Can we at least be assured that this balance pass is only going to effect the post level 50 scaling of pets and not the pre balanced levels upto level 50?
If it is not just level 51+ pets then why the big nerf as everything was working as intended after multiple balance passes on them already?
At that point I didn't even have the desire to grind XP for specializations. At least I could still enjoy my carrier JH dread gameplay... Even with its gated frigate pet BS. I was hoping for Christmas to get a t6 carrier..... Now I don't even know if I want to put out the effort for your grind for it.
It is with an extream amount of self moderation that all I say is **** this change.
:eek: Wha??? HP/shields too high? You nutz? Especially on fighters who pop when you look at them? Does anyone use peregrines? They die before they even do anything. Now I might agree that some pets are OP vs other pets, but not EVERY pet is OP. I know my Tholian frigates survive well, but my Romulan Drone frigates are always dying.

Indeed, I have advanced Delta's.... in MI-normal they vanish within 10 seconds of a NPC's CSV. Obviously this is just too powerful and they need the nerf because they live to long. I mean, they may have the chance to get one shot in each before they die.
All clouds have a silver lining though. The money I was planning on spending on this game over the next month is instead just going to go in to just paying on a pre-order of the Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and Masterpiece Star Saber. I was considering only being able to get one and having to wait on the other, but they have succeeding in relieving my entertainment budget of an additional expense by working to make this game so god-awful that I no longer want to fund it.

We will be making some changes to Carrier Pets (e.g. Peregrine Fighters, To'Duj Fighter, Klingon Bird of Prey Pets, etc.), separation pets (like a Galaxy separated saucer, MVAM Pets, and TalKyr Support craft, etc.), as well as similarly related pets (like the Odyssey Work Bees, consumable device Scorpion Fighters, Gorn Healing Platform Drones, etc.). All these items are leveless items and all these pets were using incorrect data that was causing their HP, shields, damage and healing to be...

All this means now is you'll in the future need to buy stronger pets in order to keep up with current content(assuming even they keep up).
I'm starting to think more and more, there needs to be someone at Cryptic that plays the game, and not just play the game but play it like it's a full time job so they can go back and provide the needed feedback to the devs and tell them what needs work and what doesn't.
They seem to have no clue as to what's happening to their own game at times, and it's not as if they listen to player's feedback any longer.

Cryptic is simply blatantly refusing to fix its problems. Been that way, pretty much since retail launch really.
Perhaps it is high time we did jump ship, no matter how much loyalty we have to the StarTrek Franchise. In fact, if you do have that kind of loyalty, you should jump ship from STO on the bases that cryptic is both ruining the game and abusing your interest in StarTrek.
Perhaps we should start recommend better games to each other as an open rebellion against cryptic and its years of failure to address real problems and abuse our love of Star Trek, treating us like crack addicts.
I imagine a lot of people have already done that. Honestly it is almost like they want to destroy the game, they're making practical progression so linear now, especially in space, ground is okay but I'm just waiting for their nerf to that.
I think the game is at the point you need to either leave and speak with your actions, or live with the TRIBBLE.

The HP, shields, damage, healing and related values for these pets are all being reduced to scale more consistently with other player gear.
Does this mean our pets will be affected by what gear we've got? Or does this mean that a level 60 player's pets are basically auto-scaling Mk. XV+ and it's a global nerf?
Either way, it's a TRIBBLE change. Carrier pets are just about perfect the way they are right now; durable enough to only sometimes die when hugging those exploding warp cores they love so much, and doing enough damage to kill 1 enemy frigate in the time it takes my carrier to kill 6.
Don´t know where people come up with these 15k DPS Figures.
Just did a ISA Pug and over the duration the 7 Elite Romulan Drone Ships i summoned did a grand total of about 8,5k dps.
Thats about 1,2k dps per summoned pet over the duration.
Now, i can see that the Elite Romulan Drone Ships have too much Hull Points (like 87k or so)
But damage-wise?
So my saucer sep.and hanger pets were to powerful. I must have been using them wrong because they seem to blow up all the time. Really stupid move here. Not surprised by anything lord geko and his merry men do to ruin this game anymore. It just means my exit will come sooner. My wallet is closed forever from these guys. Next it will be T5U ships were using wrong data and have to be nerfed. Don't be surprised if new and better pets show up in the c store.

