Trendy can you elaborate on this at all? Last I checked you can only buy a ship once, or is this discount for EVERYONE who buys the ship, and the Monday-ers get the better discounted price?

I think it sounds like the pack will be sold like the delta pack outside the c store and can be paid for with a credit card and those who buy with real money get a discount. This would be a great way to reward cash buyers vs dilithium to Zen buyers or Zen stipend buyers.

I notice they tend to do it when it involves a controversial thing. Saying no T5's would ever be T6 and then going back on it a month after launch is one of the more ruthless things they've done to the playerbase, so I imagine you won't get a price confirmation until you log in.

They know they've done a bad thing so are trying to downplay it.

They never said t5 would not become t6. They said you wouldn't be able to upgrade your existing t5 to t6. They could still sell t6 versions of t5 ships as a refit or something else. You would be crazy not to think they would do this at some point as most people want to fly the iconic ships and it's been done many times before in this game.

First, too many versions. We have the T4 version. The C-Store version. The fleet version. The T5-U versions. And now this? If I had used an upgrade token or fleet modules on any of that, I would have been a seriously unsatisfied customer.

    So much this.

I am a MASSIVE Intrepid fangirl... I already own them all, including buying the Fleet version and then buying the T5U upgrade. And now another one? Why? Just to add a secondary deflector and let it use Intel powers?
I can guarantee that the Fleet will not carry over to the "Patherfinder" T6 variant.. so I'll have to buy the Fleet one all over again. Whenever those get released... as it is Fleet T5U ships and T6 lockbox ships are superior to existing T6 ships by 1 console slot and +10% hull.
Aside from the ability to use Intel powers. which... all fall into existing Tactical, Science and Engineering themes to begin with, and didn't need to be given to a single exclusive "Intelligence" BOff station (aside from an "it's special so it's extra!" sales standpoint).

Ah, the new STO ... making new ships on the following timeline, 10 for the feds, 1 for the roms, 10 for the feds, 1 for the kdf, 10 for the feds, 10 more for the feds, 1 for the roms, ....

i would like to know if there will be any more kdf/rom ships, if so when?

it would be nice if 2/3 of the factions are not left behind. so far it seems history is repeating i thought or hope that we have gone past this phase of nothing but federation ships.

i know more players play on fed side but you guys cant expect players to choose red if all the content and all the ships are federation.

Funny, no one is complaining that we have about 6 Galaxy variants with surely one T6 in developement and one T6 Fleet one following.

But the Intrepid has a fifth incoming. Bad Intrepid, bad!

OK, I'm not a huge Voyager fan, and I consider my Rommies my main characters and everyone else is a 'change of pace'. I haven't purchased any C-Store ships for my Fedlings, and have been planning on just upgrading their Dysons (for free) and probably upgrading the Nebula retrofits that they all have. Maybe a Fleet Nebby for my one Sci alt who wasn't around to get the freebie Dyson.

Still, I"m at least a little intrigued - I like the Intrepid design, and I prefer Sci ships in general. Buying the T6 would at least give all 3 Fedlings a good ship for the future.
This awesome new science vessel will be available in the C-Store in three packages ... In addition to these three great options for purchasing the Pathfinder there will also be a $5 discount on every Pathfinder microtransaction from Thursday morning through Monday morning.

The discount perked my ears up, but of course I can't find where any pricing info or dates of availability have been released yet. Any news on when to expect it yet?

lol.. I love how blind you are, or the fact that you seem to have access to info the rest of us are not lol..

so far 3 ships are out with secondary deflectors.. all three ships needed to be purchased.. the only way to get said secondary defl in game as it stands, is to buy it.. I do not see this trend stopping. and given cryptics track record, im probably not wrong.

Utterly wrong. There are 6 total not counting varients. It is quite clear you are not aware of the event reward Solane Sci ships. These ships HAVE secondary deflectors and were out before Cryptic decided to sell a diffrent version on the Zen store.

Sooo... first get people to upgrade their T5 ships to T5-U, having them believe they can't ever bump their ship to T6, and then take them again for a T6 version of the same ship, later on?! (Which won't be called '

Seriously, what are you complaining about?

Delta Quadrant is based upon Voyager series and therefor a remake of the Intrepid is nothing more than logical.

The Klingon and Romulan fan boys should stop ranting and consider the possibility that it has absolutely nothing to do with them. Stop acting like spoiled children.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I think on twitter the devs stated you can use the Intrepid interior on any ship that doesn't have a locked in interior, namely the lockbox ships.

I can only imagine the consternation from somebody who bought the C-Store version, then the fleet version, and then shelled out for a T5-U upgrade thinking that no T6 version was coming. And then learned that they had to pay out even more to get the Voyager interior.

It would have been far better if Cryptic had made clear that the T6 version was on it's way and gave people the option to upgrade the T5 or not.

This pretty well sums up how I feel myself. I have all of the previous C-Store versions, and recently bought a T5U upgrade for my LRSV Retrofit. The only reason I don't have the Fleet version is that my Fleet hasn't reached Tier 5 with its station yet. (Never thought I'd count that as a good thing! At least now I can save the fleet module purchase for a future Fleet T6, I guess.)

In all fairness, I can even shrug off the purchases of the Refit and Retrofit versions for the most part. I've owned those for quite some time now, so I feel I've gotten some use out of them -- some value for my money.

But the T5U upgrade -- really?!? That really feels like an underhanded bit of business, in placing the LRSV on the upgradable list without any mention of a forthcoming T6 version. I'm definitely feeling some real buyer's remorse on that one. Wish they'd offer a discount for T5U LRSV owners, but I'm not going to hold my breath or anything.
    Live long, and prosper.

Personally i prefer the version that whoever creates an account with the intent of ranting that person skips the introduction and posting on these forums all together.

But then he looses credibility?

How the hell did videogames in the 80/90s survive without an internet forum to blow steam off? :D:D

You wont believe how many romances and controllers were destroyed because I didn't like how Mario was looking in this racoon suit.

    business as usual, right cryptic?

That said I have a sweet shirt with a picture of Mario dressed up like Rocket Raccoon. I think that's something like a racoon. It is not, however, a tanuki suit, which is what Mario wears. Gee whiz!

People's irrational need to whine and complain about everything that they don't agree with like a child doesn't deserve a response from anyone. Anyone who didn't see a tier 6 Intrepid coming is a fool. Anyone who thinks there shouldn't be a tier 6 Intrepid, is a fool.

They're giving a $5 discount, that covers anyone who upgraded. They don't have to do that. It comes with new consoles, intel boff and a completely new interior. As many have pointed out, the tier 5 Intrepid has a 3rd tactical console slot, so people will still prefer that one. Yes, there will probably be a tier 6 fleet Intrepid eventually, but you don't have to have it. You don't need anything. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

But there's more people that do want it than has posted in this thread. People complain that there are so many tiers of Intrepids already, which means that people want that ship every step of the way while leveling. Cryptic is in fact giving the people what they want. No, it's not what everyone wants. But should the people that want it be denied? The people that don't aren't losing anything, but those that do would.

Bottom line, Cryptic can do whatever they want. For so many people that say all they care about is money, well obviously they know what they're doing to make it. And they will make money off of it, so why shouldn't they do it?

Grow up, get therapy, move on. The anonymity of the internet shouldn't be an excuse to act like a psychopath. Irrational anger at a video game and developers? Get help.
