    on demand off and yep my 200mb line is rocking it now..... sweet ill be online in around 30 mins i hope

    Patch the tribble server its d/ling faster then switch back to holo server.

    I stopped the patching and started from new with the remaining files.

    I have finished patching.

    I log in.

    Ready. No drama.

    STO thanks the players for the most successful patch ever. Because you have worked so hard to make this patch work, a new item will soon be appearing in the Lobi store: The Elachi Patch Cannon.

    Elachi Patch Cannon will allow you to receive data at the former "fast-patch" rate. The secondary fire mode will allow you to receive 1000MB of data in 1 second. Primary mode has a 1 second trigger time, while Secondary mode has a 47 minute trigger time and 29 day recharge time.

    Elachi Patch Cannon will cost 500,000 Lobi and will be an account unlock.

    Just cancelled the patch & restarted it,was done in 5/6 minutes.

    At about 30% after 30 mins here in the UK.

    Considering i'm watching HD streaming TV at the same time and it is working fine this is pretty poor showing from Cryptic or PWE (whoever is in charge of the patch servers).

    Cool. Cancelled and restarted the patch and it finished in 2 minutes. Nice.

    Dropping the client and restarting seems to bump start it folks. Mines patched now.

    15GB tribble patching is faster atm, hoping some files will be copied and i have to patch holodeck less! ;)

    I just tried the Cancel and Restart thing. It's a little bit faster but I reckon it's still going to take over an hour or more.

    Patched 36.2MB / 899MB
    Received 36.2MB - 4%

    Well I got ingame with my on-demand patching.
    Have not downloaded anything more, started my daily crafting TRIBBLE and logged out...

    tried closing the launcher and restarting it a few times and the update downloaded a lot faster :)

    I had expected to be online around 6:30, it's now 7:15 here and I'm on my 2nd attempt at patching, coming up to 8%. I guess I wont be logging in today...

    Just restarted and i'm getting about 1MB a sec now, still going to take awhile but much better than the crazy slow speed I had before!

    Ok guys, I'd stopped and started multiple times, to no avail, but I remembered I had a VPN software back from another MMO that I'd played called WTFast. I used the free trial version, set my IP to boston, and connected. Patched in no time. Hope it helps.

    People are forgetting that we're talking about a lot of players downloading, at the same time, a 3 GB patch from what few servers and bandwidth Cryptic has available for STO patching (game seems to be on a separate line; everything's loading just fine and a Dev was chatting at the Club).

    I've canceled it once and it took off past 90% and then had stopped! Then now it Finished! :)

    I restarted the launcher and now it patches at an acceptable speed. Not fast but acceptable. Before I was stuck at 13.2% for almost an hour, now I have almost 50% in 5 minutes.
