"No." D'Tan answered, "I do not." He then pressed a button on his console. Immediately four armed Romulan guards entered the room. "Take this one to the holding cells. Isolate him."

"D'Tan, please, listen!" Talven started, but was quieted as the two guards grabbed him by the arms and led him out.

D'Tan sighed, then looked directly at Aahuus. "You will forget any mention of Aramus or the subterranean ruins. You will speak of it to no one and you will not, under any circumstance, attempt to access the ruins yourself. The area is highly unstable and treacherous, limited to specialized research crews only." He then nods to the two remaining guards. "Please escort out guests to the Staging Area. This meeting is over."

The guards look to you and motion to the door.

Aahuus looks at the door, then back at D'Tan. " My silence can not be earned by a show of force, D'Tan. I do require compensation..." he says.

He tightens his grip on the spear, and prepares himself for a fight in non-obvious ways.

Knowing he didn't have much time left before they discovered his shield, Jacob quickly drew his weapon. Reaching around the corner at a high level while he was still crouched made him appear to be standing. As the Romulans shot at where he would be if he was, he rolled out of cover and shot each of them once in the chest. Walking over, he slapped a beacon on both of them, allowing for them to be beamed back to his ship. He continued down the dark hallway.

D'Tan shakes his head and sighs. "I find the likes of bounty hunters quite distasteful. Distasteful and dangerous." He takes his seat and looks to you. "What is your price, then? And be quick about it. I am a very busy man."

With the Romulans beamed out the caverns again seem empty. Following the corridor you reach a dead-end. The odd luminescent flora seems to be concentrated here, casting a pale glow over everything. At first nothing else seems out of the ordinary. A closer inspection of the wall, however, reveals a strong heat emanating from the other side.

"... I want a pardon for any crimes I may have committed against the Republic, and... asylum. Whenever I want it." Aahuus says. " Or I will release the information I received from Talven, and that you have a certain Project going, I'm assuming to try and harness the natural abilities of this world."

D'Tan tilts his head and studies you more closely. He draws in a deep breath and releases it slowly before taking his seat, fixing you with a glare. "Mol'rihan is your home whenever you choose it to be. You are welcome to come and go as you desire. However, as far as sharing information... You will do no such thing." He states flatly. "Or maybe you would. Perhaps you'll run from here and scream it from the rooftops so loudly even the Klingons can hear you from Q'onos. To what end? To bring threat of danger to our new home? To our people?" He leans forward, "To those representing both the Empire and the Federation who are working so hard to assist us? Even if I were to exonerate you do you truly believe you will find asylum anywhere after exposing us all to such threats?"

He sighs heavily and steeples his hands, bringing his forefingers to his lips. "What crimes have you committed which you would seek absolution for, exactly?"

"Oh, I don't know. I commit so many against so many others, I thought it safe to do so here. Just search Stelam Jhaelaa in your database and give a pardon. If there is nothing, good." Aahuus says, waving his hand in a dismissive gesture.

He turns to leave. Then stops. " On the subject of information 'yelling', do not presume to know me. Do not presume to know the channels I swim, nor the people I do or do not know." he says slowly. " For all you know, I'm a personal friend of the Empire's Chancellor and the Federation's President..." he adds.

    Then leaves.

D'Tan sits in silence for a few moments, contemplating. He finally presses a button on his console. A moment later an aide enters the room.

    "Sir?"

"Contact J'mpok and Okeg. Arrange a debriefing immediately."

"Yes, sir." The aide bows and turns to leave.

"And prepare our newest guest, the Tal Shiar operative, for interrogation. I'll oversee his processing personally." D'Tan adds.

Aahuus walks out of D'Tan's office and looks around, then starts heading outside.

It was interesting to meet D'Tan. Not the person Aahuus thought he'd be. Though he guesses government did that to someone. He walks out and shakes his head.

"This damn thing is killing me!" Aahuus mutters loudly, then takes off his bandanas, showing his Romulan features for the first time since that day weeks ago.

[OOC]Urgh! This week has been killing me! Sorry for the delay...[/OOC]

Aiel stood on the mezzanine and stared down as the guards removed Talven from D'Tan's office. Releasing a sigh she realized she had no choice other than to bring her plans forward. If Talven was willing to reveal what he knew then everything she had been planning would fall to ruin before it even began. She pulled a small device from her pocket and flipped it open. She made a few quick adjustments then presses the single button inside; a signal was sent to the aide with updated instructions on a carrier frequency specifically attuned to the borg implants that had grown in the aide's brain by now.

Tucking the device away she straightens herself to leave, then notices a very familiar face as he walks out of D'Tan's office and towards the exit. A smile touched the corner of her lips. 'Maybe this wasn't going to be a total waste after all.' she thought to herself as she watched Aahuus make his way towards the doors.

The aide was reviewing a report on the incoming food ration supplies when a strange, alien thought popped into his head. As if in a dream, he abandoned his report and made his way to the munitions locker where he pulled out a Romulan pistol and a medical tricorder. Tucking the pistol away under his jacket, he made his way to the holding cells.

Two guards stood in his path. "I'm sorry. No one other than D'Tan is to see the prisoner. These orders come from D'Tan himself."

"I understand." The aide says remotely. "However, I am D'Tan's personal aide and he has asked me to collect a dna sample from the prisoner prior to the interrogation. He says it is pivotal that his be done ahead of time." He holds out the tricorder. "Or would you care to explain to D'Tan why his direct order was denied?"

The guards look to each other, then cave. "Fine, but make it fast." They say as they lower the force field into Talven's holding area. "One of us will escort you..."

"No." The aide snapped. "If this prisoner sees an armed guard he will be far less likely to cooperate, possibly halting the process. I will only be a moment. if I need you, I will call out."

They look to each other again, then shrug and allow the aide through.

In his cell, Talven looks up as the aide enters. "Who are you? Where's D'Tan."

"He'll be coming shortly." The aide says as he moves closer, then hands the tricorder to Talven. "Hold this, please."

Talven takes it and looks to the aide curiously. "Why?"

"Because I find it awkward to, hold that and a weapon at the same time." the aide says as he draws his pistol. "The Tal Shiar send their regards."

Before Talven can yell a blast of hot plasma burns though his chest, killing him. OPutside, the guards hear the shot and come rushing in, just in time to see the aide turn the pistol to his temple and fire.

Stelam quickly cracks his neck, then puts the mask on again. No need to endanger his life for the damn thing. He starts walking away.

    OOC:

*Looks around the barren wasteland, seeing the ruins of civilization.*

    Not even dystopian...

*He adjusts the clothe around his head, protecting himself from the sun. He then looks back at the small figure behind him.*

"Are you alright, Storm?" he asks.

She nods. "I am uncle. Will we ever reach our destination?" she asks.

"Of course!" He replies, with a kind smile. It disappears from his face when he turns around. Like the dust of this desert they were in...

Be it death or salvation, we had better reach it soon... he thinks, and spurs the camel foward.

I apologize for not posting on this thread. After my last post, I went on vacation, and didn't have internet during that time period. Additionally, when I got home, I was hit by a car while jogging. I was hospitalized up until last week, and much of the time was spent in a coma. It was very bad, and I am lucky not to have been paralyzed.. I hope I can return to this thread if prierin returns, although I am still recovering. Thank you for understanding.
