"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

Okay, I am genuinely confused by the content of this last post. Except the U.S.S. Picardo, that bit I can understand.
Those shots are made on Tribble. The first is my Intrepid, the PICARDO, with the new look of the model that comes with Delta Rising. The second is a shot of Captain Starbunny, her Commander, in the ready room of the new, on Voyager based, interior. Third is my Atrox in the new Borg Disconnected STF and last, a shot of an Undine with some debuffs on it.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about ST: Enterprise. Come to think of it, there aren't even any missions where you can encounter an NPC NX-class, is there?

Not yet. A time travel mission to the 2150s - maybe the Earth/Romulan War - would be amazing.

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
