If this has been answered already, I'm sorry this post is late. One of the reasons some people are only downloading around 900 MB and others around 2800 MB is this: I have disabled "On Demand Patching". You can find this in the options for your patcher. People who uncheck mark this option instead of patching while switching to new maps that they have never been to before patch EVERYTHING before even booting up the game so they don't have to wait through patching while switching maps.
I started to dl the patch around 11am EST, it came as fast as it normally does, about 5 mins.
But another computer started at 12:10 EST and it took till 1:45 to download...
I also have my launcher disabled Patch on the Fly or whatever it's called.
Your patch now has to go thru the door at the new club 47 and if the bouncer at the door doesnt think your "COOL" enough you have to wait to get in....:)
Im too close to finishing to risk closing the launcher and having this nightmare all over again in the event it doesnt go faster. I can wait another half hour or so

2 PCs one with original launcher took about 15 mins, the second PC with ARC has been patching 4 hrs now and is on 73%. Don't know if it's ARC causing the slowdown or it's just coincidence.

Word from our Team is that if you restart the patcher now it should improve the speed. If you are still mid-patch, cancel it, and restart your clients and the launcher.
For some reason, within the last minute, the patch is starting to fly! I didn't do anything with the launcher but I WAS about to restart it. Let's hope this speed continues!

AFAIK, the patcher works like a bittorrent client. The more people are patching, the faster it should go. It would be crawling at start, but as more people start patching, speed should improve. Seeing the queues in game, that isn't the case here.

Yeah it starts off slow but you need to refresh it like either close the window and re open or cancel and restart.

I am always afraid that if I stop the patching purrcess in the middle, it will sumhow not load all files and then crash the game because of a half-cut file in the patch. I rather wait longer, butt at least all the files are in one piece.

Took the plunge and restarted the patcher, normal patching speeds now. Completed
