"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
As always completely without any postwork (except the use of demorecord).
You have an amazing eye for taking screenshots; they're stills, yet have so much life to them. I find myself checking this thread almost everyday because of these. Can't wait to see your pics from the Delta Quadrant!
and I have another one for you guys, same as before, same ship, but different angle... I think this one actually looks better than my last as always the native resolution is: 9816 x 3448. Enjoy!!!
This reminds me of a certain famous Battlefield 2 (if I recall right) screen grab which shows an AAM appearing to pass through a Blackhawk via its open cabin doors...
While its default look is a little too busy, with the right combination of alt parts, you can turn the Guardian into a classy (if a bit generic) Fed cruiser:
