T5-U's may end up being TRIBBLE, but I'll stick with my Odyssey thank you.
I feel the same way. So full steam ahead to T5-Fleet Upgrade version. There is something deeply not Federation about the ships except for the Guardian ship.
EDIT:
My question was especially aimed towards the "Guardian Class", will it be possible to use Venture Class ship parts on it?

I think all I would really want from that are the two Fed cruisers and the Very Rare Boff's and Doff's...the rest meh. So I probably won't get it. Guess I'll probably piece meal it.
Fleet Admiral Thomas Winston James a.k.a. The Grayfox Fleet Leader of:
Liberty Task Force/Liberty Honor Guard
Pride of the Federation/Pride of the Empire
Liberty Guardians U.S.S. Liberty, NX-42813-L, T-6 Legendary Odyssey Class
These are supposed to be stealth ships...the guardian doesn't have a cloak
Mentioned in a previous post that it doesn't make sense for an Intelligence Bridge Officer to be on a ship that can't cloak. Doubt that the Guardian Cruiser will have an Intelligence Bridge Officer since it seems like a tanker especially with that console.
Probably the treaty that was signed after Surface Tension where they made the Alpha Quadrant Alliance official. Also, Empress Sela was kidnapped by the Iconians so it is not like the Romulan Star Empire is in a position to complain about the Federation using cloaking technology.
Never thought I would see the day when I would be supporting Federation cloaking devices, but we should have expected it when Smirk started supporting it about a week ago.
Heh, good call.
Although, I'm one of those Trek fans that finds the idea of the Treaty of Algeron completely stupid. I know Roddenberry was totally opposed to the Federation "snooping around," but it's an EXTREMELY LARGE strategic advantage that the Federation gave up... and the Romulans violated it one or twelve times.
After the FIRST violation, I would have burned the Treaty on the floor of the Romulan Senate, if I were in charge of Starfleet. :P And, yes, I would have made it into the senate hall. :P
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Whats the last new ship that got more ship parts to play with?
I seriously doubt there will be any customization with these. Maybe if we set the forum on fire we'll get "we plan on it in the future, just not now" response.
I'm kinda sorta thinking about it, but to be honest I don't play all that much anymore. I haven't even bought any of the LOR stuff yet, for that matter, but that many ships and the stuff that goes with them, plus the upgrade tokens... ehhhh, I still dunno. Tempted though. Very tempted.
Count me in as one of the people who's probably not going to get this, unless two things happen: It comes in a Fed-only variety, and its available in the C-Store. I have a ton of zen saved up, and I run 3 Fed alts.
It is, it's pretty much a re-skinned Excalibur from Perpetual.
The science ship is also a reskin of an early Perpetual design.
Except that it has got that hideous Cryptic typical Egg shaped saucer.

Nah. The Excalibur hardly had any secondary hull to speak of; just a big neck with a deflector pod at the end. The Guardian looks like Probert's old Ambassador concept (or at least the little sketches down the side do).
Looks like they're referring to the ARC Launcher to launch STO game. I use it. So I believe most you use the old way to run the game. So ARC has to load first then click on Play to get the other screen up that reads [ENGAGE]
So any one else gets this mesage "Oops!
Sorry, we cannot find the webpage you have requested. Please check the URL again or return to our homepage." when they pres the link in the anouncement?
I'm going to have to start my own Dave-Mart Lay-away for the next couple of months to get this puppy.

Ah, yeah, now that I look at the sketches it does.

Downloadable Content: Requires the base game Star Trek Online on Arc in order to play.
Is it finaly here, arc or no star trek online ??
yea I would like to know also what does this mean if I don't have arc I cant preorder?
looking at the ships
The KDF and Rom ships look decent
the New Fed ships (besides the Guardian Cruiser) look VERY BAD
I get that your trying for a new design...but these don't even look close to any fed ships...atleast the Guardian Crusier LOOKS like a fed ship

Either a slip up or a sign of forced migration.

Or hopefully just an indicator that new downloads of STO are unavailable via a separate download or standalone launcher.
If I could afford the pack then I would get it. Guess I'll have to wait or collect them a ship at a time.

The Romulan ships are pretty nice looking especially the cruiser if it lives up to its sketch art.
The Klingon ships are meh.
But those Fed ships are appallingly ugly. I wouldn't fly those if they were free. Which is unfortunate as I play mostly Fed.
Welcome to STO: Tron Rising.
They probably made it for Talaxian NPCs anyways, so by throwing it into the pack this way they can call it an Exclusive Bonus.

The Guardian is not an "Intelligence Class" ship, it is a standard cruiser.
