR at least it works

LoL someone was talking abt Customer Service...they have no clue what Customer Service does; they made me reset the 5 yrs event to get the Omega Particles daily mission and then they dont wanna give me back the 400 Qmendations I lost doing what they told me
And after 1 week when I insisted to find a solution they told me to read EULA cause they can do anything and they wont reimburse , recover or repair my loss in any way and I cant do anything
So some idiot really showed me the finger - this is their "customer service"
As we can see in parts of North America and all over this part of North America, Canada and South America you can see the servers are down.
Over in Europe its the same story. If fact the whole world is having these problems.

In other news Cryptic servers have been discovered to have been from 2003 just shows you how ****e they are just like most of the staff at cryptic. This has been a growing problem and has no end in sight.
If you have been experiencing these problems call our user friendly number : 123 456 789 and you will be put through with one of there customer service team in about 5 years.

its a regular thing on this game. but the door is there if you dont like it, cryptic wont change because you ask them to or how entitled you think you are.

Customer Disservice would be a more apt name for PWE/Cryptic's hired "help".
We are working to bring the shards back up and beginning our next phase in the repairs/tests.
We should have an updated ETA for you in approx 1 hour from now.

With respect to yourself and others involved with STO and Cryptic. Please... no more ETAs. Post an announcement when the update is complete, but please spare us further disappointment. I understand there are endless complications and setbacks in regard to a task such as this, but you simply keep setting deadlines you can't meet. As a secondary friendly suggestion that you may pass along to those who make the decisions, perhaps try not to schedule shard maintenance in the middle of special events as the game moves forward. Hope all is coming along well..

And here we see, that not even the customer service is for the customer. It is basically a way for this company to collect information about bugs and issues. Then they count and work on the top 3...
This is intolerable! Every damned week, look, just get someone competent to take care of this stuff and leave it the hell alone. Is this what happens when you take the incompetent guy in charge of tech and put him in charge of the whole show? Holy frakk!

...kinda weird I've gotten more entertainment out of this thread than most parts of the game in the last few weeks....
To be fair I mostly enjoy playing the Missions in the Characters, sometimes they got annoying and just distracting (And I feel for a Star Trek game they focused WAY too much on combat and not enough on doing some diplomatic missions) but replaying them all after a good long while on a new character has been really fun. Plus being able to complete the Q Anniversary on my main quicker which I hope to retire in time to being a useful alt
I suppose it goes without saying there will be no compensation like a free key or something equally easy that would show appreciation for the customer? I realize the game is "free to play" but most anyone that plays it subscription or not pays something and you guys know that. Wouldn't kill you "apologize" for once with Actions vs Words. Just sayin'

I've worked in Customer Service over 24yrs and can assure you, service is the LAST thing you will ever get from Pakled World. They don't know or care about what customer service is. THey are some of the worst I have experienced in the industry...