They often dont follow you and get stuck and killed as result.
Their hull is already paper thin.
Your main ship is losing hull and shield hp while activating the separation.
Cant we expect that this feature (a feature we paid real money for) is halfway useful?

He was a selection by a fandom querry on what characters they would like to see and then handed over to a specialized design team so as not to mess with the existing Masterpiece Release Schedule. Takara-Tomy/Hasbro are pretty good about knowing how to market things to their core fandom while also marketing things to new people being introduced to the Fandom...... something PWE/Cryptic has not figured out yet. I would suggest they may want to talk to Takara-Tomy/Hasbro about how to make money off of a core dedicated fanbase.

I wouldn't wait for it. If I recall correctly, a dev statement (some time ago, mind you) was that separation pets are meant to be only gimmicks and are designed to be inferior to carrier pets, since carrier pets are what people pay for (elite pets).

Just because you don't like what they're doing? They are demonstrating otherwise with their content. Player amount(ALL players, not just how many are whining or quitting) and revenue greatly outweighs what random player opinions are on it.
I have defended Cryptic on multiple occisions, I have even told people to just deal with it and stop the damn whining and complaining already. I can NOT defend this action. Not after the Japori debacale and other issues they have had with their own data and yet here they go again announcing a HUGE nerf something that WASN'T broken!! This is a serious WTF... it's not like this really effects the pvp whiners... not many people darn to use hannger ships in there cuz they can't min/max a ton of DPS on them.
My main has a Tac Oddy that I upgraded. I bought a Eclipse to grab the trait but I have actually been very happy with my 2 combat pets of late as they have been useful as something other then minor targets. I always used them just because these are the things that made my ship "special" in the first place so I wanted to continue using them and I used a loadout setting to take them out for other consoles if friends/fleetmates wanted to run elite content to boost defense and DPS. But for my own enjoyment I tend to leave them in and use them, in their current form I can leave them in as they live longer and deal enough DPS that I can legimately use them even in harder content. They put this through and no way again.
I have a Rommie alt with an Arkif carrier with elite scorps... they still die all the time... my feddie sci cap has an upgraded tac Vesta I guess those hanger pets will start to go die left and right again too (I switch between Delta flyers and Runabouts).
My prediction on this is they plan to nerf pets saying they are too powerful just to nerf them and then offer similar or a little less stats on new pets or upgrading the current ones lol.

In some cases, the sum of the players pets were far outperforming the players ship itself. The HP, shields, damage, healing and related values for these pets are all being reduced to scale more consistently with other player gear.
Pets that are not affected are those that deal damage based on the player, instead of independent data. Changing these pets would have no affect since they are already using player data (e.g. Andorian Wing Cannons, Avenger VATA torpedo, Bio-neural Warhead, etc.).
This change only affects pets, and not the playable versions of any of these ships (e.g. the playable Jem Hadar Attack Ship and Danube Runabout are not affected).
Here is a complete list of all pets that are affected. If a pet is missed, it is probably a mistake. Please let us know, and we will look into it.

I take it you missed the P1->CaptainGeko interview that mentions a starship upgrading school. You can craft shuttles and frigates first before eventually moving on to full starships. That's when we'll probably be able to upgrade them.
Seems this is in response to folks doing advance ques and winning using pets... cause you know pets have the same stats and NPCs :O so they were boosted way above what it was before DR.
Before game was balanced but with DR they jacked up the resists, shields, hp and dmg of mobs and our pets were pulling data from that same table as opposed to using the player table.
this just goes to show that this game is no longer balanced nor fair... instead of giving mobs better AI and making things more of a challenge, they just jacked up HP and stats of mobs and called it a day.

Your using wrong pets... need elite frigates. also they are looking at the advance ques... pets are pulling from the NPC tables... so I am guessing, on Advance they get jumbo buffed.
