Same problem here. Trying to update launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting 5 times.
So what is the problem? Can it be fixed from my end. Witch I doubt because every other program I have is connecting fine. How do I make cryptic aware. Any help here please. On the weekends I have a short playtime window. I would hate to miss out on being able to get 2 shards from the crystalline mission. Oh, well business as usual.

Angry nerds. Great. Well, this is going to take a while. Guess I'll go do... something.

Or not. Launcher/Log In is working again. For now...

It's not an issue on your end. If you had connection issues to internet then that would be a thing to try. Since it's not, you shouldn't.

Following your advice. As a what-the-heck-try-it-and-see, I defragged 96% of my D drive, which occasionally helps after patch download/installs. Didn't help this time. I guess it's time to try to be patient and wait. *chews fingernails down to the knuckles* :)

Same problem here. 30 minutes and counting without being able to log-in.

Its curious, again, when an event is in course, connection problems start to appear. Always the same story.. cryptic, come on... it is not a isp issue, it is something about the game servers i guess (as always).

Still can't connect, and as for the error message, if it were a problem on our end (like the error messages always insultingly claim) then we would have no internet connection to be on these forums to send the pointless tracert.

sigh, the only 1 hour i have to do the event runs, and i cant login. As always , nice timing cryptic. Well, at least its probably they will extend the event 1 or 2 more days. As they should. And this happened everytime, so...

I managed to log in for a little bit, but then when I got to an in-game patch during a mission, the "server not responding" error happened.
    After only 4 months, 19 weeks, 134 days, it's here. It's real!

I needed to patch to enter an area. It took a long time. I thought for sure a DC was coming, but it patched and I'm still logged in as I type. Hopefully everything will get sorted out soon.

it`s the curse of the crystalline entity, theres always server problems when they run the CE event. :(

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

There are always sever problems when an event of this sort is active. I remember the past mirror invasion event (it was exactly the same with the same rewards), we had the exactly same problems than now.. curious.

STO worked just fine this AM , and came home from the day , sat down to play it gets to the patch screen ,sits for about 3 seconds and I get a crash report and then the game dumps out.
Nothing on my system has been changed and I updated everything restarted ..and still nadda .
All other aspects of the PC work just fine - I've checked for disk errors, ran antivirus, and in a fit of desperation for my STO fix , even checked to see if perhaps Windows needed an update ...and nope..I also tried resetting the router as well. I DFU.
I have seen this error commented on before - but the tech talk is over my head to follow to attempt a fix LOL . I've done a crash ticket but Lord knows how long that may take ...

    Any suggestions or advice ?..

I have a different issue, after the emergency maintenance of 26 august, my password would no longer work in the launcher, this password was also used for the arc account.

After jumping through all the account password hoops I managed to log into the game again only to find I am a "new" player without my former lifetime sub.

I submitted a ticket through the support/arc channel, but as of now several fed/klink and one rommy toon are gone, as well as my lifetime sub with over 1400+ days on it.

As for the two posts I have recorded after 1400 days well that's due to the fact that somehow I am now a "new" account.

My old account is unobtainable by the old username password, and changing the password on both launcher and arc made me a new player.

    Hi,

    1) Shurk submit a new ticket to PWE ...

    2) Give them your char names they can rehash the account hopefully

    3) Try using your EMAIL<<< as the username and your OLD password - once and if you get in change the password on the game client if that is possible...good luck let us know - I got back in using my email both to game and Arc (Arg) .
